It was a fine summer day. Sonic was outside enjoying the sun.

Sonic: Wow. It's been one year since I was arrested by Amy and 5 weeks later we married.

Just then, Tails came in.

Tails: Hey Sonic did you know that there is a week sailing trip?

Sonic: No. Is it good?

Tails: If you don't mind water.

Sonic: I don't know. I'll ask Amy if she wants to come too.

Tails: Okay. Cream and I are going, too.

Sonic: Well, I'll go see Amy.

Sonic went inside.

Sonic: Hey Amy want to go on a sailing trip?

Amy: Yes I would. It would be a great family vacation. :aww:

Sonic: Okay. Great. Tails and Cream are coming too.

Amy: That's great.

Tails then came in.

Tails: Also Knuckles, Julie-Su, Shadow, Rouge, Silver, Blaze, Vector, Mighty, Espio, Ray and Charmy

Sonic: Wow. We're going on a trip with our friends?

Tails: We sure are.

Sonic: When is this?

Tails looked at his invitation.

Tails: We're going next week.

Sonic: Okay.

One week later at Ray's house.

Mighty: Hey Ray, are you ready for our sailing trip?

Ray: I sure am.

Mighty: Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go.

Ray: Alright.

So the two friends went on their way. Later on the boat, everyone was on board.

Marine: Hey everyone welcome to this week-long sailing trip. I am Marine, your caption.

Sonic then noticed Ray wasn't paying much attention.

Sonic: Ray? Ray? RAY!

Ray: Oh sorry. I guess I lost my mind.

Ray was gazing at Marine cause he liked the way she was dressed. She was wearing red heels, leg-long socks, some black shorts, a green midriff shirt, and a captain's coat. Later on, everyone got into their rooms. Sonic, Amy, and Sonic Jr got room 101, Tails and Cream went to room 102, Knuckles and Julie-Su got room 103, Shadow, Rouge, Silver, and Blaze went to room 104, Vector, Mighty, Espio, Charmy, and Ray got room 105. Luckily for Ray room 105 was next door to the captain's room.

Ray's thoughts: Maybe I can date with Marine.

In room 101...

Amy: What are you thinking, Sonic?

Sonic: I've noticed Ray was distracted.

Amy: Why?

Sonic: I don't know.

Amy: Well anyway let's get Sonic Jr's bed ready.

Sonic: Okay.

And Sonic got up to help Jr to bed. Later that night, Ray went to the door that led to the captain's room hoping he could spend time with Marine. But unfortunately, the door was locked.

Ray: Oh well. Maybe I can see her tomorrow.

And Ray went back to bed.

The next morning, Ray woke up and walked outside his room.

Ray: Okay. I'm going to try again.

Mighty: Ray, What are you doing?

Ray: Um? Breakfast?

Mighty: Might as well go too.

Ray's thoughts: Darn.

Mighty and Ray went to the eating deck. Everyone was there for breakfast. After Ray had breakfast, he decided to try again.

Ray's thoughts: Maybe now I can see Marine.

And he walked off.

Mighty: Ray, where're you going?

Ray: I um...I'm going to look out in the sea.

So Ray went out and went to the captain's room. This time he knocked on the door. He waited and waited. Then, Marine came.

Marine: Ray? What are you doing?

Ray: Oh nothing. I was just wondering if, I could visit with you.

Marine: Well. Um. This really is a room for me and me alone. Visitors don't come into the captain's room.

Ray: Please?

Marine: Well. I guess you could come in.

Ray: Thanks.

So Marine let Ray come in.

Marine: So Ray, Why did you ask to come here?

Ray: Well, I just thought we could spend the day together.

Marine: Really?

Ray: Yeah.

Marine: Why?

Ray: Well, I think you look beautiful in your outfit. I never saw anything like it before.

Marine: Aw. Thanks, Ray.

Ray: So, can we date later?

Marine: But I need to stay here 'cause I'm the captain.

Ray: Why not date here?

Marine: I guess that could work.

Ray: Great. We'll have dinner here, tonight.

Marine: OK.

And Ray left. Later, Ray was elsewhere on board the ship.

Mighty: What are you doing Ray?

Ray: Just thinking.

Mighty: Thinking about what?

Ray: Marine.

Mighty: Marine?

Ray: We're going to have a date in her captain's room later.

Mighty: You are?

Ray: Sure are.

Mighty: What about spending time with your best friend?

Ray: Oh. We could do that, too.

Mighty: OK. Why don't we go play some games?

Ray: OK.

So they went into the game room on the ship and they played pool. Hours had gone by and they were halfway through their game when Ray looked at his watch.

Ray: Oh dear. It's time for me to meet Marine. I'll see you later, Mighty.

And Ray left, leaving Mighty angry that Ray left in the middle of their game. Ray went back to Marine's captain room. Marine was getting things ready.

Ray: Hey Marine.

Marine: Hey Ray.

Ray: Are you ready for dinner?

Marine: Sure am. I got everything ready.

Ray: Great. :D

So they had their dinner.

Ray: Hey Marine.

Marine: Yeah.

Ray: You're the perfect girl for me.

Marine: Know what? I think you're perfect for me too. Anyway, it's time to go to bed now, so you better go back to your room.

Ray: Okay. See you tomorrow, Marine.

Marine: Good night, Ray.

So Ray went back to his room.

The next day, the only thing Ray could do was again go see Marine. He went to Marine's captain's room.

Marine: Ray what are you doing?

Ray: All I want to do for today is be with you.

Marine: Okay. You can be my Co-Captain.

Ray: Great.

So Ray got to be Marine's Co-caption.

Ray: This is so great to be driving the ship, too. Thanks for letting me do this, Marine.

Marine: You're very welcome, Ray.

Meanwhile.

Vector: Hey Mighty, Where's Ray?

Mighty: Being with his girlfriend again.

Then Charmy came in.

Charmy: Actually he's being co-captain.

Mighty: He and I were playing a game of pool last night and he left in the middle of it.

Vector: That sounds rude.

Espio: It certainly was.

Mighty: But, if he wants to spend some time with his fellow captain, I guess I won't get in the way.

Just then, Sonic then came in.

Sonic: Where's Ray?

Mighty: With Marine.

Sonic: He is? What's he doing with her?

Charmy: I saw he was being her co-captain.

Sonic: I guess Ray has a crush on Marine.

Mighty: Yeah. He does.

Sonic: I figured.

Mighty: So how are you and Amy doing?

Sonic: Sonic Jr really likes Amy's police cap so she took it along for him to play with.

Mighty: Really?

Sonic: Yes.

Mighty: OK then.

Back in the captain's room

Marine: How are you enjoying this, Ray?

Ray: I guess I'm enjoying it. But I'm thinking about Mighty. In fact, last night, before our date, we were playing a game of pool and left in the middle of our game.

Marine: You what?

Ray: It's bad. I know.

Marine: I think you should apologize to your friend.

Ray: You're right, Marine. I'll go and do that.

So Ray left and found Mighty.

Ray: Hey Mighty, about our game last night.

Mighty: What about it?

Ray: I just came to say I'm sorry about leaving in the middle of it.

Mighty: That's OK.

Ray: So you're not angry with me?

Mighty: I am a little angry, but I forgive you.

Ray: Oh. Thanks.

Mighty: What are friends for?

The next day, Ray decided to spend the day with Mighty to make up for what had happened the other night. Ray would rather be with Marine. But he needed to spend time with his best friend too.

Mighty: Want to play Monopoly?

Ray: Okay.

So Ray and Mighty started to play the game. But Ray was still thinking about Marine.

Mighty: Ray. It's your move.

Ray: Oh. Sorry.

During the game whenever it was Ray's turn Ray seemed to be distracted. This made Mighty lose his Patience.

Mighty: STOP THINKING ABOUT MARINE!!!

Ray: Sorry. I can't help myself.

Mighty didn't think he wanted to play with Ray if he was always distracted. The next morning Ray thought that Mighty was a little upset. So he went to Sonic to see what he knew.

Ray: Hi Sonic.

Sonic: Hi Ray. Is something wrong?

Ray: Well you know our captain, Marine? Well, I got love dazed over her. We started spending time with each other but Mighty was angry because I had been thinking more about her than our game.

Sonic: I see. I think I know how you feel.

Ray: You do?

Sonic: After I asked Amy to marry me, Tails was a little jealous of me too.

Ray: He was?

Sonic: Yep.

Ray: But isn't he married too?

Sonic: This was before he was married.

Ray: Oh.

Then Sonic Jr came in. He was wearing Amy's police hat.

Ray: What is Jr doing with Amy's Cop hat?

Sonic: He just likes it.

Ray: Oh.

Then Sonic felt like Someone cuffed him. He turned around and it was Sonic Jr.

Sonic: And he's learned how to use the handcuffs.

Ray: That's funny.

Sonic: Can you help me out?

Ray: Sure.

So Ray undid the handcuffs on Sonic's hands

Sonic: Thanks

Ray: You're welcome.

Sonic: I better put them away before he cuffs someone else.

Ray: Okay.

And Ray left. He later saw Marine again.

Marine: Hey Ray.

Ray: Hey Marine.

Marine: What's up?

Ray: I just had a talk with Sonic cause Mighty's a bit jealous. And also Amy brought her hat and handcuffs for Sonic Jr to play with and he even cuffed Sonic's hands. I had to help him out.

Marine: That's funny.

Ray: And Mighty is mad cause yesterday when we were playing Monopoly, I was too distracted.

Marine: You were? What about?

Ray: You.

Marine: Oh.

Ray: Maybe the three of us can do something together.

Marine: But I can't leave this room.

Ray: Maybe you could put someone else in charge of the boat?

Marine: Wait. I forgot I turned the boat off at night. Otherwise, I'd have to be up all night. Silly me.

Ray: OK. So we can do something later tonight?

Marine: Yeah.

So later that night, Ray and Marine met up with Mighty.

Mighty: What are you two doing?

Ray: Marine said the three of us could do something together.

Marine: I turned the boat off so I don't have to worry about that.

Mighty: So we can all play a game together?

Ray: Yeah.

Marine: Well, what game would you boys like to play?

Ray: We could go and play Monopoly again.

Mighty: That'll be great.

The boat was to be sailing for 2 more days.

When Ray woke up

Ray: Yawn. Good morning guys.

Everyone else was still asleep.

Ray: Oh I see. I suppose it's been a long night for all of us. I'll just go see what Marine is up to. Besides sailing the boat of course.

So Ray went and knocked on the captain's door. Marine opened it up.

Marine: Oh Ray. So nice to see you. Come on in.

Ray: Thank you.

So Ray went on inside.

Marine: Ray, Do you really love me?

Ray: Yes. Do you love me?

Marine: Yes Ray.

Ray: Thanks, Marine. Can we have a date again tonight?

Marine: In this room of course.

Ray: Great. I'll go spend time with Mighty for the day and come back this evening.

Marine: Okay Ray.

So Ray went off to find Mighty.

Ray: Hey Mighty.

Mighty: Hi, Ray. How have you been?

Ray: Doing pretty good.

Mighty: That's good.

Ray: Look, I'll spend time with you for the day. I'll be on a date with Marine this evening. But for the day I'll do things with you.

Mighty: Okay.

So for the day Ray and Mighty were having a good time together as best friends. Later in the evening, Ray was ready to see Marine.

Mighty: Thanks for spending the day with me, Ray

Ray: You're welcome.

And then Ray went to see Marine. Marine already had their dinner ready. And after dinner, Ray went to his room. Mighty didn't mind Ray was spending time with Marine. He knew Ray was happy.

The next morning Ray thought Mighty would be mad. So he went over to see Mighty.

Ray: Mighty, are you mad at me?

Mighty: No. I don't mind.

Ray: You don't?

Mighty: No. What is important is that you are happy.

Ray: Aw. Thanks, Mighty. I do feel happy when I'm with Marine.

Mighty: You know what else you could do.

Ray: What?

Mighty: Why don't you ask her to marry you?

Ray: Well. I don't know.

Mighty: You think about it. We're going home tomorrow.

Ray knew he had to buy an engagement ring before he could ask Marine to marry him. But there were no ring stores on the boat. Ray would just have to ask where Marine's house was. So that evening Ray came to see Marine.

Marine: Hey Ray.

Ray: He Marine. I was just wondering. Where do you live?

Marine: I live on Raccoon Street.

Ray: Okay. Thanks, Marine.

The next morning the boat trip was over. And that evening, Ray went to find Marine.

Ray: Hmmm. She said she lived on Raccoon Street.

Ray then found her mailbox. He knew it cause it said "Marine Raccoon"

Ray: This is it.

Ray had already bought the ring. He knocked on the door.

Marine: Hey Ray.

Ray: Hey Marine.

Marine: Come in.

Ray and Marine sat on the couch.

Marine: What do you have in the bag, Ray?

Ray: Well...Marine...

Ray got what was in the bag. It was a small box. He handed it to Marine. She opened it and was surprised.

Ray: Will you marry me, Marine?

Marine: Well. I do love you. YES. I will marry you. When is the wedding?

Ray: I'm thinking in a couple of months.

Marine: Okay.

The next day Ray met Mighty in the park.

Ray: Hey Mighty

Mighty: Hi Ray.

Ray: Guess what?

Mighty: What?

Ray: Marine and I are engaged.

Mighty: That's great. Um Ray. I'm sorry for the way I acted during our trip.

Ray: I was just about to ask that. Anyway, we are marrying next Thursday.

Mighty: Okay.

A couple of months had gone by and they then got married. The wedding was great. Mighty even got to be the best man. After the wedding was over, during the reception, Ray's friends congratulated him on the wedding.

Mighty: Thanks for making me your best man, Ray.

Ray: You're welcome, Mighty. Anything for my best friend.

Vector: So, have you thought about your future?

Ray: Well. I was thinking that we could have a kid. Of course, it would be a half-raccoon, half-squirrel.

Marine: Can you imagine how that'll turn out?

Espio: Yeah. Very interesting.

About a few years later, Marine and Ray did have a baby squirrel/raccoon child. It was a girl. She had yellow fur like her father and the appearance of her mother. They named her "May."
