Background/History

Deep within the mist-veiled reaches of Wyveria, a land forgotten by time and untouched by the outside world, dwells Quilala, a Seikret of Wyverian origins. She is a being of science, bound by necessity to the heart of Wyveria, tethered to the great slumbering force known as the Wylk.

For over 130 years, Quilala has existed in this hidden realm, watching the passage of time like a dream that never ends. She was not born in the traditional sense—she simply awoke one day, from her pod, her existence tied to the lifeblood of Wyveria itself.

Yet for all its wonder, Wyveria has always been a prison to her. The barrier that holds its borders tight is not just physical—it is something woven into her very essence, a force that forbids her from stepping beyond the lands she calls home. She has spent a century peering at the world beyond Wyveria, longing to feel the rush of foreign winds and to witness what lay beyond the endless mountains. She believed escape to be impossible—until the hunter arrived.

The world trembled when Zoh Shia awoke. A cataclysmic force, a calamity spoken of only in hushed, terrified whispers. It was a monster of endless hunger and blackened storms, its very breath turning the sky red, its steps causing the mountains to bleed molten fire. It threatened not just Wyveria, but all that lay beyond it.

The hunter who arrived was unlike any being Quilala had ever seen. They were fearless, their blade burning with purpose, their presence a force that defied fate itself. Where others fell before Zoh Shia’s might, this hunter stood firm, unwavering. They fought not just with skill, but with will—and when the dust settled, when the world held its breath, Zoh Shia fell. Quite literally, pinning the hunter to the ground. As the bewildered hunter lay under Zoh Shia, it's white blood trickled down bathing the hunter in it's rich wylk soaked essence.

The hunter pushed and tugged but his armor made it impossible for him to free himself, Quilala watched as the hunter lay there cursing his predicament. She watched as he took out a rod of metal and bite down on it then he took out a knife and raised it high - then Quilala intervened. At first the hunter pointed the knife he had intended to use on himself at her but after a moment of realizing she was a Guardian, he knew she had no intention of eating him - as Guardian's have no need to eat.

She walked up to the man and with all her strength she was finally able to make the dragon budge enough for him to slide out his leg. When she first freed the hunter from beneath the fallen dragon, she had expected gratitude, perhaps even relief. What she had not expected was the sudden, overwhelming rush of the Wylk’s scent, thick and irresistible, rolling off him in waves like a banquet she had been starving for. It was unlike anything she had ever encountered before. The raw energy in his body wasn’t just potent—it was pure, undiluted, something she had never imagined could exist inside a mortal being.

Her instincts overrode her decorum. Before she could stop herself, her tongue had darted out, seeking, tasting, drinking in the very essence that clung to his skin like sweat after battle. It was an intoxication beyond comprehension. The Wylk had always been a force she was bound to, something she drew from in whispers and flickers. But this? This was different. This was alive. It pulsed and burned within him, surging through his veins like a second heart.

She had tried to apologize, stammering as she fought against the hunger clawing at her. But her body knew what it wanted. What it needed.
