Now, here's a less raunchy piece of lore about Malphesto. As you've seen previously with Jynx, my AU versions of Collin and Emily as well as many others, Malphesto tends to brand his property with one of these collars. Bearing his Unholy Symbol in the front and center of the throat, Malphesto is not content with collars made of leather, metal, or even basic fabric. In fact, he isn't fond of a collar being removed in the first place. Malphesto's own dark brand of collar of course begins with his symbol, again placed against the center of the subject's throat, as Loona here is used as an example.

Once in place on someone he deems worthy, the symbol begins to expel threads, the same threats of Fate Malphesto himself controls and manipulates. These threads begin to weave a red collar, not around a subject's neck, but IN the subject's neck. This means this strip of fabric replaces the fur, skin, scales, whatever, of the subject's throat, forming a complete seal to bind his symbol to their body. There is no way to slip the fingers under the collar, and taking a blade to it is the same as putting a knife to your throat now and cutting. It is part of your body now, and only he can remove it of his own desire and will.

Once the collar is complete, you are now Malphesto's property, same as if you sold your soul to a demon or Overlord. The collar ensures absolute obedience to his will and desires, but it does not prevent you from refusing to obey, nor trying to talk him out of what he wants from you, unless he directly states it is an order or command. He's willing to allow wiggle room on these things, after all. The collar also ensures protection and safety; Malphesto is aware of every single collar he has and where they are at all times. If he detects you are in danger, he can appear by your side in an instant. And woe be to anything who think they can fuck with his property and get away with it...
