**Sprunki Babies, Episode 9: "The Mystery of the Missing Drumstick"**
---
The Beat Box nursery was as lively as ever, filled with the sound of happy chatter and the scent of Bianca’s freshly baked fruit muffins. The babies were playing with their favorite toys, eagerly waiting for snack time. But then, a loud gasp from Gray caught everyone’s attention.
“Hey! Where’s my drumstick?” he exclaimed, looking around his little drum set in confusion. One of his drumsticks was missing, and Gray looked absolutely heartbroken.
The babies stopped what they were doing, turning their heads in surprise. Gray’s drumsticks were his most treasured possessions, and he never left them lying around.
“Oh no!” Wenda gasped, her eyes lighting up. “A mystery!”
Danny, who was organizing toys nearby, overheard the commotion. He walked over and knelt beside Gray with a gentle smile. “Looks like we’ve got a mystery on our hands,” he said with a twinkle in his eye. “How about we work together to solve it?”
Skye’s face lit up, excited by the idea. “Yeah! We can be detectives!”
Gray tilted his head, his eyes widening with curiosity. “Detectives?”
The babies all exchanged puzzled looks, unsure what a detective was. Pinki turned toward Mr. Computer, who was ready to help with their questions from his spot on the desk.
“Mr. Computer,” she asked, “what’s a detective?”
Mr. Computer’s screen lit up, and his friendly face appeared. “Hello, Sprunkis! A detective is someone who solves mysteries. They look for clues, ask questions, and try to figure out what happened.”
Gray’s eyes widened in awe. “So… detectives help find things?”
“That’s right, Gray!” Mr. Computer replied. “Detectives observe, listen, and put clues together to solve mysteries.”
Pinki spotted a small magnifying glass in the play area and held it up, inspecting it closely. “Like a real detective! I’ll find the clues!” she declared, ready for action.
Gray sniffled a bit, still sad about his missing drumstick, but seeing his friends so enthusiastic gave him a spark of hope. “Okay! Let’s look for clues!”
---
The babies spread out across the nursery, determined to find Gray’s missing drumstick. Pinki was the first to spot something. “Hey, look!” she called out, pointing to a small trail of crumbs near Gray’s drum set.
Skye squinted at the crumbs, scratching his head. “Crumbs… what could that mean?”
Bianca, who was setting out the rest of the snacks, chuckled softly as she watched their investigation unfold. “Crumbs can sometimes lead to answers,” she suggested, remembering the muffins she’d made earlier.
Gray leaned down, inspecting the crumbs closely. “These look like crumbs from Bianca’s muffins!” he realized, his eyes widening with excitement.
“Then maybe the muffin thief took the drumstick too!” Wenda said, her voice full of dramatic mystery.
The babies followed the crumb trail across the nursery floor, carefully peeking under tables and around toys as they went. The trail led them to a cozy little nook behind the storybook shelf, where they spotted a tiny glint of light.
Gray’s face brightened with excitement. “My drumstick!”
Skye leaned in, scratching his head. “How did it end up back here?”
Just then, Bianca knelt beside them, noticing something else—a tiny set of paw prints in the crumbs near the drumstick. She pointed them out with a knowing smile.
“Look at these little prints,” she said gently, guiding the babies’ attention to the floor.
The babies examined the tiny paw prints, their minds racing with ideas.
“Those look like they belong to someone small,” Pinki guessed, squinting at the prints. “Maybe a mouse?”
Gray gasped, his imagination running wild. “Or maybe it’s a squirrel!”
---
Just then, a small, familiar giggle echoed from a corner of the room. Out from behind the toys popped Tunner, wearing his signature hat with no visible ears, his cheeks stuffed with muffin crumbs and his hands holding Gray’s missing drumstick.
“Tunner!” Skye laughed, recognizing their little friend and realizing who the muffin (and drumstick) thief was.
Tunner grinned, his hat bobbing as he gave the babies a sheepish smile. “I just wanted to see what it was like to play drums like Gray!” he explained, holding up the drumstick. “And the muffins smelled so yummy, I couldn’t resist.”
Gray couldn’t help but laugh, relieved to have his drumstick back. “You could have just asked, Tunner!”
Tunner’s cheeks turned pink as he looked at Gray with an apologetic smile. “Sorry, Gray. I thought it’d be fun to try and be sneaky like a detective too.”
Bianca walked over, giving Tunner a gentle pat on the shoulder. “It’s okay, Tunner. Next time, just ask if you’d like to play with Gray’s drums or have a muffin.”
Danny, smiling, gave the babies an approving nod. “Great job, detectives! You solved ‘The Mystery of the Missing Drumstick’!”
The babies cheered, proud of their detective work. Gray twirled his drumstick happily, thrilled to have it back, while Pinki, Wenda, and Skye shared high-fives, feeling accomplished.
---
As a reward for their hard work, Bianca handed out more of her delicious fruit muffins to each of the babies. The air filled with happy giggles as they munched away, savoring the sweet flavors.
With the mystery solved, Danny pulled them all together for a “Detectives’ Circle,” where each baby shared their favorite part of the adventure.
“I liked following the crumbs,” said Pinki, still holding her magnifying glass proudly.
“I thought the paw prints were cool,” Skye added with a grin.
Wenda threw her arms up dramatically. “I knew it was a mystery from the start!”
Gray, hugging his drumstick close, smiled at Tunner. “And I’m glad Tunner’s my friend, even if he borrowed my drumstick.”
Tunner, grateful for their forgiveness, gave a big grin. “Thanks, everyone. I promise to ask next time.”
Mr. Computer chimed in from his desk. “Congratulations, Sprunkis! You did an excellent job using observation and teamwork. True detectives in the making!”
Feeling proud, the babies finished their muffins and spent the rest of the day pretending to be detectives, practicing their observation skills around the nursery. They peeked under tables, examined every toy closely, and even made up their own little “clues” to solve together.
As the day wound down, Danny and Bianca watched their little detectives with pride, knowing they’d turned a simple mystery into an unforgettable adventure.
The babies drifted off to sleep that night, dreaming of more mysteries and adventures yet to come, ready to face any challenge together, with drumsticks, muffins, and a little help from their friends.
