"Daddy daddy!" Jin said, jumping on his parents' bed.
"Oh no" moaned TJ.
Sydney quickly rose, catching the young chevrotain in his arms.
"Hey champ, what's this all about?"
"RJ and Jane say it's father's day" Jin answerred, "They say it's stupid but I don't believe them."
"And you shouldn't" Sydney flexed, "Your dads are mighty impressive and deserve a day to be pampered over."
"Okay daddy."
TJ yawned and rose up, taking Jin in his arms, calming the young ungulate down.
"Jin, we'll be back with you in a moment, just give us a moment, please?"
"Okay daddy" Jin said, and left the room.
TJ sighed, and picked his phone, leaving a message because it was still early in the morning:
"Hi dad, I'll call you later but know that I love and cherish you."
"Aw, if it wasn't a text message I might even cry" said Sydney, his sarcasm hiding a bit of sadness.
TJ picked up on it and kissed him in the lips.
"I'm sorry. I hope memories of him don't soil this for you."
"Are you kiddin'? Fuck my pa. My real family is you and the three kids that need a stern talking about the importance of this day."
"Just don't be to harsh on them" TJ said, snuggling against Sydney.
Sydney responded by kissing him gently in between his husband's massive ears, then gently got out of bed and wore some trousers before leaving the room.
"Someone said Father's Day is 'stupid', if I recall correctly?"
"Jin!" RJ's voice came from the hall.
"Well, it is" Jane said, "It's another pointless capitalistic scheme."
"Well, this capitalistic scheme is going to fill you with kisses!"
Before they could protest TJ heard them being picked up and Jin laughing, before hearing Sydney kiss their children, with some fake "ughs" and "gross dad!".
His phone picked up, and he saw the message.
"Love you too, sport."
