This lizard's got a mouth on the end of his tail! He can eat through it, breathe through it, even clumsily talk through it! Because of this oddity of his anatomy, he was captured and experimented on... This one involves binding him up and taping his mouth and nose, forcing him to breathe through his tail, and then locking said tail into a tank of water! What this experiment is supposed to find out is anyone's guess, but the poor lizard's really running out of breath, and water's gonna be rushing up the inside of his tail before much longer...

squirtlerocks07 and I did an RP based on this.

S: a typical day in the research lab, a rather strange lizard with a mouth at the end of its tail, found themselves being tested on, they are binded up, with tape on its mouth and nose, and the tail with the mouth on it put in a tank of water, forcing him to hold his breath, they are rather desperate to breathe and soon someone comes into a view, a leafeon was walking by and noticed the lizard binded up, they immediately walked into the room and looked up at them worringly
"Omg, a-are you ok?!"

L: The lizard quickly shakes his head, struggling in his bindings. Bubbles are streaming from the end of his tail, and he ineffectually tries to get the tape off his face before it's too late.

S: "O-oh no! Don't worry! I'll save you!" the leafeon quickly stands on their hind legs, carefully taking off the tape from the lizard's nose and mouth, before pressing a button to take off the binds on the lizard, then carefully pulls the lizard's tail away from the tank, standing on all fours again
"T-there we go!"

L: The lizard gasps heavily as soon as the tape is taken off him, and he leans on a wall as he catches his breath. "Th-thanks... R-really thought I was gonna drown..."

S: "Your welcome, what happened?? A-are you being tested on?? Ugh! I HATE when people do that... it's always no good"

L: "I-I'm not really sure... I just woke up bound over there, and some people filled that tank and taped my mouth and nose... I think it was some kind of experiment, but I don't know..."

S: "Yikes... I'm so sorry about that, some people can be so cruel...but why would they test you? Is it because of that mouth you have at the end of your tail? Which by the way looks pretty cool"

L: "It's probably because of that, yeah. And thanks, I like it too!" The lizard moves his tail closer to the leafeon so they can get a better look at the mouth on it.

S: "So cool" the leafeon carefully uses his front paws to look at the lizard's tail with the mouth on it, petting it gently "So what could you do with it if I may ask? It looks just like a regular mouth"

L: "I can breathe through it, eat through it..." His normal mouth stays closed as the one on his tail opens. "Annd I can talk ffrough it too, kinda!" His voice sounds different coming from the tail, and he doesn't seem all that good at using it for that.

S: "Hehe, that's pretty cool! I like that! Anyways, let's get you outta here... before they realized your free and everything...these guys are so cruel when it comes to experiments... I'm just a visitor here to see how bad it truly is...and it is bad..."

L: "Yeah, we need to go, and soon... Hopefully you know the way out, 'cause I have no idea..."

S: "Don't worry, I may have just gotten here...but I know where the exit is, just follow me...and try to keep quiet" the leafeon then starts to the lead the lizard away from the testing area, looking around to make sure they are alone

L: The lizard nervously looks around as he follows, holding his tail and fidgeting with it a little. Even the mouth on the end of it looks a little nervous.

S: the leafeon could see how nervous the lizard was, he stands on his hind legs and wraps a paw around the lizard, surprisingly managing to walk on his hind legs very well for someone like him, they are slowly getting closer and closer to the exit

L: Having the leafeon holding him does help the lizard stay calm, though he still worries he and the leafeon are going to end up being seen by someone working here.

S: as the leafeon and lizard get closer and closer to the exit, they are suddenly stopped by two unexpected lizard guards

Lizard guard 1 - "Hey!!! How did the weird lizard escape?! He must have had help from that... hind legged leafeon..."

Leafeon - "Uh oh..."

L: Guard 2: "Crap, if they get out, they're gonna be telling everyone about this place!"

Lizard: "S-stay back! I'm not letting you put me back there!" He holds his tail forward, growling through it and preparing to try to bite either of the guards if they come close.

S: Guard 1 - "Quick! Call for backup!" the Guard then holds up a spear weapon at the lizard and leafeon

the leafeon meanwhile gets ready to use an attack and growls, jumping in front of the lizard to protect them
Leafeon - "Stay away from my friend! He doesn't deserve to get tested on like this!"

L: The other guard quickly pulls out their radio. "We need backup on our position, we've got a breakout!"

The lizard nervously looks at the two guards, hoping they don't end up doing anything. "A-and neither does this leafeon, leave them out of this!"

S: the leafeon goes to bite one of the guards, but almost instantly both the lizard and the leafeon get knocked out by a bigger guard that was behind them...

Guard 1 - "Yes!"

a couple minutes later, both the leafeon and the lizard wake up and find themselves inside an empty tank that's sealed shut, with a few lab workers in there watching them wake up...I guess seeing the leafeon stand on their hind legs for so long like that, is now gonna make them an experiment too!

Leafeon - "W-what happened??"

L: The lizard looks around... "N-no, they've got BOTH of us this time!" He gets up and starts banging on the glass. "Let us out!"

S: "What?!?! Oh no no no!!" the leafeon gets up as well and starts to bang on the glass themselves
"Hey!!! Let us outta here!! What are you doing!?"

but the lab workers ignore them

Lab worker 1 - "Fascinating how a leafeon could stand on their hind legs for so long... now we can test both of their durabilities here"

L: Worker 2: "And that tail mouth on the other one, too... Can't wait to find out more about it!"

The lizard looks around for any possible way out, but he doesn't see any. "I-I hope what they do won't be too bad..."

S: Leafeon - "Y-yeah, me too... I'm pretty scared... and I don't normally get scared that easily!"

Worker 1 - "Alright, let's begin the process... fill up the tank! Let's see how much willingness these two have"

another worker nearby presses a button, and tank that the duo are in start to slowly fill with water, causing leafeon to yelp in fear

Leafeon - "Oh no!! Water...anything but water!"

L: Lizard: "N-not again, no! Don't put me through this again!"

Worker 2: "Not willing at all... Well, not like they have much choice."

S: Worker 1 - "Yep, and this is just 1/3 different liquids were gonna be testing them in, this is just the easy one and if they are already not prepared... then this should be a fascinating thing to watch"

Leafeon - "What?!? Oh boy... ugh, I really dislike being submerged...sometimes I like it but most of the time I don't! I'm really scared!" the leafeon gives the lizard a big hug in fear, then reaches over to touch and pet the lizard's mouth tail, hoping to calm down the little mouth on it as the water fills up halfway already

L: Worker 2: "These liquid experiments have always been my favorite... Bet this'll be fun for us!"

The lizard hugs the leafeon back, helping them stay above the surface. "Th-they're not gonna drown us, w-we just have to hang in there..."

S: Worker 1 - "Yeah! The liquid experiments are always very interesting! So this should be good!"

Leafeon - "I'm still scared tho! I don't think I could hold my breath long with me panicking like this!" the water is already getting closer to the ceiling

L: Lizard: "Neither can I! J-just get yourself as ready as you can!" He starts breathing deeply, hoping that'll keep him from panicking as well.

S: "I don't wanna! I don't wanna!! Ahhh!!" the leafeon eventually just stays to take some deep breathes as well, the water getting dangerously close to the ceiling

Worker 1 - "Any second now..."

L: The lizard raises up his tail to breathe through that as well while he still can. "P-please just don't keep us under all that long!"

Worker 2: "Eh, we'll see..."

S: Worker 1 - "Yep"

Leafeon - "Please just keep us under for like 1 minute max!" pretty soon, it was time for the both of them to go under, so then leafeon gets a last deep breath and holds it before the water rushes over their head and fills to the top

L: The lizard gets his last breath as well, and nervously looks at the leafeon with puffed cheeks. Even the mouth on his tail has its cheeks puffed, little bubbles briefly rising from its lips.

S: the leafeon's cheeks are also puffed up, looking back at the lizard worringly as they let themselves sink to the bottom of the tank to conserve energy, the leafeon also hugs the lizard's mouth tail, as bubbles escapes the leafeon's nose and mouth, looking at the mouth tail's puffed cheeks

L: The lizard makes his tail give the leafeon a little lick on their cheek, hoping that being cute will help them calm down at least a little.

S: the cuteness did seem to help a little, the leafeon gives a small smile at the lick, looking back at the lizard and nods, continuing to hug the tail and even giving a lick back to the mouth tail's puffed cheek and then hug the actual lizard as they sink to the bottom, the leafeon sitting down as their face already turns a tad bit red as they blow some more bubbles, trying to relax as much as possible

Worker 1 - "Ok, that's kinda cute I won't lie... I didn't think these guys could get cute in a situation they are in, heh"

L: Worker 2: "I didn't expect that either... Make sure to note that down."

The lizard ignores the workers talking outside and hugs the leafeon back, starting to blush a little himself.

S: Worker 1 - "Got it"

the leafeon also tries to ignore the workers too, just focusing on hugging the lizard as their face turns more red, blowing bubbles to hopefully help the strain, the leafeon manages to hug both the mouth tail and the lizard, looking up cutely at the lizard as if hopes of doing something more cute to distract them as he whimpers

L: The lizard smiles at the leafeon, getting a little less nervous. He makes his tail smile as well, moving it a little as if it's alive.

S: the leafeon gets a little less nervous too, covering their mouth was a paw as their face turns fully red, but a visible smile still being on their face as they look at the lizard's tail's smile, the leafeon then nuzzles the tail's puffy cheeks with his, then does the same to the lizard, trying everything to stay calm

Worker 1 - "Seems the leafeon isn't the best breath holder here"

L: Worker 2: "Hopefully they're not too far apart in that, that'd make things kind of annoying..."

The lizard covers the leafeon's mouth for them to help out, petting their head with his other hand while he hugs them with his tail. He lets out his first little whine from getting lower on breath, but he's still fairly calm.

S: Worker 1 - "Yeah, it sure would be..."

the leafeon looks up at the lizard with a visible nervous smile, grunting a lot from strain as they slowly turn blue in color, whining as well... he hugs the lizard's tail tightly, just trying to focus his attention on the tail's adorable puffy cheeks

L: The lizard tries to make his tail purr a little, but it sort of seems like it's his first time trying that. It also makes him lose a few bubbles through his tail, so he only does it for a moment. His face is fully red now, but he doesn't cover his mouth, trying his best to keep helping the leafeon stay calm.

S: the leafeon smiles a bit more at the tail's attempt to purr, but as his face turns more blue, he gets really scared to drown, looking desperately at the lizard's face, constant bubbles escaping his nostrils

Worker 1 - "The leafeon ain't gonna last much longer... I don't think these two have equal breath hold times...ugh, that's gonna be soooo annoying"

L: Worker 2: "Yeah, such a pain... We should probably drain the tank soon, don't want them drowning."

The lizard looks over at them and nods, then back to the leafeon. He covers their nostrils as well, no longer petting them, and he tries to turn up the cuteness with his tail instead.

S: "As much as I wanna continue to watch them suffer in there, we got all the research we needed for this part... but let's just keep them in there a bit longer... I'm sure you guys would agree now would ya?"

the leafeon looks at the workers with a cute expression, then turns back to the lizard's tail, smiling a bit more at the cuteness of it, even using a free paw to pet the tail because of how cute it is...for a brief moment or so they forgot about their need for air, but soon their whole face is deeply blue, whining loudly as they are getting close to their limit, desperately and silently begging the workers to let them breathe

L: Worker 2: "Liittle bit longer... Let's wait until that leafeon's turning purple."

The lizard glares at the workers, as he's starting to get a bit blue himself, and while he still tries to help the leafeon, he now has to cover his own mouth. He even covers the one on his tail as both sets of his cheeks expand a little from strain.

S: Leafeon - "Mmm?!"
the leafeon glares at the workers too, his own cheeks expanding as well, it doesn't take long for him to turn purple, even with the lizard still covering his mouth and nose, bubbles still escape from it as he continues to whimper

Worker 1 - "Alright he's purple! Let's drain it now"

L: Worker 2: "Yep, and we'll get ready for the next one..." He hits a button, and the water starts draining from the tank. As soon as the lizard notices that, he holds onto the leafeon and jumps off the bottom, rapidly swimming up to the newly-formed surface with them.

S: eventually they get there and the leafeon gasps heavily for breath, coughing a little too

Leafeon - "Ugh!!! Please, don't submerge us again! I'm begging you!! I've suffered enough already!!" deep down, the leafeon hopes that one of the workers come to their senses and let's them out, but he knows that's not happening

Worker 1 - "Heh heh..."

L: The lizard gasps as well. "E-enough's enough! A-at least give us some time to rest!"

Worker 2: "We have to set up the next part of the test. The time until that's done IS your break."

S: Leafeon - "Ugh, why I outta!!!" the leafeon gets so mad, they use a powerful grass type move to litteraly shatter the whole entire tank because of how mad they were

Worker 1 - "Whoa! What the?!?!"

the leafeon immediately charges at one of the workers and bites them hard, it leaves a big mark on them

L: Worker 2: "AH! G-get help, we're not fighters!"

Lizard: "Woah, sweet!" He gets out of the tank as well, holding his tail like it's a spear. "Stay back or I'm gonna start biting too!"

S: "Ahhh!!! Someone call backup! Again!"

Leafeon - "Bite them buddy! Show them no mercy for what they are doing to us!" the leafeon goes around and bites another worker "Then hurry let's get outta here while we still can!"

L: The lizard gets in a couple bites with his tail before he starts going for an exit. "Come on, we have to leave before their backup gets here!"

S: "Yeah!" together the leafeon and the lizard charge their way to the exit, even getting pasted the security guards this time and running out of the building!

Guard 1 - "They are getting away!!!"

Leafeon - "Were free!!!"

L: Guard 2: "Ugh, they're gonna tell everyone about this, we're gonna get shut down!"

Lizard: "Yep, you've got that right!"

S: "That's right! We're gonna call the cops on ya! Haha! Come on lizard guy! Let's go down to the police station! I know the fastest way there!"

L: Lizard: "Perfect, lead the way!" He follows the leafeon.

S: and so the leafeon and the lizard happily stroll down to the police station to report the lab, which they later get shut down for good after they told the police what happened, now nobody will have to worry about getting captured by these guys ever again!
