Tony Ryan (the human on the left) is a veteran Detective who has recently had a fall from grace and has been given one last chance to redeem himself. Flynn, just Flynn, the German Shepherd on the right, is the first Anthro officer to make detective. She has been assigned to work with the recovering alcoholic and is worried about her future on the Squad. Neither seems quite comfortable with being partnered with the other.

LOL. Maybe anthros developed permanent breasts because the males were more apt to mate with females who had them just as humans are more likely to make with females with more noticeable breasts than females who don't have them.

In her backstory her ancestors were breed mainly for the the sex trade, so until the outright slavery of Anthros became illegal in the country where this takes place they would have been breed to produce more desirable sex trade workers; svelte felines, busty canines, soft fluffy sheep ...
In other Anthro stories of mine the deliberate or accidental introduction of dominant human DNA into their environment gradually accumulates in the top-tier predators, gradually giving them them human attributes, while retaining some of their unique animal characteristics. In those stories they would breed to reinforce survival skills ... but no one can resist a drop-dead gorgeous cat girl or a sexy wolf lady.

After reading your reply, I see that we have very similar ideas about human DNA in anthros. Of course, the big difference that I can see is that human DNA was what caused the ferals to become anthros so human attributes were there from the very beginning including broad shoulders and plantigrade feet. In the backstory of my anthros they were enslaved and the more popular "species" were put into sex slavery since the courts couldn't agree on whether or not they were humans or animals. Eventually, the Humanimals as I call them were granted freedom from slavery since they were, genetically, half-human. The half-human part was granted the rights and freedoms of full humans and, as a result, the half-animal part was freed as well.

It is a similar situation in the story that goes with this image, except that I added a third group - the Furries- they being humans altered with animal DNA. The Furries, having had human parents, were afforded Human rights from the get-go while the Anthros were initially enslaved.
