"Hey, Sonic! Check this out!" Tails invited the cobalt blue hedgehog to his computer.
"What'cha got, buddy?" Sonic peeked over the two tailed fox's shoulder
"There's a sale on tickets to the local theme park!" Tails had his cursor over the "buy tickets" button.
"Heck yeah! We haven't been to a theme park in ages! Sonic agreed. "We got the rings, so why not." Sonic clicked the button for Tails.
Tails set up the finances and was sent the tickets virtually. He accessed them via his smartphone. Sonic took Tails to the park in his arms, arriving there quickly.
"Aww, yeah! This is happening!" Sonic stretched at the entrance to the park, putting Tails down.

"I'm so excited! I'm gonna go on all the coasters!" Tails hopped excitedly.
"Don't go on any without me!" Sonic guided Tails in line for the entrance.
"Right back at ya!" Tails swayed in place
Once they were inside the park, Tails used an app to get a map of the park. Sonic also used a pamphlet to get details on the rides and places to eat.
"Let's start with the chill rides; work our way to the more extreme coasters." Tails suggested.
"Good idea. Gentle rides are good fun." Sonic smiled, looking for one that wasn't an outright kiddie ride.
"This one looks promising. It's called the Trailblazer." Tails pointed on the map.
"Mhmm! Looks good, alright! Let's get there fast!" Sonic picked up Tails in his arms, ready to speed there.
"Sonic, if we speed around all day, we'll be done too soon. I wanna enjoy this." Tails requested, blushing in Sonic's arms.
"Okay, but just this once." Sonic compromised, speeding over to the ride.
Tails sighed happily, loving the rush as much as Sonic. After waiting in line, they climbed into a coaster car and were locked in safely. Tails moved his body excitedly as the coaster went up the hill. Sonic smiled, watching Tails have fun.
As they went down the small gradient hill, it turned out to be a smooth ride, even when it went into a double downward helix. As it gained a bit of speed, Tails smiled and put his hands in the air. Sonic followed suit only to put them in down as their ride went into a tunnel. He forced Tails hands down quickly and in time for the tunnel. The ride ended shortly after the tunnel.
"That was nice." Sonic smiled.
"Yeah. Gentle rides are good fun." Tails stepped out once the restraints were undone. Sonic followed suit, checking the map on the way down. "Let's save food for later. It's a bad idea to fill up before riding." Tails suggested.
"Yeah. The last thing we want is to puke." Sonic agreed. "Once we do eat, we'll chill while it digests." Sonic decided. "So what's our next ride?"
"Let's take it up a notch, do a looping coaster." Tails suggested.
"Yeah. I saw a blue one on the way here." Sonic stated.
"Of course. That's your favorite color." Tails thought to himself, following Sonic's lead. Once they arrived, they got in line. Sooper Dooper Looper." He read the sign for the coaster. "Getting a little hot out here." Tails fanned himself.
"You're telling me." Sonic used Tails namesakes to fan himself.
"After this, let's find somewhere to cool down." Tails began to sweat.
"There IS a water park. It's hard to think of anywhere else better to cool down." Sonic stated with a slight shudder.
"Relax, Sonic." Tails smiled softly. "We'll stay away from the big pool's, and stick to the rides." He smiled, knowing Sonic's fear.
"Appreciated." Sonic sighed in relief as they got to the front of the line. The duo were strapped in and sent up the first hill. Sonic grumbled. "Why am I nervous?? We go through loops and corkscrews all the time!" He got a little apprehensive at the loop ahead.
"Hmm. I'm not sure. I'll think about it after the ride." Tails didn't have time to think as they went down the hill and through the loop. The duo gave screams as they did so, enjoying the thrill. Once they evened out from the loop, there came a tight helix, which also enacted a scream from Tails. They soon came back to the station.
"Alright!" Sonic exclaimed. Sonic stretched coming off the ride.
"That wasn't so bad." Tails smiled.
"Yeah. Pretty cool!" Sonic gave a thumbs.
"Now let's take a short break before we move on to our boss battle." Tails sat on a nearby bench.
"We gonna fight Eggman?" Sonic asked jokingly.
"No, we're gonna ride The Great Bear." Tails pointed to a black tracked coaster in the distance with many inversions.
"Yyyyyeah. That's a boss battle if ever there was one." Sonic sighed, happy there were taking a break first.
"I think I figured it out." Tails looked at Sonic.
"Figured what out?" Sonic asked, looking back at Tails
"Why we're scared on the coasters." Tails smiled, looking away for a moment at a coaster passing through a loop.
"Do tell." Sonic acted interested, but knew he couldn't always follow allow to Tails nerd talk.
"Well, when we're going through the loops on our own, we have control of our speed and direction, as well as what we do after." Tails tried to keep it simple.
"Uh huh, and?" Sonic followed along.
"On a coaster, we're at its whim. We have no control. Having no control can be scary."
Sonic's eyes clicked as if realizing something. "Like when Eggman uses flickies for his robots?"
"Kinda, except without the evil intent." Tails suddenly had a bad feeling.
"Eh. As long as were not in actual danger, I think it's fine." Sonic stood and stretched. "Onto the boss battle?" He offered.
"Yeah. Let's go." Tails hovered along the path, excited. Sonic smiled and followed happily, his heart beating fast.
Towards the front of the line, the duo stared down the intimidating challenge ahead. They were strapped in with over the shoulder restraints. Tails obviously looked worse for wear. Sonic offered his hand to hold. Tails gulped and took it, holding it tight. He kept repeating to himself: "They've tested this ride many times. It's perfectly safe, and I'm perfectly safe with Sonic." He took deep breaths. Sonic barely had time to process this before they went down the first helix and the first hill.
Tails screamed as they went through the first loop, then a half loop, which corkscrewed out right side down. Down another small hill, Sonic squeezed Tails hand as they went through a barrel roll. There was a bit of a wait before the next inversions, which was a corkscrew. Tails gave a squeal of enjoyment. This turned out to be the last inversion as the rest of the ride was smooth back to the station.
Once off the ride, Tails felt a bit dizzy. Sonic felt fine and helped steady his partner. "You good?"
"Yeah. I will be in a minute or two..." Tails was led to a bench where he rested, his hand still holding Sonic's.
"You... wanna hold on a little longer?" Sonic pat Tails back.
Tails hugged him. "I wanna hold on... forever."
"What are you saying?" Sonic smiled.
"I'm saying... I'm saying!..." Tails couldn't find the words.
Sonic returned the hug happily. "Me too, bud. I love you too."
Tails was rendered speechless and could only smile as they held the hig for a good while.
"You good?" Sonic released the hug after a while. Tails nodded. "Come on, let's get some food." Sonic led the way, Tails holding his hand beside him.
