H: It was a typical Saturday afternoon in [ERROR: UNAVAILABLE TO INDENTIFY UNKNOWN CONTINENT DUE TO CENTURY MEASUREMENT ODDITIES]. Somewhere deep within the forest is a lake. A brown furred werewolf with a long messy mane and hairbangs is heading there for his weekly saturday swim.

He always wears purple swimming trunks (especially for this ocassion), a black cape, a turquoise leather bag, two bracelets on his wrist and ankle, a depth gauge watch also on his wrist, a scuba knife strapped to his leg and a sun pendant necklace. He also has light brown ring fur patterns on his wrists and ankles, aswell as a white underside. His eyes are blue aswell.

He is looking forward to a nice, relaxing swim beneath the glistening and peacefully still water of the lake, wagging his fluffy tail in excitement.

L: When he arrives at the lake, someone else is also there for once - an anthro lizard, wearing swim trunks of his own and sitting near the water as he fiddles with a strange, high-tech-looking bracelet he's got on one arm.

H: The wolf boy walks over to him. "Hello, my name is Cody! You?"

L: The lizard looks up from his bracelet at the wolf. "Oh, hi! I'm Edgar. I'm just here to test something I've been working on, don't mind me."

H: "Nice to meet you. Cool bracelet by the way! Is this the thing you're working on?" Cody wags his tail.

L: "Yep! I made this a little while ago. If it's working right, it should make it so that I don't need to breathe while it's on! How cool is that?"

H: "Breathe? What do you mean?"

L: "It's a bit complicated, but the bracelet can, on its own, make the same kind of energy that breathing gives. Essentially, you'd be able to hold your breath forever with it on."

H: "I see. So, it's like an airlung but with energy?"

L: "Something like that, yeah. I was about to give it its first real test with a dive, you can join me for that if you want."

H: "Of course. I also have my own 'aqualung' too!" Cody shows off his sun pendant necklace to Edgar, hinting on its power.

L: "Well, that's neat! I'd like to take a good look at it sometime, see if I can learn anything from it. If that's okay with you."

H: "Well, can I demostrate it for you?"

L: "Sure! I get the feeling it'll work a lot different from my bracelet."

H: "Alright, prepare to be amazed!" Cody winks at Edgar as the bipedal 'wolfman' clutches his own sun pendant as it morphs and glows into a crescent moon. Shortly after, his fur and mane begins to glisten and smooth into a sleek composition whilst keeping its messy look. He starts growing fins on his elbows, head and especially his tail, looking like a fish's whilst keeping his now-sleek fur. Another fin grows on his back, this time looking like a dolphin's instead. Three slits then open up on his neck and chest each, giving him shark-like gills. Webbing then begins to grow on his four paws and armpits, stretching and splaying them out to show how rubbery, flexible and stretchy they are. Finally, the claws on his feet retract back into his body, the webbing on his feet then starts thickening until merging all his toes together, his feet then starts to elongate and flatten, becoming more thin and extremely more bendable, sprouting into flipper-like feet in the process (his paw pads flattened into his flippers aswell). He delivers a kick to show his flippaws' extremely flexibility and lack of bones.

He is now an aquatic wolf hybrid... thing in front of Edgar. "Ta-da! What do you think?" He wags his fish tail excitingly.

L: Edgar is stunned for a moment. "..W-wow, um... Heh, now I feel like my bracelet's a little lacking in comparison to that!"

H: "It's alright, I'm sure your bracelet will work just fine as mine. If you want, I can also give you my necklace for a try." Cody clumsily walks towards Edgar, his floppy flipper feet slapping the ground as they are very hard to walk on with these. He pets Edgar's head assuringly.

L: "After I've tested it, sure, we can swap for a while. Not entirely sure my bracelet will be compatible with you, but it should be."

H: "Well, shall we go for a swim together?" Cody dips his flippers into the water as he sits next to him.

L: "Yep! Just one sec..." Edgar reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small injector, which he uses on himself. "The bracelet keeps me from needing to breathe, but it doesn't do anything about the lack of air down there. This'll let me breathe water without it hurting, so I can still talk down there."

H: "I see, a gill injector."

L: "Not really. If I try to rely on it instead of the bracelet, I'll just end up drowning, the injector removes the pain and does nothing else. Without it, I'd be endlessly choking down there, but not really drowning."

H: "Well, I can blow infinite bubbles myself, very big or small ones. They are also very useful in rescuing, heh."

L: "Oh, neat! That must be a thing with your necklace... Looking forward to trying that out later!"

H: "Heh, I'm sure you'll like it as I am." Cody proceeds to walk towards a dock till reaching the end of it, still awkwardly slapping the wood with his boneless webbed flippers for feet. "Anyway, time to dive in!" He immediately hops off the dock like a frog and dives into the lake head first with his arms out, opening up his gills underwater.

L: Edgar turns on his bracelet and follows Cody into the water. He blows out all his air and inhales water, which his body seems perfectly okay with, though he sinks to the bottom, seemingly unable to swim.

H: "Edgar?" Cody spoke worringly as giant bubbles from his mouth muffled his words a little. He swims down to check on Edgar, kicking his fluffy fish tail and paw-shaped webbed fins for feet altogether like a mermaid with his fur glistening and drifting underwater.

L: "Don't worry about me." His voice sounds a bit different with water in his lungs instead of air. "I'm bad at swimming at the best of times, and with water in me, pretty much my only option is to just walk on the bottom."

H: "Can you at least jump underwater?"

L: "Yep, and better than on land, too." Edgar jumps to show that off, getting about half a dozen feet of height before sinking back down.

H: "Nice, heh." Cody stands on the bottom floor of the lake with his thin flippaw feet, his ankle bracelet (which has a red heart printed on it) serving as a weight for sinking. His black cape and long messy mane free-flowing and swaying underwater. "Anyway, how are you feeling now?"

L: "I feel fine so far..." Edgar checks his bracelet. "But if it's not giving enough energy, it might take a while to start being obvious."

H: "Don't worry, I got you covered as a diving partner." Cody blows a big air bubble from his black snout as demostration to Edgar, watching as it floats to the surface.

L: Edgar smiles as he watches it float up. "Yeah, be ready to help me out if something happens. The bracelet's gonna run out of charge at some point, which will hopefully take a while."

H: "Alright, let's go for a stroll, shall we?" Hopping off the ground, Cody proceeds to gracefully swim around the lake while kicking his two fluent flippers and fish tail altogether like a dolphin, bubbles trickling from his snout.

L: Edgar follows Cody by walking on the bottom, his last bubbles finally leaving him in another exhalation as he looks around the aquatic environment.

H: The water feels very nice for the both of them. Sealife surround the duo with beautiful coral reefs and aquatic creatures swimming by. Cody watched as the last bubbles exit Edgar's muzzle. "Umm this might sound worryingly but how does it feel to have water in your lungs?" He catches up to Edgar's speed.

L: "It's... Weird." Edgar rubs his chest. "There's a feeling of coolness in there, and it feels really heavy... It's taking me more effort to breathe this than air does."

H: "Hmm, I see..." The submerged duo are then followed by schools of fish. "Oh hello fishies!" Cody wags his fish tail, flaps his fins and rapidly blows bubbles from his snout excitingly at the fish.

L: "Oh, nice!" Edgar happily looks around at all the fish, reaching out to pet some.

H: Cody takes out a can of fish pellets from his leather bag, he pours the content out on his webbed paws and hands them out to the fishes as they feed from his hand. He giggles and uncontrollably blows more bubbles rapidly as the fish tickle his webbed hands while feeding. He wags his fluffy fish tail happily even more.

L: "Heh, I see you were ready in case something like this happened!"

H: "Yep, every fish can be friends with me!" Cody blubbed cheerfully. He then gives the can to Edgar. "How about you try it too?"

L: "May as well!" Edgar pours some of the fish food into his hand, then holds it out to the fish around him.

H: The fishes then start swarming towards Edgar, swimming around the airless lizard curiously while feeding on the pellets from his scaly hands. Cody giggled more while blowing heart-shaped bubbles from his snout.

L: Edgar laughs at the tickly feelings from all the fish as they eat from his hand.

H: "I see, you already made some new friends, hehe~" Cody joins the fishes, swimming around Edgar playfully.

L: Edgar happily continues handing out food to the fish, jokingly offering some to Cody at one point as well.

H: "Eh, why not." Cody bleps and tries a few pellets considering he currently looks a little 'fishy' afterall. They taste good in his aquatic form.

L: Edgar bursts out laughing at that. "I didn't think you'd actually do it! How's it taste?"

H: "It actually tastes really good in this form!" Cody wags his furry fish tail happily.

L: "Well, can't imagine that'll be the same for me, so I'm not gonna be eating any of this myself."

H: "I understand. Anyway, wanna go for a ride in my arms?"

L: "Sure! I'm probably kind of heavy with all the water in me, but it'd be fun to get around faster!"

H: "Alright!" Cody takes Edgar's scaly hand with his webbed paw as they swim together underwater with the schools of fish, passing through more coral reefs, kelp forests and more sights to see. He continues swimming like a mermaid with his two webbed paw flippers for feet joined together as if he have a mertail instead of legs, bending and curving extremely like cloth as he kicks his legs. He continues blowing heart-shaped bubbles from his snout and closed mouth as he smiles at Edgar.

L: Edgar happily looks around as Cody swims. "This is awesome! I can't swim anywhere NEAR this well on my own!" He kicks his legs to help go faster.

H: "Yep! Anyway umm what was your first time swimming?"

L: "It was only a few months ago. I, um..." Edgar blushes, shyly looking away. "...Never learned to swim as a kid. But I've been trying to make up for it!"

H: "I see, and have you been practicing lately?"

L: "I have, it's just not going all that well. Hopefully I'll eventually get as good as I should be, but it's going slow."

H: "Don't worry, keep on practicing and you'll be able to float underwater like I have. Always take the time you want freely when practicing. If you like, we can also do it here."

L: "Might be hard to practice with how much extra weight is... Hm..." Edgar looks over himself. "Am I a bit more blue than before, or am I just imagining that?" It does seem that a subtle blue tint has appeared on him.

H: "Hm?" Cody then stops swimming and takes a good look at Edgar. Indeed, his scales are starting to look blue than usual, probably due to the lack of oxygen. "Umm you feeling alright?"

L: "I still feel fine... Looks like my body's still using oxygen even though it doesn't really need it right now. After we're done here, I'll look into modifying the bracelet so the user's oxygen usage is entirely stopped while it's on."

H: "I see... You wanna continue using the bracelet here?"

L: "Think this is a good enough test of it for now. May as well get a bit of swimming practice in, if I can get a bubble from you."

H: "Oh, sure!" Cody blows a giant air bubble from his mouth, holding onto it with his webbed paws as he gives it to Edgar.

L: Edgar holds onto the bubble, but stops before he breathes it in. "Oh, right, you said earlier that we could swap my bracelet and your necklace... Still want to do that?"

H: "Hmm, can I show you some neat tricks to do in this form, first?"

L: "Sure, go ahead. I'll keep holding onto the bubble until you're ready."

H: "Alright, this is the first of two". After standing up on the ground with his webbed flippered feet, Cody sits then lays on the ground facing the still surface above. He then proceeds to blow several bubble rings, watching as they float to the surface. He pushes back his long drifting mane for him to see. He also blows a couple more, this time through his black nostrils.

L: "Oh, cool! I've been trying to figure out how to make bubble rings, it's so cool to actually see some!"

H: Cody wags his finned fluffy tail. "Heh, thanks." He sits up. "Anyway, here is the other one." The aquatic wolf hybrid launches towards the surface, swishing his extremely bendable flippaw feet, fluffy fish tail and webbed hands as fast as possible. He then does a dolphin somersault high into the air joyfully before splashing back into the water, now covered in a coat of small bubbles. "What do you think?" He wags his fluffy aquatic tail even more.

L: "Nice one! I'll definitely be giving that a shot soon, but I can't imagine it'll look as good as that one."

H: "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll pull it off well like mine, hehe." Cody blows more heart-shaped bubbles from his muzzle and ears for some reason.

L: Edgar looks up at the ear bubbles, confused... Then gets back on track. "So, ready to swap our stuff?"

H: "Of course, I would love to try out your bracelet" Cody holds his breath as he clutches his moon pendant necklace, turning back into a sun. Right after, his gills then start closing on its own, his bubble sacks diminishing back into just air in his lungs. His fur begins to glisten and shine less. His fins and webbing recede back into his body and his flippery fins shrink back into paw feet, regaining back his bones and claws. His paw pads spring back onto his feet. His vision becomes a little more blurry due to the water

He is now back into his usual wolf self, holding his breath as takes off his sun pendant necklace and gives it to Edgar. Bubbles trickling less from his snout.

L: Edgar exhales as much water as he can, then inhales the bubble, takes off his bracelet, and puts the necklace on. He copies what Cody did with the necklace before, switching it to the moon side, and he undergoes a similar transformation to what Cody had. Gills form on him, his hands become webbed, his feet lengthen into flippers, and fins grow along his back and tail.

He experimentally breathes in, using his gills for the first time as his body starts going back to its normal colors. "This is awesome!" Edgar quickly passes his bracelet to Cody. "Forgot to mention, it'll probably hurt to breathe water with this bracelet..."

H: Cody takes the bracelet and puts it on his wrist, turning it on. However, he's still holding his breath, keeping his muzzle shut because he's afraid of drowning, ever since the first time he discovered his necklace's transformative abilities on that dark and stormy night in the middle of nowhere. He should've thought blowing a bubble respirator/rebreather on his own muzzle before turning back to normal. He gives Edgar a thumbs up despite his face showing signs of worrying...

L: "Maybe we should go back to more shallow water first, that might make this easier for you... Guess I could try swimming you there, huh?"

H: Cody nods, he's already struggling as bubbles flow from his closed mouth.

L: Edgar holds onto Cody and swims up with his new flipper-like feet. He surprises himself with how fast he swims, and in only about 5 seconds the two are at the surface! "Man, I'm SO fast like this!"

H: Cody resurfaces as he gasps for air. "Thanks, I'm not sure if I'm ready to have water on my lungs, it feels scary... By the way, I like your aquatic form, heh." He said nervously.

L: "I like how this looks too!" Edgar takes a few seconds to look himself over now that he doesn't have to worry about Cody. "Anyway, yeah, we don't have to do the bracelet thing right now. I DID bring a backup of that anesthetic shot just in case though, so you'll be able to have breathing water not hurt with that."

H: "Can I test that out too?"

L: "Yeah, that'd be a good idea." Edgar swims back to shore with Cody, then gets out another small injector like he'd used before. "Doesn't matter where on your body you inject it." He holds it out to Cody.

H: "Ok." Cody's a little afraid of needles, but nonetheless he injects the injector onto his arm anyway. He then gives the injector back to Edgar. "Well, here goes nothing..." He takes a deep breath and dives back underwater without holding his breath.

Intially, he reacted in fear as now he can't close his mouth as bubbles rapidly suck the air out of him and water fill his lungs greatly. It was the same exact feeling he feft when he almost drowned on that dark stormy night, right before turning aquatic for the first time. He begins sinking towards the bottom of the lake as he embraces his own foolish death and... nothing happens?

Somehow, despite having been technically 'drowned', he's still alive and is able to breathe well underwater without his own necklace on. "Wow. This is... new.. and traumatizing."

L: Edgar dives down with him to watch. "Yeah, it's... Kind of freaky, being able to breathe water with your lungs. But, the bracelet's doing its thing, you've got nothing to worry about."

H: "I see." Cody looks at the bracelet as the last air bubbles leave his body, it feels strange to breathe underwater without his aquatic form, he can still stand on the ground without his paw feet being flippered, It's a new and surrreal experience for him.

He tries to swim upwards towards the surface as a test but couldn't as gravity pulls him back down because of his waterlogged lungs as he sits down on the ground, looking at the surface above him. "Ok, this is starting to feel like a dream."

L: "That's kind of how it felt for me too. If you want me to swim you somewhere, just point me in the direction of it."

H: "I can go for a walk." Cody stands up and spins underwater, brushing his mane aside. "Let's see how you do well in your aquatic form." Cody starts walking underwater in his normal form with school of fish following and surrounding the duo, the now-waterlogged werewolf tries his best to see anything out of his blurry vision due to the water submerging his eyes.

L: "Alright, sure!" Edgar swims alongside Cody, soon noticing they're having trouble seeing. "Right, you kinda need goggles... Forgot about that, since I don't need them myself."

H: "Actually, you see fine underwater while in your aquatic form."

L: "It did seem that way before with you, but I just naturally don't need goggles, aquatic form or not. It's a fairly common thing for reptiles."

H: "I see. Anyway, can you blow bubbles underwater?" Cody pets some fishes with his paw.

L: "Oh, right, I should try that!" Edgar exhales a few times before figuring out what to do, and he blows a bubble as big as his head! "Sweet, I can do it!"

H: "Nice job!" Cody hops on the bubble, laying on it like a waterbed. "The good thing is that these bubbles never run out, these bubble sacks inside your lungs generate air constantly without stopping, so you can blow as many as you like"

L: Edgar blows another bigger bubble and swims onto it to lay down as well, continually blowing big bubbles and watching them float away.

H: Cody catches one of the bubbles and hugs it tightly. He giggles, wagging his fluffy tail underwater.

L: Edgar laughs as well, and starts trying to make some bubble rings. He gets close a few times, but he never quite manages it.

H: Cody hops on Edgar's bubble and pets his head. "Try putting your tongue in the middle when blowing bubble rings."

L: "Alright, maybe that..." Edgar tries it out, and makes a bubble ring on his first try! "Awesome, there we go!"

H: "Nice, Edgar! You learn so fast, hehe!" Cody claps his paws.

L: "This is a lot easier than I thought it'd be!" Edgar keeps blowing bubble rings, trying to make them bigger each time.

H: "Hehe, yep!" Cody tries hopping through the bubble rings like hoops, his mane drifting around as usual.

L: Edgar watches Cody jump through the rings, happily continuing to blow more for them.

H: Cody continues jumping through more bubble rings like a happy wolf till reaching towards Edgar and booping his muzzle. "Boop!"

L: Edgar laughs out some more bubbles. "Man, I hope I can find one of these necklaces for myself at some point!"

H: "Well, they're actually very rare and hard to find. Me and my grandfather were the only ones who have this so far as I know. I haven't met any other holders of the necklace yet." Cody sits on the bubble besides Edgar.

L: "With my bracelet working so well, I should be able to start looking for one of those fairly soon... Still feeling okay, by the way?"

H: Cody's face is now looking a little purple. "Umm yeah, I'm still feeling ok. I wish you luck on finding another of the necklace. Anyway, can you also do any dolphin somersaults while in this form too?"

L: "Right, wanted to try that!" Edgar hops off the bubble he's been lounging on and quickly swims to the surface, jumping from the water and trying to do a flip, just awkwardly falling back into the water on his back. "This might take a few tries..."

H: "Don't worry, take the time as much as you like when practicing, hehe."

L: "Alright, let me give it a few more..." Edgar keeps jumping out of the water, and eventually he does indeed manage to do a full flip in the air! "There we go, nice!"

H: "Wow, splendid!" Cody claps his paws again, he is very proud of Edgar.

L: "I'm getting used to swimming like this a lot quicker than I expected!" Edgar happily swims around, with a notable improvement in agility from when he'd first started using the necklace.

H: "Wait for me!" Cody hops off the bubble and follows Edgar as he tries to swim back to him.

L: "Right, yeah!" Edgar stays close to Cody while he swims. "Guess we can call this swapping experiment a success, huh?"

H: "Yeah." Cody stops by a kelp forest. "Oh! And have you tried eating kelp or pellets while in this form?"

L: "Forgot to try that... This is gonna be weird." Edgar swims to the kelp, and after a bit of hesitation, he nibbles on it some. "...Huh. This is actually kind of good!"

H: "Yep, heh." He pulls out his can of fish pellets from his leather bag and pours the contents onto his paws, he offers them to Edgar. "Now let's see what you think on these."

L: Edgar picks up a few and puts them in his mouth. "...These are good too! This is so weird!"

H: "I know, but they're one of the benefits of being a fish, hehe." Cody wags his fluffy tail before hugging Edgar underwater. His brown fur feels very warm and comfortable for the aquatic lizard's scales.

L: Edgar hugs Cody back, wagging his tail as well. "Thanks again for letting me borrow your necklace, I've never had this much fun underwater before!"

H: "You're welcome." Cody winked as he then does a handstand underwater on the ground. "Anyway, can we dance underwater together?"

L: "Sure, I bet that'll be fun too! Not really all that good at dancing though..."

H: "Don't worry. It's really simple, follow your own heart and soul to the beat of the music~" Cody takes Edgar's webbed hand, begins playing Fly Me To The Moon

L: Edgar does his best to dance with Cody, having fun with it.

H: Cody allows himself to be carried away by Edgar as he swims with the werewolf to the beat of the music.

L: Over time, Edgar gets more into the dance, and manages to incorporate some fancy swimming into it as well.

H: Cody smiles at Edgar, his face looks a little blue but he's still alive and well. His fur swaying as he dances with Edgar, his long mane and cape drifting from side to side. The duo are surrounded by fishes as usual.

L: Edgar tries not to let Cody's blue face bother him as he continues, knowing full well that they're fine.

H: Eventually, they reach the end of the song as the duo both sink back onto
standing on the ground. "Well, that was a fun day, heh. What do you think of this experiment? What do you think of your new aquatic form?"

L: "I think this whole thing's gone great! And I love being aquatic like this, too! Although, maybe we should get back to shore soon, that bracelet might be getting low on charge by now."

H: "I agree, my head is starting to feel dizzy right now..." Cody holds Edgar's webbed hand tightly.

L: "Then we'd better get moving!" Edgar quickly swims up to the surface with Cody so they can finally both breathe air again.

H: As soon as Cody reaches the surface, he vomits out all the water that was in his lungs like a waterfall before gasping for fresh air refillment. "Thank you, Edgar."

They both get out of the water. Cody dries his own fur by shaking around, briefly puffing into a literal fluffball for a second before combing it back down.

L: As much as he doesn't want it to be over, Edgar switches Cody's necklace back to the sun side, and he reverts to his normal self. "Man, I'm gonna miss being aquatic..." He takes the necklace off and hands it back to Cody.

H: Cody takes back his necklace and wears it, he then turns the bracelet off and gives it back to Edgar. "Don't worry, maybe someday you will become aquatic again, heh. I heard there's a plant for it, it's kinda like my necklace but free trial."

L: "Haha, that's a funny way to describe that! Hope I manage to find some of whatever that is." Edgar puts his bracelet back on.

H: "I wish you luck, heh. They're called Gillyweed and are from the sea. If you like, you can also do research to make an aquatic transformative bracelet, hehe." Cody dries his soggy black cape.

L: "...You know... Maybe I COULD somehow incorporate gillyweed into this bracelet! That'd make it WAY more useful! Alright, I'll track some down and get to work on upgrading this! Thanks!"

H: "That sounds like a nice idea. Anyway, I had so much fun swimming with you, maybe we should probably swim together again sometime, heh." Cody wags his tail happily while licking Edgar's face.

L: Edgar giggles at the lick. "I had a great time too, we should definitely do this again sometime! Bet I'm not gonna be needing to borrow your necklace at that point, too!"

H: "Hehe, anyway, I have to go back home now. Bye, Edgar!" Cody waves bye at the lizard while the sun is setting as he runs off from the forest happily.

L: Edgar waves back and starts heading home, eager to make some modifications to his bracelet.

[RP LOG] The trick or treating special
Last in pool
Edgar (the lizard from my Sinktember drawing for "Energy") heads to a lake to try out his ATP bracelet, and once he's there he happens to find a wolf who's come there to hang out. Edgar finds out pretty quick that his bracelet is nothing compared to a certain necklace that wolf has!

An RP with hugorrr
Cody is their character
