Sprunki Babies, Episode 51: "Funbot Returns"
---
It was a peaceful morning at the Beat Box nursery. The Sprunkis were busy with their usual activities—Gray was drumming away on his toy set, Skye was zooming his plane around the room, and Pinki and Wenda were working on a colorful puzzle. Durple, as usual, was building his “dragon hoard” of shiny toys in the corner.
Ripple clapped his hands to gather everyone’s attention. “Alright, Sprunkis! We have a special visitor coming today.”
“A visitor?” Pinki asked, her ears perking up.
“Is it someone famous?” Wenda added, tilting her head.
“You could say that,” Ripple replied with a knowing smile. “Someone you’ve all been asking about.”
Before the Sprunkis could ask more questions, the door swung open, and in rolled Funbot. His digital eyes lit up as he scanned the room. “Hello, friends! Funbot is back—and this time, to stay!”
“Funbot!” Gray yelled, jumping up from his drum set. “You’re here!”
The other Sprunkis quickly gathered around, cheering and laughing. Even Durple dropped his treasure to join the crowd.
“We missed you!” Skye said, flying his plane in a loop around Funbot.
“I missed you too,” Funbot replied, spinning in a happy circle. “And I’ve got plenty of fun planned for today!”
---
Ripple and Danny watched the reunion from the side, smiling. “Looks like the Sprunkis are thrilled,” Danny said.
“It’s good to have Funbot here full-time,” Ripple said. “The kids have been asking about him nonstop.”
Bianca peeked in from the kitchen, her hands dusted with flour. “It’s not just the kids. Funbot brings a little something extra to all of us.”
---
Funbot wasted no time getting involved in the activities. He helped Gray create a new drumbeat, using his robotic arms to tap along. Skye challenged him to a race around the room, and even though Funbot didn’t have wings, his wheels made him a worthy competitor.
Durple, meanwhile, was busy showing Funbot his collection. “This is my treasure hoard,” he said proudly, holding up a shiny toy car. “What do you think?”
“Impressive!” Funbot said, his eyes glowing. “But do you want to add a little something extra?”
Durple tilted his head. “Like what?”
Funbot reached into his storage compartment and pulled out a small, golden trinket shaped like a gear. “A special piece, just for you.”
Durple’s eyes widened. “For me? Really?”
“Of course!” Funbot said. “Every dragon needs a golden treasure.”
Durple carefully placed the trinket on top of his hoard. “Thanks, Funbot! You’re the best.”
---
Later in the day, Funbot led the group in a game of “robot freeze tag.” He rolled around the room, tagging Sprunkis with his soft, glowing hand while they laughed and dodged him.
“I got you, Wenda!” Funbot said, tapping her lightly.
“No fair!” Wenda laughed, freezing in place. “You’re too fast!”
“Not for long!” Skye shouted, swooping in to tag Funbot back.
---
As the day went on, the Sprunkis couldn’t help but ask Funbot questions. “Why didn’t you stay with us before?” Pinki asked.
Funbot’s eyes dimmed slightly. “I had to go back to Garnold and Clukr for updates and testing. They wanted to make sure I was the best Funbot I could be.”
“But you’re staying now, right?” Wenda asked hopefully.
Funbot’s voice softened. “That’s right. Garnold and Clukr decided I belong here, with all of you. This is my home now.”
Ripple stepped in, kneeling beside the group. “See? Sometimes, people or robots need time to find their place. But when they do, it makes everything better.”
The Sprunkis cheered, gathering around Funbot for a big group hug. Even Durple joined in, though he kept one hand on his dragon hoard.
---
The rest of the day was filled with games, music, and laughter. Funbot’s infectious energy brought the whole room to life. Bianca brought out snacks, and the Sprunkis sat together, talking about all the fun they would have now that Funbot was staying.
Ripple leaned over to Danny. “Looks like Funbot’s going to fit in just fine.”
Danny nodded. “Yeah, he’s exactly what this place needed.”
As the sun set on the Beat Box nursery, Funbot powered down slightly to conserve energy, but his glowing eyes remained warm and happy. The Sprunkis gathered around him, already planning the next day’s adventures.
For Funbot, and for everyone else, the Beat Box wasn’t just a nursery—it was home.
