Oh yeah, and pain aside there's just too much of a risk if he started moving around when you're working that close to the spinal chord.

yep lol i hope that the either smells better i joked with the anestesioligist it smelled like autozone starting fluid. he grinned and said. "it's a BIT higher quality than THAT!"

Y'know, I'm not sure, this is a good bit advanced over our anesthetics but I'm not sure how much they'd worry about making it pleasant. I think it probably just has a lot less of a smell.
