L: In a strange world between worlds, the most famous and infamous combatants from many different realities are brought together to see just who the most powerful truly is, in a seemingly endless series of battles known as the Smash Bros tournament.
Of course, even given the serious nature of the fights, there's still room for relaxation and socialization. One of today's battles has ended not too long ago, and several fighters have made their way to a pool to unwind, including the purple space dragon Ridley, who is still frustrated at having lost the battle they'd been in.
S: among those fighters was Yoshi, the famous green dinosaur themselves, they happen to notice Ridley was frustrated about the battle they lost, having spectated his match before hand, he walks over to ridley with a frown
"Still upset you lost that battle huh?"
L: Ridley looks over at them and grumbles a bit. "Even HERE I can't beat Samus. I keep getting closer each time, but it's not going fast enough, and I'm sick of waiting for it to finally happen."
S: "Hey, don't lose hope yet, I'm sure you'll eventually beat Samus, you just gotta keep battling! That's the only way you'll get better!" yoshi smiles up at ridley to hopefully cheer him up as the fighters soon arrive at the warm pool
"Maybe the pool will help calm you down"
L: Ridley sighs. "Well, that's obviously why I came here. Didn't think this many people would show up here... The ones that won their fights better not be annoying about it."
S: "I'm sure they won't be! Just try not to think about it! Imma stick with you"
Yoshi takes off his shoes and sets them aside so they don't get wet, he tests out the water with his feet
"Mmm, pleasantly warm"
he then let's his body go into the water and sighs happily
L: Ridley slowly gets into the water as well, a slight smile forming on his face. "About time I got a chance to relax again..."
S: yoshi giggles at that
"You definitely deserve it I think" yoshi then swims around on the surface for a while with ridley, even tho ridley was a nasty character, yoshi was still good friends with them and cared about his well being, as with most of the fighters here
L: And Ridley was happy to be friends with Yoshi, despite not having really cared about having friends before. Still, it didn't really change how he feels about most other fighters. He briefly dips underwater a few times as he swims.
S: yoshi dips underwater a few times as well, then gets an idea
"Hey ridley, with there being a lot of fighters swimming on the surface, maybe we could spent some time underwater, it might relax you a bit more, you can hold your breath fine I'm sure"
L: "...It IS more crowded than I'd like up here... That's a good idea. No need to worry about how long I can hold my breath, it's probably longer than what you can."
S: "I don't know about that ridley, I mean my record is 30 minutes right on the dot, haven't reached that far in a whole tho but I've done it before, what's your record like anyway?"
L: "Wait, really?" Ridley looks over at them in surprise. "Didn't think you had that kind of time in you... My best isn't actually that far off, it's 38 minutes."
S: "Hey, I have to go underwater a lot in my world, so it's only natural that I have to be good at breath holding...but hey 38 minutes is pretty good too, how did you end up getting that time? I thought there wasn't much water in your world"
L: "It depends on the planet, some have more than others. A lot of my practice was actually in space, I can fly out there despite the vacuum, and it's quicker to get to and from a planet's surface like that."
S: "Oh, I see I see...I could never do something like that, space actually scares me quite a bit... which is why I almost never go up there, but that's nice that our breath holding times are close and all, I'm looking forward to spending some time with you underwater Ridley" yoshi smiles warmly at ridley
L: "You do seem to get nervous on the space stages here... Anyway, I think I'll be enjoying this too." Ridley starts doing some deep breathing.
S: "Yeah...so now you know why, i always get nervous in space..."
yoshi starts to do some deep breathing as well
L: After a while of getting ready, Ridley holds his breath and dives down. While he doesn't puff his cheeks, it's still clear he's not breathing down there.
S: yoshi holds his own breath and dives underwater as well, his cheeks are lightly puffed up, it's much quieter down here then on the surface, making Yoshi feel more at ease
L: Ridley clearly feels better too, smiling as he swims down to stand on the bottom, looking up to watch Yoshi come down as well.
S: yoshi swims down with ridley until they both stand on the bottom, then yoshi gives ridley a hug to help him calm down further
L: While Ridley still doesn't really see the appeal of hugs even after being friends with Yoshi for so long, he does know that they like them, so he hugs them back.
S: yoshi smiles as ridley hugs him back, letting some small bubbles loose from his nostrils
L: After that, Ridley decides to sit down, blowing a few bubbles as he does since he knows that won't have much impact on how long he can stay under.
S: yoshi sits down next to him and gets comfortable, leaning against ridley a little as he closes his eyes to relax fully
L: Ridley puts an arm around Yoshi, and looks up to watch the other fighters swimming for a while.
S: yoshi sighs out some bubbles in relaxation, he's perfectly fine with being somewhere that's not breathable
meanwhile, on the surface...Pikachu, the most famous pokemon ever, was challenging Lucario, the aura pokemon to a breath holding contest, Pikachu looks up at Lucario with a smirk on his face, adjusting a pair of swim goggles he has on
Pikachu - "I'm telling you for the last time, your not gonna win! I promise you that!"
L: Lucario: "Yeah, like that'll happen! I meditate underwater a lot, there's no better breath holding practice than that!" He's getting his goggles on as well.
S: "Pffft! So what?? Ever since I saw you do it, I did it one time for practice and gotten way better because of it! I'm telling you, your gonna lose, and your gonna lose the money we betted!"
L: "Oh, SURE I am. I've already got an idea of what I'm gonna be spending MY winnings on after this..."
S: "Yeah right! Like your gonna be spending those said winnings, I'm gonna be happily spending MY winnings on awesome stuff! So watch your back lucario! Your going down!"
L: "Well, we ought to get this started, huh? Unless you're too scared..." The lucario starts deeply breathing to get ready.
S: "Too scared?? Nah! I'm not scared at all! Maybe your scared deep down! Hehe" Pikachu starts deeply breathing as well
L: "We'll just see about that..." Eventually, the lucario's ready. "Let's do this! 3, 2, 1!" He gasps once more and dives.
S: Pikachu gasps one more time as well and dives at the same as the lucario
at the bottom of the pool, Yoshi notices that someone else has come down, he squints his eyes and sees Pikachu and lucario, he taps on ridley's shoulder to get their attention about this, curious as to what they are doing, yoshi's face just a tad bit red
L: Ridley looks over at the two Pokemon to watch, not blushing just yet.
The lucario sits down on the bottom, already trying to relax as much as he can.
S: yoshi watches too, wondering what the two are doing
the Pikachu sits down next to lucario and closes his eyes to relax as much as he can as well, not letting a single bubble loose
L: Recognizing that they're having a breath holding contest, Ridley smiles and adjusts to get a good view of them from where he's at, wanting to see who wins.
The lucario isn't letting out air either, his cheeks lightly puffed as he closes his eyes too.
S: Yoshi - "Ooblh a contblest? Thblisll be fubln to watblch!"
yoshi turns around to get a good view as well, smiling at the pokemon
the pikachu's cheeks are lightly puffed as well as the time slowly ticks by
L: As time passes, Ridley finally starts to blush, though he still doesn't have his cheeks puffed yet.
The lucario continues to stay calm, not blushing at all just yet and not realizing they're being watched.
S: yoshi is still perfectly calm without much of a twinge
the pikachu is staying calm as well and not blushing either, determined to beat his friend at this contest
L: The lucario opens his eyes to glare at the pikachu in determination, before noticing that Ridley and Yoshi are watching. He gives a little wave, and Ridley nods to him.
S: the Pikachu opens his eyes to glare back at lucario before noticing yoshi and ridley, he too waves at them, with yoshi happily waving back at them and encouraging them to continue
L: By now, the lucario is just starting to blush a tiny bit, though he still looks pretty much fine other than that.
S: the Pikachu still hasn't blushed yet, very determined to win this battle
yoshi watches intensely as bubbles escape him, a blush slowly creeping more onto his face
L: Ridley's blush gradually expands as well, though he continues to manage to ignore his need to breathe as he watches the breath holding contest.
The lucario shifts a little to get more comfortable, bubbling a little bit before he holds his nose.
S: the Pikachu shifts as well to get more cozy, pinching his own nose shut as he too bubbled a little
yoshi keeps watching as he moved his arm to cover his own nostrils as we slowly approach double digits in breath holding
L: Ridley doesn't worry about that himself, just sitting as he has been the whole time. He does finally puff up his cheeks a bit, though.
S: yoshi turns back and sees ridley puffing his cheeks, he can't help but smile at that, giggling a bit as his own cheeks are still puffed
the Pikachu stays determined, his face finally flush red
L: Ridley does seem a little bit embarrassed at Yoshi's reaction, but he doesn't mind it a whole lot.
The lucario grunts a little as his face goes fully red too, still refusing to surface.
S: the Pikachu makes no move to surface himself, just as determined to win this
yoshi let's out a small grunt from his need to breathe, but he stays put to watch the whole show
L: Ridley is determined to stay down for the whole thing as well, at least for now.
The lucario smirks at the pikachu as he notices they seem to be at just about the same point he is.
S: the Pikachu growls out a few bubbles in determination, we hit a total of 15 minutes, now the pikachu's face is turning slightly blue
L: The lucario's face is getting a bit more blue than normal too, as he growls a little as well.
Ridley's face is still just red, and even though he's occasionally losing bubbles, he doesn't hold his nose yet.
S: yoshi keeps staying down, even as his own face is turning slightly blue, he wonders who's gonna end up giving up as the Pikachu shifts in discomfort
L: The lucario is squirming in place a bit, not able to relax any more as he puts his other hand over his mouth. "Mmmgh...Mmrk..."
S: more time passes by, a total of 20 minutes now in total, the pikachu's face is now slightly purple, whimpering in fear as he's getting close to drowning
yoshi's own face is fully blue, struggling to stay down, he looks up at the surface, wondering if he should surface real quick for a breather
L: The lucario's starting to get a purple blush too, but he still keeps going, even as he's starting to shiver a little from how badly he needs to breathe.
Ridley is just beginning to get a bit of a blue face as well, though he continues to try to ignore it.
S: yoshi decides against surfacing to keep watching
the Pikachu's whimpers gets louder and louder, squirming around as he fights to keep his breath held tight
L: The lucario keeps whining as he watches the pikachu, bubbling even with his mouth and nose covered while he hopes they'll surface soon.
Ridley's face is soon fully blue, and he's starting to grunt a little every now and then, though it's fairly quiet.
S: the Pikachu seems like he cant take it anymore, but he refuses to surface still, but he's dangerously on the verge of drowning and yoshi who's still watching is getting concerned
L: Then, finally, the lucario just can't hold it any more. He exhales a cloud of bubbles as he jumps off the bottom, frantically swimming up to the surface.
Ridley smiles a little at the sight of it, and with the contest at its end, he goes up to breathe as well.
S: yoshi goes up to breathe as well, and Pikachu smirks at lucario surfacing first, he then swims up himself a bit frantically once yoshi and lucario surface, once he did he heavily gasps for air, coughing a little bit as he takes a moment or two to catch his breath
yoshi gasps heavily too and pants a little
Pikachu - "Hah...hah...hah... looks like you just got bested by the famous Pikachu, lucario!! Hahaha!!!!"
L: Between gasps and coughs, the lucario glares at the pikachu. "F-fine, you win! Ugh!"
Ridley is panting some as well, just not as much. "Good show, you two! That was fun to watch!"
S: Yoshi - "I agree! Very entertaining! You both did a great job!"
Pikachu - "Hehe!! Thanks Yoshi and Ridley, it was nice that we had some spectators during our contest" he turns to lucario and smirks playfully
"Now pay up!"
L: Lucario: "Y-yeah yeah, hang on..." Still panting a bit, he gets out the money he owes and hands it to the pikachu.
Ridley: "Oh wow, that's more than I expected..."
S: the Pikachu snatches the money and giggles
Pikachu - "Pleasure doing business with you! Teeehee!!"
Yoshi- "Wow that certainly is a lot of money..."
L: Lucario: "Yeah, because I really thought I'd win... Next time, though! THEN I'll beat you, Pikachu!"
S: Pikachu - "Yeah right! We'll see about that!"
the Pikachu playfully dunks lucario underwater
L: Lucario: "Hey- Blbrlbl!" He quickly surfaces again, laughing as he tries to dunk the pikachu as well.
S: but the Pikachu manages to dodge out of the way, and he dunks lucario underwater again! This time keeping him down there for a bit
yoshi giggles at that
L: The lucario struggles under the surface, trying to get back up.
Ridley laughs as he watches the two.
S: "Heh heh... he didn't see that coming!"
the Pikachu keeps him down for a bit longer before he lets him go
yoshi giggles a bit more at the sight of Pikachu having fun
L: The lucario lightly gasps when he surfaces, not having had a good breath. "Alright, come here!" He tries again to dunk the pikachu.
S: the Pikachu easily dodges out of the way
"Your too slow!!" he sticks his tongue out playfully at lucario
Yoshi - "Hehe! Nice sonic reference"
L: Lucario: "Ugh... One of these times, I'll finally get you!"
Ridley: "Keep practicing, you'll be able to beat him at some point."
S: "Yep!"
Pikachu - "Nah nah nah nah!" he dunks lucario underwater one last time
L: The lucario gets away and surfaces again. "Yeah, get 'em while you can, I'll make sure to get just as good at dodging as you are..."
S: "Sure bud, you ain't ever gonna dunk me!"
Yoshi - "Hehehe"
L: Ridley: "Don't be so sure about that..."
Lucario: "Yep, someday I won't be the only one getting dunked!"
S: Pikachu - "Ha ha, very funny!" the Pikachu splashes lucario before he gets out of the pool
yoshi turns to lucario once pikachu's back is turned and whispers
Yoshi - "Quick! Nows your chance!"
L: With a nod and a smirk, the lucario goes over to the edge and yanks the pikachu back into the water, pushing them under! "Haha, there we go!"
Ridley: "Oh, nice!"
S: "You got them!!"
Pikachu - "Blbl!??!" the pikachu was caught off guard completely at that, he makes it back to the surface
"Hey!! Ugh!!!"
L: Lucario: "Told you I'd do it! Bet you didn't think it'd be that soon though, huh?"
Ridley: "Neither did I, I figured you'd be waiting a while!"
S: "Ugh! Your gonna regret doing that!"
the Pikachu then actually leaves the pool
Yoshi - "Hahaha!!!"
L: Lucario: "Haha! Yeah, sure I will!"
Ridley: "You'd best get yourself ready for when that time comes, he might be planning on doing a bit more than dunking now."
S: Pikachu - "You've got that right"
he runs away
Yoshi - "Heh heh, you better keep yourself on your toes lucario!"
L: Lucario: "I'm not scared, I'll be ready for whatever they do."
Ridley: "It shouldn't be too bad at least, I'm sure they know better than to fight you outside of a match."
S: Pikachu- "Oh, it won't be that" the Pikachu giggles mischievously, his voice still heard
Yoshi - "Man, now that was a nice way to relax huh ridley? I'm sure you feel all better now!"
L: Ridley nods. "I do, this was a good time. Watching Lucario and PIkachu definitely helped, as well."
Lucario: "Hey, glad we could cheer you up!"
S: "Hehe, for now tho...that's enough water for me" yoshi gets out of the pool and dries off before putting his shoes back on
L: Ridley: "I think I'm pretty much good now too." He climbs out and dries off as well.
Lucario: "I'm gonna be staying here a little while longer, haven't had much time to relax yet."
S: "Ok then" yoshi heads away from the pool, sitting down on a chair to relax a bit
L: Ridley brings over one of the stronger chairs and sits next to Yoshi in it, knowing a regular chair probably wouldn't hold up under his weight. "I do still wish there were fewer people here, but... I suppose it's not that bad."
S: "Yeah I agree, oh well... let's just enjoy ourselfs"
coming over to get into the pool was bowser and his son Bowser Jr, with Jr being a little nervous to get into the water, but he does eventually go into the shallow end of the pool to splash around
L: Bowser goes in alongside them, giving them a smile. "See? It's not so bad, right?"
S: Jr has got on the most adorable pair of swim goggles ever on his forehead
"Y-y-yeah...I guess it's not that bad, but I'm still scared Papa"
L: Bowser has goggles of his own on his forehead as well. He pats Jr's head a couple times. "Don't worry, I'll be right here with you the whole time. If anything happens, I'll have you lifted out of the water before you know it, okay?"
S: "O-o-ok papa...I trust you..." Jr then nervously starts to swim on the surface, being careful not to go too far so he doesn't end up in deeper waters, he's not looking forward to submerging and hopes his dad forgets about that
yoshi watches from the chair at Bowser and his son, smiling warmly at the father and son bond they share
L: Ridley: "It's always interesting to me how well those two get along... They're considered the villains of their world, but Bowser is still a good father."
Bowser is tall enough that he can't really swim in the shallow end, so he just walks near Jr, keeping track of them.
S: Yoshi - "Yeah I agree, he's a great father to his little son and I honestly think bowser Jr is kind of cute"
Jr keeps swimming around for a while, eventually he stops and floats in place
Jr - "This doesn't feel that bad papa, as long as I'm safe above the water"
L: Bowser: "I'm glad you're feeling better! But, you're probably not going to like what we do next... You need to try out actually diving, instead of just staying on the surface."
S: "W-what?!" Jr's little eyes go wide in fear at what his father just said
"No Papa! I don't wanna do any diving! It's scary down there and you can't breathe!"
Yoshi - "Oh boy... sounds like Jr is scared of going under...poor kid..."
L: Ridley: "Had a feeling he wouldn't like that, with how nervous he was when he first got in."
Bowser: "I know, I don't want to make you do this, but it's for the best. We need to try to cut down on how nervous you get in stages with water, I've noticed it's been distracting you."
S: Jr - "Ugh, yeah your right I guess, everytime I see water in stages, I always end up freaking out and then somebody gets me before I can continue on...but still papa, I don't wanna submerge!"
L: Bowser: "However bad you think it'll be to go down there, I promise it'll be a LOT better than that! Maybe you'll even end up liking it once you get more used to it!"
S: "Liking it?! I don't think so papa! I'm not going underwater! And that's final!"
L: Bowser sighs. "Jr, come on... I'm going to go down there with you once you do, you won't be alone. Just try it at least once, okay?"
S: "Papa I can't! I just wanna swim on the surface! I'm not gonna do it! And you can't make me!"
L: "...We both know I CAN make you, I can just push you under. But, we both know it probably won't be much help either. So, please, don't make me do that..."
S: that makes Jr yelp in fear
"Come on papa don't do that! Ugh! I'm still not doing it! I'm sorry papa! But I just can't!"
it seems Jr is still not gonna submerge and Bowser may have to take this matter into his own hands
L: Bowser sighs again. "Sorry about this... Deep breath." He holds Jr's head and dunks them underwater!
Ridley laughs a bit at the sight of that.
S: Yoshi - "Ooof! Yikes!" yoshi couldn't help but giggle a little at that too
Jr had no time to react, he just barely managed to take a breath before getting dunked under, and 1 second later he surfaces and gasps for breath
Jr - "Papa!!!! Why did you do that?! Are you trying to scare me further?! I didn't even have my goggles on... that was so scary!!"
L: Bowser: "Right, I should've told you to get your goggles on, sorry... But, you really weren't giving me a choice, that was the only way I could get you underwater."
S: "Ugh! I don't want you to dunk me underwater everytime... so as much as I'm gonna hate this..." Jr lowers his goggles over his eyes
"I'm gonna have to try diving for real, but don't expect me to stay down that long! You can't force me to do that either!"
L: "Just a second or so would be fine, since you'd be doing it on your own. I really hope this works, and I don't have to keep pushing you under..."
S: Jr sighs heavily
"Fine papa...I'll try"
Jr then with a lot of hesitation, takes a deep breath, pinches his little nose shut before diving underwater, managing to stay down for about 3 seconds before it became too much and surfaced, gasping heavily for air
"Hah...hah...there, is that satisfactory for you papa?"
L: "That's definitely good, at least! But, I'd like you to try to stay underwater for... Let's say 30 seconds, for now. We'll work on longer times some other day."
S: "30 whole seconds?! Papa I don't think I'm gonna be able to do that! That's too much!"
L: "You can do it, I know you can! As scary as it might be, you won't be in any danger!"
S: "No way papa! I'm not gonna be able to stay underwater for that long! Please don't make me do that!"
L: "It'll be easy, I'm sure you can hold your breath 30 seconds! Just head on down, get it done with, and come right back up, simple as that."
S: "I don't wanna papa! But, if you do it with me then maybe I'll feel better about it"
L: "No problem, I can go under with you. And we could hug during that time as well, I think that'll help too." Bowser puts his goggles over his eyes.
S: "I-i guess we could... l-lets just get this over and done with papa..."
L: "After this, we can just relax for a while if you want. Anyway... 3, 2, 1..." Bowser holds his breath and goes underwater, just barely fully under as he sits down since they're both still in the shallow end.
S: Jr was hesitant again and didn't submerge right away, he turns and notices yoshi and ridley on their chairs, and yoshi smiles at Jr and gives him a thumbs up
Yoshi - "You've got this little buddy! Don't give up so soon!"
L: Ridley hesitates for a moment, but does give some encouragement himself. "Show the water who's boss!"
Bowser waits below the surface, looking up at Jr.
S: "Yeah let them know who's in charge around here!
those comments made Jr smile just a bit, even ridley was giving him encouragement, feeling a little bit better, Jr takes a deep breath, pinches his nose shut again and dives down underwater to join his father, whimpering as he goes down
L: Smiling at Jr, Bowser quickly gives them a hug to make sure they don't end up panicking.
S: Jr wraps his free arm around bowser in a hug back, still whimpering quite a bit but able to tolerate it for now as a lot of bubbles escape him, hoping time goes by quickly
L: More time has already passed than when Jr had gone down on their own, so it's definitely going better this time. Bowser covers Jr's mouth for them, hoping it'll help cut down on how many bubbles they're losing.
S: when Bowser did that it scared Jr and he bolted up to the surface, thankfully managing 30 seconds almost exactly as he gasps very heavily for air
"N-no more! No more!"
L: Bowser surfaces next to them, exhaling. "Don't worry, that was enough time! Good job!"
S: Yoshi - "You did it!!!"
Jr - "Phew... thank goodness papa, I'm never going underwater again!" Jr then gets out of the pool, having enough of the water for today
L: Ridley gives Jr a nod of respect for diving despite being scared.
Bowser: "Yeah, I won't force you to any more, don't worry." He gets out of the water as well, putting his goggles back up.
S: "Thanks papa..." Jr sets his goggles back up too
"I'm getting outta here!"
Jr then runs off
L: Bowser: "Haha, wait up!" He follows them away.
Ridley: "That's one more step toward him being as fearless as his father..."
S: Yoshi - "Totally, but I'm happy for Jr, he's brave... I know he is..."
yoshi yawns as he getting a little sleepy, he closes his eyes to rest, wondering deep down if anyone else is gonna be in the pool, but it was getting a bit late, and there's supposed to be another smash tournament real soon, in fact a little too soon
L: Ridley leans back in his chair, planning on finally getting some proper relaxation in... Before an announcement goes off. "All fighters, please report to the waiting area. A new tournament is about to begin."
Ridley: "Ugh, come ON, so soon!?"
S: yoshi's eyes open at that
Yoshi - "What?! Are you serious?! Come on I was just about to take a nap! That's not fair!'
most of the fighters were complaining about that, but there were two pokemon underwater in the pool who didn't hear the announcement, Mewtwo and Greninja, they were too busy meditating down there to hear that
L: Both have been there for quite some time already, and while Greninja is blushing a little, he still seems perfectly calm, not even letting any bubbles out.
S: Mewtwo seems just as calm as greninja, not even letting a single bubble out even when there's a very small hint of a blush
by now, everyone has been returning to do the smash tournament, but someone is gonna recognize that mewtwo and Greninja are not there, and EVERYONE has to attend this tournament
L: After a little bit, Incineroar comes by the pool. "Greninja would definitely be here, at least... Hello? Greninja, Mewtwo? You need to get to the tournament!"
S: but because incineroar is on the surface, Greninja and mewtwo can't hear him from underwater, not only that, they are still too deep in mediation to really hear anything right now
L: "Ugh, I'm gonna have to go down there, aren't I..." Incineroar looks down into the pool, unsure if he sees the two. "...They'd better be there." With a deep breath, he dives in.
S: and sure enough, he sees mewtwo and Greninja at the bottom of the pool mediating together
L: Despite being underwater, Incineroar yells to get their attention. "Hbley! Geblt yoblur bubltts oublt oblf hblere, thblerebl's abl toblurnblameblnt!"
Greninja gets surprised out of his meditation at that. "O-oh, sorry!"
S: mewtwo however was still relaxed, he didn't even faze...he's still deep in mediation
L: Incineroar: "Hblellblo, psblychblic bobly? Wablke ublp!" He pokes at Mewtwo some.
Greninja: "Mewtwo, you have to wake up, we need to get going!"
S: mewtwo grumbles out something that nobody can understand as he's still in his meditation stage, somebody will have to say something triggering if mewtwo is gonna snap out of this
L: Greninja: "Hang on, I got this... Mewtwo, get that Smash Ball!" He hopes acting like they're in a match will help.
S: mewtwo's eyes finally open at that
Mewtwo - "What?! A Smash Ball?! Where?!?!" he looks around, unaware he's actually underwater right now, with a visible red blush, in fact he thinks he's actually on the smash stage right now, looking at the blue sky
L: Incineroar: "Oblh woblw, Ibl wobluldbln't hblave thblougblht oblf thblat..."
Greninja: "There isn't a Smash Ball, just needed to wake you up. A tournament's about to start, and we all need to be there!"
S: mewtwo glares at Greninja
"Cant believe you tricked me! Ugh...well at least there's another tournament happening, but wait a minute...aren't we already on a smash stage?"
he still doesn't know that he's underwater, he was that deep in mediation, and his blush is fully visible
L: Greninja: "Do you not see his bubbles?" He gestures at Incineroar, who blows a stream of bubbles for a moment.
S: mewtwo notices the bubbles and gets confused for a moment
"Oh....Oh!!! Oh shoot!!!!" mewtwo covers his mouth for a moment as he realized where he was
"Must have been really deep in mediation..."
L: Greninja: "You sure were... Come on, we're gonna be late!" He jumps off the bottom toward the surface, and Incineroar follows, the latter already blushing from his need to breathe.
S: mewtwo quickly jumps off the bottom and swims his way back up, once they all get back to the surface mewtwo gasps a bit for breath and gets out, already floating his way over to the tournament
"Come on guys!"
L: Incineroar gasps as well, while Greninja just exhales, and they both follow Mewtwo.
Incineroar: "Right behind you!"
Greninja: "Hope we're not too late!"
S: just in time they manage to make it to the tournament, and after a nice day at the pool, all the fighters were ready to go as the tournament is gonna begin! Good luck everyone!
