Seems Pinkfong, prince of the stars, has come down to Binx's humble world to get up close and personal to experience the lifeforms of this planet first hand. Binx is more than happy to greet the friendly alien in kind. Baby Shark and Hogi are none too happy with this overtly intimate greeting. Make of it what you will. It's open to the watchers interpretation (just like a certain IceAgeChippies likes to say).
The inspiration for this piece is Pinkfong's and Hogi's so called "Friendship badge" (from Pinkfong Wonderstar Episode 1 - Welcome to Wonderville) which shows the two floating and holding hands with their faces almost touching while they drift above a large star in a cloudy nightsky. This piece is meant to poke a bit of fun at the subtext of Pinkfong x Hogi friendship badge that looks like something much deeper is going on. This could easily be a "friendship badge" for Binx and Pinkfong, but this one pushes the envelope even further with an intimate and sweet kiss. Pinkfong is a creature of innocent naivety, prone to follow his impulse in the moment and his impulse was to kiss the handsome blackcat. Lucky for him, Binx was hoping the pretty pink prince would see fit to do just that! It'd be rude to upset a prince, and so Binx responds in kind.
Amazingly this is only the third kiss ever displayed in my gallery. The first being Kyaw and Sven under the Mistletoe, and the second being between Binx and Valentino, the goat from wish. There have been plenty of other close encounters, but while close there is no actual mouth on mouth contact.
A Binxtober piece, but there is also an Inked version for Inktober. Unfortunately it got a little smugged but it's still pretty good. The color version is the final version (digitally enhanced). This took a lot of work, but the final product is probably one of my best color subs to date.
Yes. Pinkfong got a rudimentary backstory in the 1 hour movie "Pinkfong&Baby Shark's Space Adventure", and a rudimentary personality in the television series "Pinkfong Wonderstar".
In the movie Space Adventures, it's established that Pinkfong travels around space to different planets in a pink flying saucer with his "best friend" Baby Shark (that's how he introduces him. Yes they are canonically both boys). As you might know the company's success began with their cover of Baby Shark that often featured Pinkfong joining the sharks underwater with snorkeling gear. Although there is a whole family of sharks, this movie establishes that Pinkfong is friends with Baby Shark which was the yellow one.
As far as I can tell, this movie appears to be the company's first attempt to actually give Pinkfong his own story and this idea that he's an "alien" fox, although the movie is mostly an excuse to tie a bunch of music videos together with a barely coherent narrative. The music videos make up 90% of the movie and could easily be completely separated out from the story. Pinkfong and Babyshark travel to random planets, like "Dino Planet" or a halloween themed "Spooky Planet", as an excuse to go from music number to music number.
This movie may also been the first time Pinkfong started speaking, but since there is barely any story we don't really get a chance to see his personality shine.
Expanding on the foundation from Space Adventure, the television series "Pinkfong Wonderstar" establishes that, yes, in fact, Pinkfong is an alien, and he travels through the galaxy on a magic star called "Star Pio" (as depicted here as the star Binx and Pinkfong are floating on). The Flying Saucer and Baby Shark are gone with no explanation, but when Pinkfong crash lands on a new planet, he introduces himself to Hogi, the green hedgehog, as "Pinkfong from the Planet Staria" who is on a mission to travel through the galaxy to "make new friends". Hogi is a shy and timid character who has nerdy interests like star gazing through his telescope. Hogi is quickly established as what will be Pinkfong's designated best friend for the rest of the series.

In it it's established that Pinkfong can just randomly crash into the roof of your house and instantly decide your his friend.
This series shows Pinkfong to be impulsive, a bit self-absorbed, highly extroverted and enthusiastic, prone to causing some havoc, but quick to try and fix his mistakes to the best of his abilities, cheerful and good natured.
So the ideas here aren't exactly out of whole cloth, but are an extrapolation from his personality and events shown, that shows he's flighty, probably makes and drops friends as he travels around, and is a creature of the moment. He doesn't exactly "flirt" with Hogi, but he is very forward, and just straight up declares Hogi as his "First new Friend" without so much as asking if Hogi wants to be friends. Later on Pinkfongs magic creates a "friendship badge" which seems a bit too "friendly" for someone you just met. Hogi quickly establishes himself as Pinkfongs defacto bestie quickly overshadowing Baby Shark in all media moving forward.
So ... the joke is, Baby Shark feels scorned, and now Hogi in turn, with Pinkfong flirting with his next "Newest Best Friend".
P.S. I just noticed the lyrics at the end of the episode push this whole Pinkfong x Hogi friendship even further even though, again, they just met:
"You and I become one, You and I dream together, traveling into the bright future, we'll always dream together" as Pinkfong and Hogi walk together during the end credits. Jeez Pinkfong ya just met the guy (yes Hogi is also male).

I preferred the gorilla song, but stoped watching after that; I'm just too mature and sophisticated for this pink-fox nonsense (/returns to watching Care Bears; ships Treatheart with Champ hahahahahaha!/ ...wait, did I leave my thought-mic on? Damn-it!). ^^
