Whenever I feel like it, I edit the texture of existing 3D models to make them wear different colors and styles of panties.  Here's some that I created from before.  Yes, there's a lot of Cream panties I made.  Still, there's one of her mother, Vanilla, as well as Amy.  There's more characters that I done, like Cosmo and Marine.  Enjoy if you want . . .

Do you plan to show us Cosmo's and Marine's?

If it feels that it is something a lot of people want to see, then yes.  But how many are interested in that?
ElMatto

Not a Cosmo fan, but would like to see Marine. :D

Lots of people, apparently.

If that's true, then why I don't find many views and many favorites?

How would you know?  I barely have 100 views and never break more than 10 favorites.  Why would you think that's going to happen?

Because I don't think enough people know about you yet.

Now that's more like it, though I think a full view of the 3D model would be called for.

Also, what resolutions are the textures? They look very pixelated. If this is Max, I can't remember where it is, but there's a setting so it renders the texture at its proper resolution and doesn't look like an N64 texture.
SamBacon
11 years, 10 months ago
The older ones are small . . . actually, it was part of the original "body" texture.  Therefore, they're really small, like almost 100x100 (keep in mind that the original texture is 512x512).  Later on, I decided that I just created a new UV map that is exclusively for panties, as well as create it on 2048x2048 resolution.  The Cream panties on page 4 is one of the newer textures.  I can make more . . . still . . .

I feel as if I'm being treated like a child, again.  Doubts will continue on . . . maybe I'm not meant for art at all . . . maybe what I'm good for is to be dead . . . so be it.  I have no purpose to live, and therefore, I must die.  Really, what reason do I have to live forward?  I have zero talent, no one wants to hire me, I have no family, and I'm practically abandon by society.  There's nothing that I have that's worth living.

Learn from my perspective.  I didn't get born yesterday and just happen to made it just now.  I done it for maybe a year, but I have knowledge to use 3D programs since high school back in 2001, and college in 2006.  I can practically teach anyone about using 3D tools.  Of course I use Blender, but I did use 3D Studio Max back in college.

It seems common for people to judge a book by the covers.  Assumption will be their demise if it continues.  It's not an epic quest for belief.  Just believe!  Even believe in something as unknown as me!  I'm still unknown.  Even I don't know who I am.  I was someone, but now, I'm no one.  I don't even cast my own reflection.

I don't want to believe; I want to know, to quote Carl Sagan. That's why I tried to get you into the sketch group.

It's difficult to continue doing whatever project if you're dependent on the recognition. At this point, it's not even about how many years of experience either of us have. If recognition takes precedent over creativity or imagination, you're going at it completely wrong, and that business model will give you depression by default.

When I started off on the internet back in 2007, I wanted to be well known for writing these awesome Lemons like this one author I discovered. The problem was I didn't have the inspiration like I do now, and I had to ask people for ideas. One guy responded, and through him I came up with ideas for a small list of stories that would take 3 years to complete, alongside other stories I made inspired by RPs I did with people. Eventually I stopped prioritizing the responses I might or did get in my work, and I was more focused on completing my next piece. That is where I felt at my best, when the writing (because that's what I mainly did back then, before I started taking my art more seriously) came naturally. Before I knew it, I had over 6 full-sized novels worth of content written, not counting the work that never gets to see the light of day, and now I just have a special department in my brain that just thinks about writing constantly, and cataloging new ideas to explore. Whatever recognition I get from the odd crowd out there that doesn't speak English (which begs the question what the fuck are they reading) is an added bonus.

That's really what this boils down to. Ignoring the part where you seek the attention and letting the artist inside you do his own thing. The completion of your next piece is his objective and reward in itself. Recognition is just icing on the cake. Aval0n wasn't always famous as he was. Before Babysitting Cream, he was mainly just another shlub on the internet that drew a bunch of Cream humping pictures. I've seen most of his gargantuan collection of drawings that will never see the light of day. He doesn't draw for the recognition he gets; it helps, but that's not the sole reason.

If you try to fuel your gallery through solely recognition, you're going to hurt yourself. That's how you should look at it. Inspiration and self improvement is a first; everything else is icing on the cake. And don't feel like any critique is a character attack. You have to be willing to be able to throw yourself out there; if one negative comment will send you into a depression spiral, then you shouldn't be posting stuff to begin with.

. . .

. . . .

. . . . . It's like you don't know me.  I'm not trying to offend your help, but you have to come to realize my side of the story.  First off, I started my life in the Internet in 2004.  It's the year I started my online college for Game Design and Development.  It is also a time I used to have a different life.  Back then, I was a member of Newgrounds.  I thought I get the respect I deserve and become part of the peers of talented artists, animators, and game makers.  This was a goal of mine at the age of six, so back then, it was a 13-year commitment.  Also back then, I focus more in creative than recognize.  All I want is to post whatever I made.  Creativity is what I do best.  However most of the members are jerks.  They claim that I don't have any talent nor I have what it takes to be in the same class as them.  It wasn't until two years later that I decided to never go back to that cursed site.  I also graduated from college and got an Associate's degree.  Funny, because the student in that online college are nicer and respects me.  I'm confused on what is reality.

In 2006, I went to an on-campus college for my Bachelor's degree.  The students there was very respectful and even take consideration of my knowledge and abilities.  Actually, the staff was impressed because I have a 3.64 GPA from the previous college.  Though I learn more, I was able to display whatever I learn from before.  Even the students who are in the a year higher than me are impressed.  There's one time I done a humorous version of a project (not a game project), and everyone did laugh, and one student did left out of the room and laughed really hard.  I thought I have what it takes to use my creativity to entertain.  I thought I have my start.  Unfortunately, the Internet doesn't agree with that.  Deviantart, Sheezyart, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and even Furaffinity.  Those sites doesn't believe in the talent I possess.  There is one site that seems to treat me with respect, and that's YouTube.  I made a lot of friends . . . but that's due to the help of Cream.  That's another story.  I'm still confuse.  Who should I believe?

In 2008, I graduated and got my Bachelor's degree.  I thought that finally I can be in a game company.  The college mentions that they can help me locate a company for me to be in.  However, they never done that.  In fact, no one, not even the ones who are working on job recruitment can help me.  I feel as if I was abandoned . . . not even posting my resume on Gamasutra or GameJobs can help me.  It's as if no one believes that I have what it takes to make games for a living.  The Internet was right . . . I have no talent . . .

If I can't have a job, then I can't make a living.  The only source of money that I can find is from Social Security, considering that I'm autistic.  Even when I'm intelligent and full of creativity, I still have that mental illness.  I try hard and hard for some company to hire me, but I wasn't able to be hired.  I even try to be hired at a "normal" job, but it's the same result.  It was 2008 and so one . . . the government seems to refuse in increasing employment.  It makes it difficult for me to even get hired.  I have the need to make a living, because that's what graduates do!

I can't make a living and stop depending on SSA to give me money.  In my major, the only thing I can do are two things: commissions and starting my own company.  However, there is one problem among these two.  I have to be able to advertise myself.  I live on creativity alone so far, but now, I'm desperate and decided that recognition is what I need to make a living.  If I can't grab attention to a lot of people, then I can't make a living.  No one will be willing to buy anything I made.  No one is going to hire me for art commissions.

Now do you understand?  I'm abandon from ever make a living.  I'm a good person, with no criminal records.  I always have been . . . but it doesn't help.  I'm like a dog gets beat up and shot in the face and basically thrown out of the house, and I did nothing wrong.  It's as if no one wants for me to be successful in life.  While the rest has a job and can make their own money, I lack that ability.  That's why I choose recognition over creative.  I need people to help me pay for my efforts.  It's the only choice.  Unless the government finally get their head off of their ass and take unemployment extremely seriously, I am force to rely selling my projects to make a living . . . that is if I can without an audience.  It's impossible . . . if I can't advertise, I'm better off dead.  I have nothing to live forward to.  Talent and creativity alone won't pay the bills . . . I doubt you can help, because all you would ever do is judge my post harshly and never realize the perspective I am trying to share to you.  No one will ever help me . . .

I do understand; that's why I considered extending an olive branch in the first place.

I should mention that I went to college as well for my Bachelor's Degree in Game Art and Design. Granted, it was Westwood, which is a piece of shit college, and yeah, they pretty much cut off ties with us as well, but I still managed to learn a lot about how the gaming industry works. It is very hard to get in the door in the industry, and as I have reiterated many times, it's extremely competitive. I kept sending out applications for QA positions, and I nearly got in once when I followed a specific lead.  Yes, Congress is a bastard for trying to repeal Obamacare 30+ times instead of proposing a single jobs bill, but that's another story entirely.

Again as I've stated before, no business will act on faith or belief, but knowledge. That in a nutshell is what portfolios are all about, showing what you can do and have done. You also have to have something more substantive than just panty shots of Cream. This competitiveness also applies to commissions here on Inkbunny or anywhere else. The stuff you throw into your gallery is a testament to what you can do, and it doesn't help you if you have just a handful of stuff posted Xteen months ago. Even though Nicobay will commission me for writing, he said he won't do drawing yet because he can get a bigger bang for his buck from another artist. But I do want to get better, and I am, if very slowly because I'm so wrapped up in writing most of the time.

I am part of an art group on Facebook composed of former classmates and at least one teacher from my college. They'll reiterate the same thing I told you, but they won't be as gentle about it, especially that specific teacher. I learned from my time in college it was much easier to do art as a group, and that's why I wanted to throw a sketch group together outside of the Facebook group.

I should mention that as much as I can critique another artist, I hold myself to a higher standard than I would of others. I know I can get better, so I expect myself to get better. You should expect the same from yourself.

Back on my original point: are you in or not?
SamBacon

*sigh*  What I never deserve to have is more lectures or teachings.  I learn what I have from college as well as self-taught.  I basically can teach anyone about it.  Really, I never want to be treated like some newbie who got started.  Seriously if I have to, I'll create a professionally done tutorial on just about everything I experienced, and have done that before long ago.

If this group will respect that and treats me like I'm one of them, then perhaps I'll join . . . but I doubt that will happen.  If they can't find the real me and assumes me, I'll be extremely aggressive and practically lectures a lot about my experience and such.  If I'm a master of, I'm a master of counter-arguments back in college.  I'll post anything I found wrong with, and my arguments are just as mean and insightful as your group's critique.  So I request is for the group to not treat me like some newbie . . . BECAUSE I HAVE 20+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BEHIND ME!!

Oh, and though I post intelligently, I don't hesitate to curse a lot if I'm angry.

I was originally proposing my own group on Skype or something, separate from the Facebook group. One, because they don't deal in rule 34 stuff, and two, I don't think you'll really sit well with them. We're all out to better ourselves and provide helpful information to each other, but you treat any advice like it's undermining your experience, whatever it may be.

Really, what we do in the art group amounts to little more than "LOOK AT THIS COOL NEW SHIT I DID!" and then people might or might not respond to it; we leave whatever's going on in our personal lives at the door. I know them in real life; they aren't hostile, but if you go in there throwing your weight around they will be, and I don't want to be the one responsible for inviting that.

You should also know that part of being an artist means you might want to humble yourself and listen to what another artist has to say (unless they're being a douchebag). I sat in with AvalonX on a tutorial about how he drew his cub anatomy. I'm not going to follow his advice religiously, but I did learn a few useful things. The art group doesn't give hands-on tutorials, but they will give their two cents on how to make your piece better. That's just what we do as artists.

Much like on how chefs share their techniques and recipes with each other, your group shares techniques with each other.  Is that how it works?

If it treats me like I do have tons of experience, perhaps I'll join.  It's on Skype?  I don't visit too often there, but I can be there.  BTW, I can make safe artworks, since it is what I use to do back then when I didn't worry about making a living.

I just wanted to create a Skype group separate from the art group, the same way I separate Lost from.... my real identity. It'd be for any art-related stuff, including Rule 34.

I've seen Shion's work, but not enough of it....

honestly, this is the first time I've seen apple print panties before.  as far as food is conderned I've seen strawberry print, cherry print, orange print, lemon print, watermellon print, harvet basket print, and even panties that look like a slice of pepperoni pizza, but this apple one is new.  if you do apples in the future, green apples plz
SamBacon
11 years, 10 months ago
True.  There's my art . . . and there's another from a Japanese friend of mine.  He shares the same fetish as me: cute, rounded panties.  What do you think of it?  If you want, I'll make more of Shion.

Oh wow!  That's a lot of printed panties you seen.  I never seen the pizza panties one, but would love to see one.

Still, I have seen other food-related prints as well.  There is the pineapple and the pomegranate.  There should be more prints like that.

You want green apples?  Normally, Shion wears red ones.  Maybe I can make green apple prints for Cream's.  Would you like to see that?
ruink
11 years, 10 months ago
those ones on Shion are nice.  personally, Cream in green apple print panties would be rather cute.  panties are an interesting custom, perhaps I'll do that glyphed panty thing I was contemplating about.  couldn't see the pineapple or pomegranite ones as those gave me the 403...  but yes, thanks for sharing the first installment of "Cream's Panty Catalogue" and who knows, the panty icon used for the first pic may actually be a pair Cream will wear =3
SamBacon
11 years, 10 months ago
It's probably deleted.  Here's another link.

If you do decide to create printed panties, I'll wait to see it.  I love seeing those, you know.

Really?  Perhaps I'll make more patterns or prints for Cream if that's something anyone wants to see.  Maybe I'm good at it . . . unlike all of the others that I'm suppose to be good at . . . sorry, I'm just depress . . . no one considers me a professional, even though I have 20 years of experience behind me . . . no one knows the truth, no one will know.  It's like they refuse to do so . . . but you seem to believe that I am a pro.  Only a few people knows the truth, the real me.  The majority got their heads in the clouds.  If only they wake up from the dream created by the well-known . . .
ruink
11 years, 10 months ago
you always seem depressed, it reminds me of that one gal pal Willa from the cartoon Willa's Wild Life has.

those are rather nice panties, yup.  I think you just need proper promoting and a clean portfolio.  but yeah, the catalogue thing is more likely going to be something the people like.  I mean, it has my vote.  make a journal about it and see what the other people think
SamBacon
11 years, 10 months ago
I'm known for creativity . . . and that's it.  I'm no good at advertisement, and yet, that's what I need.  How is it so easy for others and difficult for me?  Maybe I'm never meant to be successful.  It's not like I get instant fame and fortune by posting videos on YouTube, like some well-known people . . .

Do you think I should post a journal?  For the majority, they would expect to see "professional" art that features sex, sexual organs, tight panties, something that isn't going to be cute panties.  What makes you believe I will find a majority of people who likes cute panties, especially if it is Cream's?
ruink
11 years, 10 months ago
lots of people like Cream the rabbit, just search for Cream here and you'll see what I mean.  and why not post a journal about the catalogue, it won't hurt you.  as far as getting promotes, feel free to ask people

You're sitting on an art site, created mostly for looking at animals naked so you can have something to get off to. Not only that but you're looking at a badly drawn 'panty shot' of a character off a tv show made for children and you're calling me a loser? That's rich buddy, why don't you go ask you boyfriend to draw you some more children animal porn :)

Listen to what you just said and think it wisely. You did not make this site, so how would you know about such smut if you didn't look them up on purpose? Hell, not all of your favorites are any more tame then any pantyshot.

Also, 3D art isn't something easy to muster, so I'd be careful if I were you about saying who's art sucks. For all I care you just did horrid stick figures back then. But what I'm calling you loser for is that you HERE, some site of "animal smut" just for you to tell someone to end himself like if you have any right to do so. You don't find that a bit bad on your end? :/
