Because I'm tweaking Sonic characters' designs, I tried drawing them like the demonstration doodles in the JP manual for Sonic1, so details disappear and you see what features really make you recognize a character (and what features I remembered on characters I hadn't really drawn before).
(as it turned out, nobody recognized Shadow without a frown.)
It's actually a really fun /good thing to do with all characters to see how much you can take away from their designs.
