Background/History
Raien is a nekomata, a cat yokai with two tails from the japanese folklore. He possesses the ability of manipulating fire and thunder and a thrill for killing combined with his vengeful rage. Almost nothing is known about his origin, other than that he was an ordinary cat which was born in Kamakura period and began his metamorphosis in a certain age. The only thing Raien knew was revenge, because he saw his owner, a 20-year-old man, being killed by a group of Akuto that invaded his village. The cat then, transformed into a nekomata and killed all the Akuto invaders, but his revenge didn't end here. Blinded by rage and thirsty for blood, Raien terrorized some villages, even the same village he lived before, with intensily dark clouds, full of lightning and thunder, and extreme fire around him. However, a group of Shogun Mages stopped Raien and his violent action and sealed him into a bright stone, then sent to a portal that may take to another world, according to the Shogun Mages themselves
