Gwendolyn would absolutely LOVE IT if Chucky accompanied her to one of Count Lucas's parties. You all get the irony of her statement in that last panel, right?

I made a little change to this page with the slightly gray background in the other panels. My wife suggested it earlier today to help bring the characters out a little more. I think I'll do that from here on for any panels that don't have a background in them.

She's a healing mage, so her magic isn't so deeply tied to the composition of materials around her. Dr. Selkirk's magic is with potions and such.

Her stating that she wouldn't subject Chucky to lascivious trauma is ironic because in their first meeting, she subjected him to extreme sexual situations and pleasures.

I wasn't so sure on this story line you started a few years ago, pivoting from pilot school/slice of life, to fantasy. Honestly though, I like the story of it, and I like the characters introduced into it. Your art style too has developed a good ways along the way, especially with facial expressions.

Then again, if there are private rooms with lacamagaric mushrooms under chairs, do you think he'd like that? I also recall that those mushrooms loosened his inhibitions.

His reaction would be about how Gwendolyn imagined it. Shocked, afraid, and out of his element. Yes, they would get a private room and a lacamagaric mushroom would loosen him up. But she would feel like she forced him into it.

Once AGAIN for some reason I missed your post (sigh)!!
Regardless I very MUCH agree with your wife on the gray background.
It does make the figures jump out and it's a well known fact that having something
on the blank page even if it's just a neutral tone helps inspiration and creativity.
Also I like the fact that you used a variation of your meme illustration for that
final panel. Their respective outfits do very much compliment them and I'd love
to see more of them in their period clothing colored. :D

Thanks, I'm going to try to do more colored panels on occasion. Lol, you know I didn't even notice that the last panel was a version of their meme. It must be the natural 'Chucky and Gwendolyn together' pose 😄❤️
