...Yeah, the culture is insane.
Well, at least they can be ghosts-types forever!
All's well that ends well.

In all fairness, I don't think she really knew what a little shit Anax was. All she saw was his charming side... and thus was blinded by love and didn't really stop to think why her father killed him. Though it is pretty twisted that her blind hatred of Prometheus  caused her to not think twice about the death of her other parent. It's honestly pretty messed up no matter which way you slice it.

Yeah, no, I still think he's pretty fucking blameless. His people where murdered, he was enslaved and provoked, hes been yanked around by everyone in his life save his family, and half of them hate him for...yaknow, not just continuing to fucking take it when he thought his daughter (the one that hates him) murdered?? Fuck.

note this is not a complaint about the comic, this is me having Feelings

Yup. Aside from killing Atys, Prometheus pretty much did nothing wrong in this entire comic.

Huh, so it's just a story about parental sacrifice? I think the overall story and elements are great, as well as him blindly sacrificing for his child for their benefit, which is opposed to the normal theme of willing sacrifice for their child. This also plays well with the theme set up by him and his family lineage motif, but the "him escaping to the modern/civilized world feels unneeded. Maybe it should have been him working with kids, or around parents to start to plant the seeds of this revelation? 🤔
Anyway, always interesting to see what writing stuff you come up with 😁

Him going to the modern world was a representation of a loss of identity. Him playing with children wouldn't be a loss of it, but a gain of it. I didn't want him finding ties back to his old self, because it would mean nothing to him. I wanted to show that the culture Haxorus has runs deeper than societal ties. It's inherent to a Haxorus to want a sense of self, amass knowledge, and a lack of that despite their form can drive them to suicide due to the inherent feeling of inadequacy. Prometheus tried to find a place, but the identity he developed since birth was gone, leaving him with no coping mechanisms or ways to build on. :-(

I'm sorry, but putting that white text over the Dragonair's white body in the 5th panel was very short-sighted; I can't see that at all.
