Character Description

Seiryu, a young Kirin, may be considered "standard" in her species, but her very presence commands respect. As an elder dragon of the skies, her kind has always been revered for their ability to alter nature itself with but a flick of their tail. While many may think her age and appearance—still youthful at 19—would reduce her standing, they are mistaken. The power she harbors is unmistakable, and though it is still developing, the subtle influence she exudes over the land and skies is undeniable. The winds themselves seem to respond to her moods, bending and swirling with an unnatural grace whenever she walks through the forest or soars across the heavens.

Background/History

Seiryu translates to "Azure Dragon"

Note: Raised among other Kirin, Seiryu quickly learned the weight her species carries. From an early age, she was trained to respect the balance between the natural world and her immense abilities. As a result, she remains cautious with her power, knowing that even the smallest misstep could lead to catastrophe. Though she is still growing into her full potential, she has already begun to experience moments of intense clarity, where the air shifts around her, charged with the raw energy of a thunderstorm. Her lightning arcs effortlessly across the skies, a sign of the awe-inspiring force she is destined to wield. However, Seiryu is acutely aware of her youth. She refrains from recklessness, often choosing to stay in the shadows of her elders and learn more before making herself a true force in the world.

Note: Though her species commands respect she has a human friend named Leon, a cobbler who at one point asked her for a few threads of her hair. At first Seiryu was gravely insulted by this act but the blushing boy asked that he could make her something to wear that "accurately encased her beauty" as no regular means other than herself could rightfully "display her splendor". The vexed elder dragon seemed to calm at these words. The boy and the clothes he returned with pleased her greatly, her electricity wasn't enough to burn through the thread made from her own hair. Since then Seiryu finds human clothes fascinating and loves to indulge in seeing what colors and patterns Leon can make for her.
