“This is insane!” Carol yelled, cutting through a line of Goombas with her claws. Her red scarf whipped dramatically behind her. “How many of these guys does he have?”
Lilac dashed past her, unleashing a Dragon Boost that scattered a group of Shy Guys. “We just need to break through and get to Bowser!”
Milla panted as she caught up, throwing an energy cube at an oncoming Paratroopa. “Mario’s already inside—we’ve got to back him up!”
Neera sent an icy blast toward a group of charging enemies, freezing them in their tracks. “Focus. If Torque’s readings are correct, the shard we’re looking for is here.”
Lilac glanced at the tracker built into Torque’s device, which hummed faintly in her hands. “We’re close, but we’ll have to deal with Bowser first.”
The group fought their way through the relentless waves of enemies, finally reaching the massive airship. They climbed aboard, the deck groaning beneath their weight. Bowser’s deep, menacing laugh echoed across the battlefield.
“You think you can stop me?!” Bowser roared, his spiked shell gleaming under the harsh light of his airship’s torches. He stepped forward, a glowing multicolored shard embedded in his spiked collar. The shard pulsed faintly, its energy radiating with every step he took. “Princess Peach is mine, and you’re about to become toast!”
Carol pointed at the shard. “There it is! That thing’s giving him extra power.”
Lilac nodded, her eyes narrowing. “We’ll need to knock it off him. Let’s do this!”

Bowser wasted no time, unleashing a torrent of fire that sent the group scrambling for cover. His every attack sent shockwaves across the deck, splintering the wood beneath their feet. The shard embedded in his collar glowed brighter with each move, amplifying his already formidable strength.
“Keep him distracted!” Lilac shouted as she dodged a claw swipe. “We need to separate him from the shard!”
Milla hurled an energy cube toward Bowser’s feet, the resulting explosion staggering him. “He’s too strong! That shard is making him unstoppable!”
Neera launched a series of icy projectiles at Bowser, freezing parts of his shell. “Focus your attacks on his collar. That’s where the shard is!”
Carol darted in close, her claws striking at Bowser’s chest. “C’mon, big guy, you’ve got nothing on us!”
Bowser roared in frustration, slamming his fists into the deck. The shockwave sent everyone tumbling backward, but Lilac recovered quickly, her eyes locked on the glowing shard.
“Now’s our chance!” she shouted. With a burst of speed, Lilac leapt into the air, delivering a spinning kick to Bowser’s collar. The shard cracked loose and clattered to the ground, its energy dimming slightly as it landed.
Bowser staggered, clutching at his chest where the shard had been. “No! That’s mine!”
Neera stepped forward, freezing Bowser in place with a concentrated blast of frost. “You’re finished.”
Before Bowser could break free, Mario appeared, leaping onto the scene with his iconic red cap and mustache. “It’s-a me, Mario!” he called, giving Bowser a thumbs-down. With a powerful spin-jump, Mario delivered the final blow, sending Bowser flying off the airship and into the horizon.
As the group caught their breath, Milla carefully picked up the shard, its energy humming faintly in her hands. “We got it!”
Lilac nodded. “Great work, everyone. Let’s get this back to Torque.”
Mario gave the group a cheerful thumbs-up. “Nice-a job! Let’s-a go save Peach!”

Inside Bowser’s castle, the group freed Princess Peach from her gilded cage. She smiled warmly at her rescuers. “Thank you, all of you. The Mushroom Kingdom owes you a great debt.”
As the group explained the shard’s importance, Peach’s expression grew serious. “If that shard is part of what’s destabilizing your world, then I’m glad you were able to recover it. If you ever need our help, we’ll be here.”
Lilac nodded. “Thank you, Princess. We’ll do everything we can to fix this.”
The shard was secured in Torque’s device, its energy stabilizing the surrounding area. The chaotic distortions in the Mushroom Kingdom began to fade, returning the world to normal.
“Looks like that did the trick,” Carol said, adjusting her scarf. “One shard down, who knows how many to go.”

Section 4: Unseen Shadows in Shang Tu
While Team Lilac celebrated their victory, disaster struck Shang Tu. Miyu launched her surprise attack, her private army sweeping through the city like a storm. The palace guards fought valiantly but were no match for Miyu’s ruthless precision.
The Magistrate stood at the throne room’s entrance, his expression grim as Miyu approached. “You’ll never hold Shang Tu,” he said, his voice steady despite the chaos around him.
Miyu smirked, her sharp claws glinting in the torchlight. “Oh, but I already do.”
In a swift, calculated move, Miyu incapacitated the Magistrate. Her forces seized Torque, who had been assisting the palace defenses, and dragged him into the dungeons alongside the Magistrate. Miyu ascended the throne, her victory complete.
“This city is mine now,” she declared, her voice echoing across the palace. “And soon, all of Avalice will follow.”

Back in the Mushroom Kingdom, Torque’s portal device activated, creating a swirling vortex in the castle courtyard. Mario, Peach, and Toad waved goodbye as Team Lilac prepared to step through.
“Thanks again-a for the help-a!” Mario called. “Good-a luck saving your world-a!”
Lilac glanced at her team. “We’ve got one shard, but this is just the beginning. Let’s keep going.”
Carol adjusted her scarf, a confident grin on her face. “Another world, another adventure. Bring it on.”
Unaware of the events unfolding in Shang Tu, the group stepped through the portal, ready for whatever awaited them.
