BW is working on building himself some pretty nifty conbadges with a sandwich of laser-eteched acrylic lit by LEDs. The yoshi is something he whipped up in the lab just a bit ago, and now I set him up with a little pixel art of his character he'll be etching tomorrow.

A pretty rad idea for a conbadge, I think! It looks really nifty in person, the pictures don't do it much justice. I definitely want to get one made for myself.

Well considering they can offer the same stuff for greeting cards, I can't imagine it'd be all that expensive to produce.

This is fucking nuts! BUT it would be more effective to use surface-mound LEDs rather than the full sized ones since they're a lot smaller but can be just as bright!
