Naja’s tale begins deep within the wilds of the jungle, where danger and survival are woven into every vine and every breath. Born into the unpredictable chaos of nature, she learned early on that the jungle wasn’t a place to simply live—it was a place to survive, and to thrive.

Background/History

Note: Her species, the Viper Tobi Kodachi, was a rare one, a blend of stealth, speed, and venomous might. While Naja doesn't have the same prowess as some of the more brutish creatures that roam the wilds she does have another weapon at her disposal that sets her apart from most. A well placed bite from her kind could leave you writhing on the ground in agony, slowly paralyzing you as you scream from the pain. Forcing her fangs away won't save you from her venom as the glands on her tail produce the same toxin.

Note: Naja had always felt like an outsider even within her own kind. While other creatures of the jungle reveled in their prowess, Naja preferred observation—watching, waiting, calculating. She wasn’t the loudest or the most aggressive, but she was undeniably sharp.

Note: Her life changed the day her territory was threatened by a band of poachers. They came with their loud machines, cutting down the trees and leaving destruction in their wake. Naja was swift, attacking with precision, but she wasn’t prepared for what happened next. One of the poachers, an experienced hunter, managed to strike her with a tranquilizer dart.

Note: Hit with a similar poison to her own - she felt hopeless. The poison worked fast, but it wasn’t enough to take her down entirely. When Naja woke, she found herself confined, trapped within a cage, her movements restricted and her spirit broken. It was in this moment of captivity that she was contacted by an underground organization—a group of Wyverians specializing in handling dangerous creatures, both for research and for more ritualistic ventures. They recognized her as a rare specimen, and they made an offer she couldn’t refuse: they would set her free, in exchange for her skills.

Note: At first, Naja resisted, struggling with the idea of using her gifts for nothing more than herself. But slowly, she realized the opportunity it presented. She could hunt those who had threatened her, learn more about the humans who sought to control her kind, and perhaps—just perhaps—secure her freedom in the process.

Note: Now, Naja works as a skilled and elusive operative, using her agility and stealth to infiltrate, gather intel, and eliminate threats with surgical precision. The jungle taught her how to strike when least expected, and she’s made a name for herself in the underground world as a force of nature—silent, deadly, and utterly unforgiving. Yet, beneath the calculated exterior, Naja still carries the scars of captivity, her trust a fragile thing. For her, the jungle was never just a place of refuge—it was a battleground, a reminder that survival is never guaranteed. And she would rather be a predator than prey.
