Halloween Countdown
no.1: The Crypt Keeper - Tales from the Crypt

With all these mini-countdowns, there still had to be one definitive winner. The one odd man out to take home the glory for the year and who better the the host of horror himself, the Crypt Keeper? After all, someone's gotta show all these movies to us right? True, he may be breaking the rules a bit as he isn't necessarily a movie character, but I just felt he was the perfect book end to this horror fest!

While the Crypt Keeper may be taking home the gold this year, I like to think of all the previous number one's as winners in their own right. Consider it a rapid fire session of characters I felt all deserved top billing in countdowns I may not get to as the years climb on and I run out of characters for these, which is a possibility. I've been doing these for a very long time, just shy of two decades. The unfortunate truth is there will come a day where I won't do these anymore and I want to know that when that happens that I gave it my all and got as many of these done as I possibly could.

Sorry to derail there a bit. I have no intention of stopping anytime soon, but this is just something that's been on my mind and I'm happy that so many of you enjoy these annual countdowns. For awhile I thought this was something I did only for myself, but it's always uplifting to hear how much others like these. This was a tough one to do this year and it's you all that keep me going -- so for that I thank you all.

Sadly, another October has come and gone all too soon, but before the day truly ends make your Halloween the best it can be and as always, stay spooky, my friends!
