I can relate to this. I remember one time when I was five years old playing outside in a new pair of shoes after it was raining. I stepped into the bathtub and turned on the water to rinse off the mud. The water ruined the leather and my father thought that I did this on purpose. This was before I knew the effect that water has on leather.
