A lucario encounters an aggressive opponent, the likes of which he's never seen before.

I'm not entirely sure where the idea for this came from. I remember looking up how tall lucario and renamon are and thought, "Dang. Renamon is almost two feet taller!" Then the idea of a stand-off came around. dahecksajerry's lucario design was also an influence. Originally, they were both going to be closer to on-model.

I wanted the angle to be interesting, but I'm afraid I lost that height difference between the two. The scene, including stand-ins for the characters, was built in Blender. I was originally happy with how it looked. But looking at it again now, I'm kinda disappointed with the coloring and overall balance.

I hated that deathbattle. They used Movie Lucario and argue that because Lucario can use heal pulse (A move that cant use the user) that gives Lucario the win. Menwhile, they nerfed the heck outta renamon.

It looks like Renamon is about to use her Diamond Storm attack and yes, Renamon is tall. In the series, her tamer, Rika, only comes up to her upper belly or lower chest. (Her height may be one of the reasons she's my favorite Digimon.)

Renamon doesn't really fall into the "fighting-type" category. Also, Diamond Storm isn't a rock-type move; it's a grass-type move.

I always thought it would be a fairly even fight especially assuming both are about equal age. Canonically Aura doesnt really have a training limit outside game mechanics but the power scaling for Digimon gets dangerous if that renamon has ever been a mega or evem an ultimate because even though Digimon go back to level 1 when they digivolve or dedigivolve they keep a portion of the level up bonuses they got in their other forms.
