aww nice! You got Simon the Sorcerer!?
Xanthe

Never heard of that one! Wikipedia says it's a point and click inspired by Discworld, so I'm definitely gonna have to go grab a copy. xD

Oh for sure! It's a super fun point and click adventure! and in the first game Simon is voiced by Chris Barrie who was Rimmer from Red Dwarf! :D

Freakin' seriosuly?! That's nuts! Not sure how the OCS/ECS version performs vs AGA. Which version did you have? I only have an Amiga 500+ (I never had an AGA system!) & would like to play it on actual hardware if possible. :B

Also, how is their website & store still online? XD

Ah yeah I played it on an IBM PC for the first time like 25 years ago when I was real little, I'm not sure the Amiga version has the voice acting but I am sure it will still be a great time! I can see the appeal of wanting to play it on actual hardware but if that doesn't work out then remember ScummVM exists and is very very awesome! ^^ Also the forest music for this game still lives in my head after all these years ^^ https://youtu.be/ayONEjzrNHY

Sweet! Funny how these old games stick in our heads even after all these years, right? I might just go ahead & get the anniversary edition on Steam, it's only £6! I Checked & the OG Amiga version doesn't have any voice acting, but damn does the soundtrack sound great. ;ω; I listened to both versions of the forest theme out of curiosity & also because I'm obsessed with the sound of Paula tbh, it's just so nostalgic for me (the Amiga was our first computer & we didn't get a Windows PC until the late 90s)! Here's the Amiga one!

Oh cool! Well I hope you enjoy it! I wish I could play it for the first time again ^^ All those old point and click adventure games from the 90s were like my entire childhood and simon is right up there as a favourite :) Let me know how you like it ^^

The amiga version of the forest theme is so upbeat! :D

It's amazing how back than you could have multiple different versions of a game and unlike nowadays, it would actually be different. Inherit The Earth is big one for me cause the soundtrack is completely different from the DoS version.

Never owned an Amiga.  Played the heck out of the Atari 2600 though.
The joys of having a console system as a kid: relatives giving you new games for birthday and Xmas, not knowing you already had those games.
Though now I wish I had kept some of them in their original packaging.

it's so hard not yard-selling your old stuff off. but, realizing 20 years later that you have sold all your nostalgic items can be heartbreaking. My friend had the atari 2600, but from memory, it didn't do very well over here in the UK, so not many games came to release over here, in it's place we had things like the Commodore 64.

I loved my Atari ST, was my first computer and had so much fun with it, used to goto the local "black market" for "copied floppies" back in the day as a kid and just thought that was how you got games for it! I didn't see proper big boxes till I was a teenager and was like "Are these the special editions or something?!" XD Good times!

My cousin had a C64.  When I went to visit him in Chicago I spent most of the time playing games on it.  So many games I had never seen before and they were all really cool.
Later that summer I got this huge box in the mail from my cousin.  He had sent me his Commodore 64 and all the games he had for it since he wasn't playing any of them anymore and had seen how much I liked them.
Looking back, that was a real turning point in my life as it got me interested in computers.  I learned how to write my own games for the Commodore, picked up other games at yard sales and such, and replaced parts of the system whenever they broke.  It was something I kept at for many years until getting my first PC, getting online, finding the fandom, my future roommates, and ultimately getting the heck out of the backwoods town I had lived in all my life.  None of which might have happened if not for that C64.

Oldest gaming system we had was an Atari 2600, and, at the time, literally every game available (there... actually weren't very many). After that, all the next generation consoles began to arrive (starting with the Nes/Famicom), followed soon after by the "bit wars". By the time I'd gotten my first PC, all our old gaming systems (and every game that went with them) had somehow just sort of "vanished" over the years, so that's when I learned about "emulators", which allowed me to revisit all my fondest memories of those early days when a collection of pixels on a screen could somehow magically transport us into a whole other world...

Beautiful, you did a great job, I saved all your videos before they got taken down, it's a shame that you did that but you had your reasons, whatever, don't let it get you down And keep going like this, everyone else is just jealous *hug* :) :)
