I really really REALLY love this, not only because it is absolutely gorgeous, but also because it reminds me a LOT of one of my own characters. A character that happens to be one of my favorite personal creations. There are of course differences (plus this is a much better drawing than I could ever do) but still this is just beautiful!

I forget the name of the reference I was given but yeah it's one of those great Chinese legends of SonGokuu that's been rehashed a thousand times in different media. x3 I'm not surprised you have a similar character as there are soooo many based off that legend. DragonBall and all it's sequels, Saikyuki, what was that game that came out a couple years ago ... Enslaved or en...something, Forbidden kingdom the list goes on. x3

This is true. Though Son Goku is the Japanese name, the Chinese name is Sun Wukong. Still I like the art style of this very much. My personal character only became a reference to that legend after I created her though, I just wanted a monkey character and the story she is for comes from a world of mixed mythology so I just went ahead and made modifications to fit the Journey West.

Ever since seeing Monkey Magic, I've seen two renditions so far. Possibly three if you count it. Sun Wukong, SonSon from Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Goku from Dragonball. This will be the fourth. Awesome as always. =^_^=
