While Maya is babysitting the kids at the Prower house, Knuckles and Tikal send Pakal to patrol the island. Meanwhile, the Echidnas invite their closest friends to join them for a ceremony that they've held each time Tikal has laid her eggs, which is to gather around the Master Emerald and ask for blessings for the soon to be born children.

Everyone is on board with this as Knuckles chants the mantra he's given for the birth of each of his children...although Sonic tends to get bored during the ceremony, which means Amy has to get him back in line.

Amy: "Show some respect, this is part of their culture!"

Sonic: "But does it have to take almost an hour?"

Amy: "It doesn't! Now shh!"
