Character Description

Hazik, or HAZ-1K as he was officially designated by the Brotherhood of Steel, is among the most feared of the Deathclaw roaming the wasteland. Although slightly smaller than Meemaw, Hazik is a force to be respected. Even Brotherhood of Steel Veterans know to steer clear of the territory of this lethal burrower. Hazik is one of the most territorial Deathclaw in the wasteland, often exploding out of the ground like a jumping spider and shredding intruders before they have a chance to understand they're under attack. He has amassed quite a collection of Brotherhood of Steel Holotags (he finds their dim glow mesmerizing).

Note: Hazik is coated in blast resistant scales and is an intelligent hunter, often figuring out the most efficient way of taking his prey (or unlucky intruder) head on. He has an excellent sense of smell and can often smell an intruder before they ever see him coming.

Note: The harness around his neck implies he was almost captured once. Almost...

Background/History

BoS Log FR1084: "The large Deathclaw seen among the group with the white mane gives me the creeps. I swear as we were observing the movements of the herd it was watching me, studying what I was doing. But through my binoculars I must have been 2-3 miles away from the abomination. I know it sounds ridiculous but when I attempted to sketch it's face it disappeared. I had looked down to draw it's frame and when I looked back up it was just...gone!"

BoS Log FR1086: "As we were making our way back to camp in the vertibird I swear I saw it again, the exact same Deathclaw a mile away on top of a one of the destroyed buildings watching us...Studying Us!. How it had gotten there I have no idea, it had somehow spanned a mile of terrain without our sensors picking it up or seeing it move to that position. We know it's not of the chameleon variety so we were almost going to rule it as a look-alike but the scarring is exactly the same as what I had sketched previously. We have come to the conclusion that it must have dug it's way to the new position to avoid our radar and binoculars. The beast must have some understanding of how we operate, a truly terrifying abomination. I am requesting immediate extermination of what I am designating HAZ-1K, please dispatch a knight squad to eliminate this unclean monstrosity before it becomes a problem."

BoS Log A1192: "Hear me all members of the Brotherhood, the area south of SatCom Array NW-05a and east from SatCom Array NW-07c are off limits to all personnel traveling on land. All travel between these points must be made on vertibird or logistics must be adjusted to avoid this section of territory, the area is home to a HAZ threat that is deemed casualty-deficient to our eradication efforts for the time being. Elders are convening to address this threat and when it will be dealt with, until that time all eradication efforts in this area have been put on immediate lockdown. That is all. Ad Victorium!"
