Sometimes life have an unpredictable turn when you less expect it. This uncertainty happens when things that you were use to, are not happening how you expected it to go anymore.

That's exactly what happened to Sebastian when he moved to the states. He used to live in South America. However, his father got a job in the states, so he and his mother moved to a better life in a new country.

His dad was wolf and his mother was a siberian husky. He took more from his mother than his father, but everyone always confused him for a wolf through and through. He was an average size kit for his age, a little slimmer than his peers, with black fur that covered most of his body, but his stomach was white. He had the face of his father with the body and features of his charming mother, that meant that he was more on the caring and humble side than a proud and arrogant half wolf.

The young mix cub was in the beginning of his puberty. At the age of 12 He had some mild interest on relationships but nothing serious about anything. Before he relocated he had noticed that most of his friends had some relationships with different girls, he always considered them not appealing to him. He had started to think about himself lately and asked the question why was it like that, something that would wonder on his head.

It was already summer and the first day of class for the young half wolf. It was seven in the morning when his father knocked on his door.
"Good morning sleepy head, you have to get up, so you don't get late for class on your first day." The wolf whine a little before he sat on the bed thinking about his day ahead. He got up and started to get ready by brushing his teeth, take a leak and groom his fur for the day to come. After changing his clothes, he exited his room and went downstairs to the kitchen. He found his father and mother. His dad was reading the newspaper while his mom was making breakfast. He sat down next to the kitchen table and sighed.
"What's wrong honey?" Her mother asked when she heard him sighed.
"I don't like that we moved to a new country where I don't have any friends and don't know how to communicate with others. How can I make new friends like that?" he talked in a frustrated and sad tone.

His dad looked at him and said "your English is fine. You know that you love it and you always get the highest scores in that class when you are in school." Their parents knew him very well and understood the way that he actually felt, but he didn't realize it. It was his frustration speaking, not his brain.

"Eat up hon, maybe these pancakes will lift you up and help you carry you through the day." The husky woman told his son.

When he finished breakfast and brushed his teeth, he was ready to go to school. The beginning off his first day at a new school. The bus didn't take long to pick him up from the bus stop. He greeted the driver, who didn't even bother to look at him. He sat down on the first seat available and just waited for the ride. The bus picked up a few other furs, younger and older than him. After some time the bus took them to the school.

After arriving on the school he was kinda of surprise when he saw the building where he was going to receive classes on. It was nothing out of the ordinary on the states. However, from when he came from, the public schools were nothing more than a little building that looked cram and old.

He went to surround the school and saw that they had many fields for sports to practice. From soccer field, to basketball, to volleyball, to american football. Even a racing track that surrounded it. He was amazed by all the things that the public institution had. He went back to the rear of the building and sat down by a nearby tree waiting for the bell to rang.

A couple of minute after in fact it did and students started to fill the building. He waited a little bit until the crowd started to thin out and made he's away to his class. He tried to look for his classroom but got lost by the size of the school. "Are you lost?" The young cub heard.

Upon turning around, he saw a young teen looking at him, he was a cat who had long pointy ears and black spots throughout his face. "Hi, my name is mark and i do counseling for pups like you in case you need to talk to someone of your age." Sebastian didn't know what to say after that introduction. He had always been shy around people who didn't know.

"Uh" that was all what the wolf could say before Mark spoke to him again.

"What? Cat got your tongue?" Mark giggled a bit. Sebastian didn't understand why he was smirking and giggling. "What you didn't catch it? Cat go your tongue and I am a cat duh."

Sebastian just looked at him before saying "sorry i'm not good at jokes, english is not my first language, so it is hard for me to understand what is the meaning of it." Mark understood it because he had seen many kits like him before.

"It's okay I was just trying to be funny. Anyway are you lost?" He asked again.

"Yeah, I cannot find my classroom. I am new to this school" Sebastian said.

"what’s your classroom’s number?” mark asked.

"7 A" sebastian answered.

"Oh, is this way, follow me. By the way, I don't think I heard your name."

The cub looks at him and said "Sebastian, my name is Sebastian."

The cat Look at him before saying "Can I call you sebas?" He tried to be friendly about it.

"Uh... only my parents and my closest friends call me like that." The young cub didn't know him very well to be that friendly with him.

"Sorry, I was trying to be friendly, I hope I can become a friend of yours one day." Before the cub could answer they arrived at the classroom. "Well, my offer still stand. If you need help with counseling for anything, come to the counselor office and if you want to speak to me you can request me, if not an adult can help you with it. Have a good day." The cat went on his way.

Sebastian looked at the classroom and saw that a few of the cubs were already sitting down and waiting for the class to start, some looked at him wearily when they saw the new cub walking in but didn't tell him anything. He make his way to an available seat that was near the back. After sitting down the second bell rang.

A lizard woman came into the classroom and nudge everyone to sit down. "Hello, classroom, are you ready for a new day of school?" Sebas heard a collectively whine when the teacher asked about it. "Okay, okay, be quiet. I know that class isn't the most fun, but it is essential for your life. Anyway, I know that it has been a month since school started but we have a new classmate that we have to introduce before we start the day, so please come at the front and introduce yourself."

Sebastian standed up and shily walked to the front of the class, stopping by the side of his homeroom teacher. "Come on introduce yourself don't be shy" the woman said. Sebastian was nervous to be at the front of the class on his first day. He saw so many faces that he had not see before, it was overwhelming for the young cub.
After a couple of seconds, he said in a low tone " "Uh, hello my name is sebastian and I am twelve years old." He didn't know what else to say so he just stay in silent for a little bit. The woman seeing this started to speak and tell him to sit down, when he got to his seat someone spoke to him. "hello, my name is mike. Nice to meet you."

Sebastian heard next to him, upon looking at his side he saw a snow leopard talking to him.

"Hello, nice to meet you too." He said with a low voice. Soon after that the first class of the day started. It was math to start the day. The wolf didn't mind about it, he felt indifferent for everything that was not English class, it was the only thing that liked to learn.

The teacher said "we will start by doing some exercises from the previous class. Sebastian because you were not here before, you can join your classmate next to you and try to follow along where we are right now." Before he could say something the leopard had move his desk next to him. "Looks like we are going to be partners" he said.

The class wasn't anything out of the ordinary for him, just some fractions and subtractions exercises that they needed to do. Math class was slow, it felt like forever to end. When it did the students got up and went for their next classroom, sebastian did too. Walking to his next class gave him time to think about the leopard, he was friendly and looked eager to be his friend, however he didn't know if that was the case or his willful desire to have new friends.

The cub arrived at his following class that was history. He tried to look for mike but he was nowhere to be seen. He sat in one of the front seats because the back ones were already filled with other cubs. The history teacher soon arrived and looked at all the furs before told them to seat down. The panda started talking about how the continent of "America" was discovered and explained that christopher colombus try to get a faster route to trade to india, but to his suprise he discovered new land instead. Sebastian didn't bother listening to the explanation, he already knew about it and have learned about it before.
The same thing happened in the following class of science. He didn't interacted with anyone and people who looked at him only stare for a moment and continue with what they were doing. The cub was shy about the fact of talking to strangers and didn't feel confident to start a conversation by himself.

The bell rang and all the cubs exited the room to go to recess. The lonely wolf waited for everyone to exit the room and started to move to the school cafeteria. Slowly but firmly he started to walk to the room where now it was fill with other furs. He waited in line until it was his turn and picked the first thing he saw on the menu. After picking up his tray, he started to walk to some available tables but got distracted by someone calling his name. Upon looking to his side he saw Mike sitting on the table with some other furs and a girl by his side. He started to walk to the table and sat down when he got to it.

"Hey dude whats up" the snow leopard said. With a shily look sebas try to remember his name but he had forgot about it "uh... hi" was the only thing he could say.

"What? did you forget my name? I'm mike... once again." The wolf just stared at him. "Anyway I would like to present you to my girlfriend. Amanda this is Sebastian; Sebastian this is Amanda."

The bunny girl tried to start the conversation. "Oh hi Sebastian, are you new to the school? You look shy but cute." The wolf had not the best track with talking to girls before so didn't know how to respond.

"Thanks. I guess..."

"Do you have a girlfriend? If you don't, I know some friends of mine who are looking for a relationship and I think you will be a good fit." The wolf didn't thought about hanging out with girls yet but he knew eventually he would have to do it in order to fit what was considered "normal".

"Maybe I don't know yet." Was the only thing he could say.

"Ok think about it and let me know if you are looking." The bunny insisted.

"Alright I think he is a little uncomfortable by the sudden interrogation, maybe we can talk about something else." The leopard intervened and try to change the topic of the conversation. After that, they didn't talk much just the usual, like mike played football and how he was one of the Stars of the team. It wasn’t long before the bell rang and everyfur went their own way.

The last class that he had was P.E; Sebastian wasn’t the athletic fur, but he didn’t mind doing exercises instead of been stuck in a classroom. He went to one of the available lockers that was passing the indoor basketball court, and started to undress so he could change to his new outfit. Once he did, he went to the field and waited for more instructions.

“Ok class, come to me and get next to each other in a row.” The lioness female said. Every fur so did, and she started explaining the activity for today. “We are going to play dodgeball, I hope everyone know the rules, so I won’t explain it. You must be in a team of 6 so please do so.” Sebastian wasn’t sure where to go because he didn’t know anybody so he tried to fit on the first spot available that he could find. Suddenly someone tapped his shoulder asking him if he wanted to join his team. It was a Samoyed dog who try to get him to join.

“We are doing a bet between canine vs felines to see who the superior ones are, and I am sure with a wolf like you we will beat them out pretty easily.” The half wolf didn’t want to refuse but the truth is that he wasn’t technically a complete wolf.

“Sure, why not.” Sebas replied.

“Alright now that you have your teams please get in the field.” Before the furs could do it, one of the canines on the team talked with the teacher and gave the idea of them to start first as a showdown between the canine and felines of the class. The woman liked the proposal and accepted for them to be the first one to play. This only put more nerves into Sebastian, who hadn’t played the sport before and was trying his best to go with the flow. They began to position themselves on each side of the court and waited for the woman to blow the whistle. Once she did the furs ran to pick the balls, but Sebastian stayed still without an idea of what to do. He started to just go with the flow of the game when seeing people dodging the ball. One by one the cubs started to throw balls at each other. When Sebastian saw an opportunity to pick one of the balls in front of him, that's when he didn't expect it to be a trap set up by the other team. He got hit by a ball on his face making him fall on his back, the furs from the sides were laughing at him. He just whine and got back up, but suddenly he felt something warm running down his chin. Upon touching it he saw that he was bleeding, and the teacher blew the whistle to stop the game, she urged one of his classmates to take him to the school Infirmary. He started walking with his head up so he could stop bleeding. He felt like a loser and felt bad that he didn't make any friends.

Once they arrived at the Infirmary the student that was with him left and the nurse took care of him, she told him to wait until the school was over to get back. Sebastian was laying on the bed with some tissues to stop the bleeding. It was five minutes after arriving at the Infirmary that he heard the bed next to him Creek. He knew that the Infirmary was a place where different furs would come if they had a problem, so it was no surprise that there were more cubs like him there. He heard the nurse talking with a boy and upon looking, he saw a fox, a cream color canine. He was a little smaller than the wolf but looked energetic when talking, like trying his hardest to sound positive about anything, almost sounded fake and was being scolded by the nurse.

“You know that you cannot overwork yourself, it was too much for you this time.” Then nurse said.

“I know, I know, I have heard the same discussion before, I thought this time was going to be different.” The little fox said. The nurse didn't see the point of telling him again what he already knows so she just left.

The wolf just wanted to sleep so he just rolled on his side and waited with his eyes closed until he heard a sudden call next to him. “Hey, what's your name?” The little fox said. Sebastian didn't bother to look at the fox thinking that it wasn't talking to him, until he heard again “hey I'm talking with you wolfy.” Sebastian rolled to his other side but was surprised when he was face to face with the fox. Just a couple of inches away from him. He was frozen for a moment when facing this awkward situation and tried to play it cool by lifting his head little by little.

“Uh, my name is Sebastian what about yours?” The half wolf spoke.

“My name is Ethan, and I am a fennec fox.” He said standing there proudly with his hands on his side almost like he was posing for him. “Why are you in the Infirmary and what’s all about those tissues?” The little fox asked.

“It is nothing, I was just playing dodgeball and I got hit by a ball on the face. It is pretty lame right?” The wolf sighed.

“I don't think it is lame, and I think you tried your hardest. You should be proud because of it” the little cub smiled to him. Sebastian felt a little weird about a younger boy comforting him, but he thought that it was nice of him.

“thanks I guess, I haven't thought about it that way.” He was feeling better about it now that the younger fox praised him for it. After it they heard a feminine voice calling Ethan from outside.

“I think my mom is here, I will leave for you to rest.” The younger boy picked up his belongings and exited the Infirmary. Now Sebastian was alone, lying in bed thinking about the day that he had been through. He thought about Mark and Mike and how friendly they were to him, but he didn't know them very well, and now with Ethan he felt more comfortable than with those two even though he couldn't put his finger on why it was the case. Suddenly, he thought about how he didn't know the fox’s class or anything about him apart from his name. It was something that will stay on his mind throughout the day.

The final bell rang, and the wolf got up and started to make his way to the locker to gather his things. Once he did, he exited the building and waited for the bus to arrive, it took a little bit because there were so many furs waiting for the bus. Once it did, he sat at the end of the bus and waited for it to take him to his destination. He started to listen to music while the bus was going on its way. It didn't take long for it to arrive at his home.

He thanked the driver and made his way home. Arriving at the door he saw that there were no cars parked in the driveway that meant that his parents were probably at work. He got his key out and opened the door, he first went to his room to get a change of clothes before jumping on the shower. He didn't like the feeling of sweat on his fur, so he tried to wash it thoroughly with soap and shampoo.
After drying himself, he looked in the mirror trying his best to flex his biceps trying to show a little muscle, but the truth is he wasn't fit, but he liked to think that he was. After changing his clothes, he went downstairs and sat on the couch to watch TV. He just didn't want to do anything, so he tried his best to stay still and waste time.

Two hours later, his parents came into the house and saw him lying on the couch. “Hey Sebas, what are you doing”? His father asked.

“Nothing, just watching TV.” The pup answered.

“Well honey did you do your homework already”? The Husky woman asked.

 “No…” the little wolf responded.

“Well, what are you waiting for? Go and do your homework and once you're finished come to the kitchen, dinner will be ready by then.” Sebastian got off the couch and went directly to his room and started doing his homework. It was mostly a bunch of math problems that were causing him to rethink the problem and figure out how to solve it. Once he finished his homework he went downstairs to the kitchen and saw that his parents were finishing setting up the table. He sat down in front of them and started eating.

“How was your day champ? did you make any new friends?” The older wolf looked at his son “

I don't think I did but I met a couple of cubs and a teen who seemed friendly enough for us to be maybe friends?” The little wolf tried to sound positive about it.

“That is good Sebas, you will not find friends from one day to another but meeting new people is the first step to make it a reality.” The Husky praised his son for it.

“Yeah, maybe one day they will become my friends” the little pup sounded hopeful about it.

The dinner was more of the same, mostly his father and mother talking about how their day went. The younger wolf was seldom interested about it, often spacing out. Once they finished dinner, he helped to wash the dishes and went to his room. He played on his phone while lying on the bed waiting for the time to go to sleep. Before 9:00 o'clock his father knocked at his door and told him to go to sleep. He knew that the next day was another day of school, so he tried to close his eyes and fall asleep hoping that tomorrow will be a better day than it was today.

Conflicted feelings
Story about a young cub who is trying to figure out his life. Who knows where this road will lead to.

I will upload a longer story next time, this was just the introduction for whats to come. Cannot promise that it will soon but I will try to continue this story, I have a lot in mind that I will like to write but it will take time. I had to do a little research for everything to feel right but I feel satisfied with the result.

If you liked it wait for the next one to come. If you didn’t, comeback when things will start to get spicy and interesting. Cannot say more or I will spoil the fun but I will try to experiment every angle 7u7.
