Day 21 of CuteGirlTober2024 turned fashion study - Magical Girl
I was super excited for this prompt! Magical girls are fun! I even have a magical character themed OC now. 😊
So magical girls can vary a bit. But in general they are young girls (usually with themes about "coming of age") fighting evil. There's themes of femininity mixed with youthfulness. While not always, typically theirs ribbons and puffy A-line dresses and soft girly colors.
The magic of a magical girl can also vary quite a bit. Some series have had themes based on: color, elements, animals, fruit, etc or some combination of the two.
Basically, think a bit of power rangers if marketed towards girls instead of boys.
I went with a rainbow theme for this one. I thought it would be unique and colorful. Maybe a bit of Rainbow Brite inspired. (Is Rainbow Brite a magical girl?) I imagine her outfit is soft blues and whites like clouds. With rainbow ribbons and bows. Gave her a fluffy afro to fit the cloud motif.
And made her a cute scottish fold kitten because they are cute, haha.
