Yea, I feel like keeping this train rolling a bit longer. So, I've brought up who Malphesto is in Wicked Ones, and how he desired to join the pantheon of the Dark Gods in the game's lore. Well, every would be evil god wannabe should have a nemesis that they oppose, right? If Malphesto desires to become the Dark God of Control and Corruption, then he needed someone to be his enemy that was the opposite side of his twisted coin. Enter the Goddess Kevtia, one of the divine Goddesses of the Light Gods, and the one who holds domain over Love and Marriage.

As a Goddess, Kevtia holds a role akin to Eros, the deity who will aid true love to be forged between those who live in the light. If you couldn't find the nerve to give the girl you like a flower, had a hard time spitting out those oh so treasured three little words or to make a gesture of affection of deep meaning, praying to her meant if the love is real, and I mean genuine, she would silently be that moment of courage or that emotional blurting how you really felt; she's not mean to those who are acting on a crush or because emotions are running high, she is simply busy and tries to make the real thing count.
Obviously, if real love found each other, then Kevtia was the eternal bride's maid asked to bless a wedding, to make it truly last until death did you part. Marriages blessed by her were practically guarantied to be happy, fulfilling and most of all filled with a strong love that could overcome any trials faced. Though it saddens her, she is also the goddess called on to separate lovers when that's the healthiest option for both parties. Her domains center on equality and purity; both things that fly in the face of Malphesto's twisted world view. She is a firm believer that sex is something only done between committed lovers; Malphesto encourages sex whenever, how ever.
Kevtia believes in Love; Malphesto encourages Corruption of that love into lust. She believes in marriage as a united, mutual bond; he believes in absolute Control over anything your heart wants. In our Wicked Ones game, Kevtia was one of the two ultimate goods in the setting, and her order was made of literal Magical Girls who use the powers of love and friendship to punch your brain out of your skull. Granted, as Malphesto preformed a grand and EXTREMELY ballsy move on the very day Kevtia descended from the heavens to personally anoint her newest champions.
On that same day, Malphesto stole some of Kevtia's power for himself, stealing the power meant to bring new champions of her light into the world... So he could create the very first Dark Magical Girls in the universe as his tools. It only worked and Kevtia herself failed to notice that was why her powers failed and left her new candidates wanting because the dice were with me that session. It's hard to beat multiple 6's in Wicked Ones, because that gives the player that rolled them absolute control of the narrative! Think becoming the GM/DM for what you were rolling for, and why it goes exactly how you want.
Kevtia has no idea there's a Dark God ascendant out there that views her as his enemy, due to how powerful she is and how many mortals call on her daily. But it is Malphesto's ultimate goal that once he becomes a Dark God... His first move will be to bind Kevtia as his personal slave as a boast to both the Light and the Dark. And his Dark Magical Girls? You'll see em..
