Background/History

Note: Doballa’s reputation is one of unpredictability and terror. Not because she relentlessly hunts those who trespass into her domain, but because she does not. Unlike others of her kind, who lash out when provoked, she watches, studies, waits. It is this eerie patience that unsettles even the most seasoned hunters. Many who have entered her territory—whether beast or human—have felt the weight of unseen eyes upon them, the sensation of being judged by something far beyond their understanding.

Note: Born with a particularly strong Frenzy Virus, Doballa’s presence alone is enough to tip the balance of nature within her domain. The monsters that live within her reach grow more aggressive, more desperate, their minds clouded by the sickness she unknowingly spreads. It is said that even apex predators such as Rathalos and Deviljho tread carefully near her hunting grounds, wary of the silent specter that lurks in the darkness.

Note: While territorial by nature, Doballa does not kill needlessly. She has an innate curiosity—about the creatures that wander into her lands, about the foolish hunters who dare to challenge fate, about the shifting balance of life and death. She has watched countless struggles unfold beneath her unseen gaze, has seen the strong triumph and the weak perish. Perhaps, to her, this is nothing more than a game, a cruel play in which she is both audience and arbiter.

Note: Yet, when the silence of her domain is broken too often, or when something disturbs her amusement, Doballa reminds the world why she is feared. She does not strike with the reckless fury of a beast, but with the calculated devastation of an executioner. The darkness itself becomes her weapon—shrouding her in an impenetrable abyss, striking without warning, leaving only devastation in her wake. Those who survive an encounter with her rarely speak of it, for to do so would mean reliving the horror of facing something they never truly saw, but always felt.

Note: Doballa remains a mystery, a predator that hunts with patience rather than hunger, a monster that does not need to prove its power—because she already knows none can rival it.
