Carrie certainly approves of this new old gear, but I don't know if the feeling's mutual.
For any that haven't heart of the awesome badass valkyrie known as Rossweisse, you will be killed- I mean, check it out! It is more than worth your time! And it's a comic by
It honestly took me a while to figure out Rossweisse, mostly for her face. If you draw her too far into another style, it doesn't look 'right.' She has a particular proportion of facial features that make her very unique design-wise; unmistakeably so when paired up with virtually any other character outside of her series, and many within. I especially notice that I don't see pupils on her, whenever I've looked.

I designed Rossweisse with "less is more" and with black and white in mind. Normally you don't see the outline of any muzzle but it's implied by where her nose is. If you don't do it right, it messes everything up. You did a fine job, when I saw the thumbnail with the title off the bottom of the screen I thought "That looks like Rossweisse with a bow and school uniform". And so it was!
Valkyries (in my universe at least) see differently than normal people or even other Aesir, so their eyes are different, looking like solid blue pupils with no iris. Many of her "awesome Valkyrie powers" are due to her way of seeing; ability to accurately judge distance and speed, to track multiple objects, are handy for deflecting arrows and throwing stuff. Being able to see souls is vital to her former occupation (Also makes her a pretty good judge of character, I'm sure she'd approve of Nat & Cat.). Aside from her behavior, her eyes are her biggest obstacle to blending in with the locals.

Whoa, really?? That's awesome, I never knew that! That would explain a lot, actually, now that I think about it. She has a lot of scenes where she's conspicuously looking at/toward things, and now that has a lot more depth to it. Very cool!
I can't imagine Nat 'n Cat not adoring Rossweisse. Tall, imposing, leagues of badass all but forgotten by their society- they'd definitely try to make her hang out with them. Not to mention ogling.
