Emily was part of a wealthy family, and was engaged to the love of her life, Conan. But a fatal illness took her from him, setting him on a dark path in the effort to restore her to life. When the threat of Doomsday was looming, Bucky knew they'd need all the help they could get to save the world, so he brought Emily back to life as Experiment 19, using the amnesiac squirrel to coax Conan to the side of the good guys.
She never fully regained all her memories, but she saw how Conan fought to protect her during the battle. She loyally waits for him to return from serving his time in prison for the deeds he committed trying to bring her back.
