Character Sheet for Umizora Eisato ウミゾラエイサト
Character Description
Eisato is a small, cub-sized shark, standing around 120–130 cm tall—roughly the height of a seven-year-old. His sleek purple skin is well-kept, reflecting his disciplined upbringing as a young miko before tragedy reshaped his path. Though his body is small, his voice is anything but quiet. Eisato loves to talk, often grumbling like an old woman about everything from messy rooms to improper rituals. His sharp tongue and fussiness are part of his charm, especially to those who know him well.
He’s deeply religious and values tradition, order, and cleanliness. Stubborn to the core, Eisato insists on doing things the proper way, even if it takes longer. He doesn’t enjoy being around people unless they’ve earned his trust, preferring solitude or the company of those he truly likes. Beneath his strict habits and constant chatter lies a loyal heart, devoted to preserving what he believes in and protecting those he holds dear.
Personality
Eisato is strict, religious, and deeply traditional. He’s tidy and disciplined, trained as a miko from a young age. Though small in stature, he’s stubborn and prefers doing everything the old-fashioned way. He talks a lot and often grumbles like an old woman, especially when things aren’t done properly. Eisato doesn’t enjoy being around people unless he trusts or likes them. He’s not great with kids, but he tries his best—mostly because his partner loves them.
Likes/Dislikes
Eisato values discipline, ritual, and things done properly. He enjoys clean, orderly spaces, correctly performed ceremonies, and traditions preserved without shortcuts. Quiet tea, well-prepared offerings, and evenings spent in structured routine bring him genuine comfort. Though he rarely admits it, Eisato also appreciates being relied upon for his knowledge—centuries of experience have made him proud of doing things the “right” way.
He strongly dislikes being treated like a child or judged for his size, as well as carelessness toward sacred customs. Disorder, loud behavior, and people who ignore tradition quickly irritate him. While he keeps firm control over the monstrous power within him, he dislikes being seen as a monster rather than a priest, and he avoids situations where he must rely on those abilities unnecessarily.
Background/History
Umizora Eisato (ウミゾラエイサト) was once a devoted shrine maiden, raised in strict tradition and trained to serve the sacred with unwavering discipline. His life changed the day a calamity struck—an entity spoken of only as a monster descended upon him, attempting to consume both body and mind. Though the creature tried to overtake him, Eisato’s will proved stronger than anyone expected. He survived the encounter, but the cost was immense: his body ceased to grow, leaving him forever trapped in the form of a seven-year-old, while the monster became permanently fused within him.
The merging did not steal his mind, but it reshaped his existence. Eisato gained control over a body capable of unnatural feats—his jaws able to open far beyond what should be possible, extra mouths forming along his torso, and tentacles emerging from his back at will. These powers set him apart from both priest and beast, making him something entirely new. During that same incident, he encountered the man who would shape the rest of his life: Tadashi. Tadashi had been sent to slay him, believing the shrine maiden lost to corruption. Yet when it became clear that Eisato’s mind remained intact and the monster was under control, fate intervened. Instead of ending his life, Tadashi chose to take him in.
At first, they lived as mentor and student, bound by duty and necessity. But years turned into decades, and decades into centuries. Over two hundred years of shared life slowly deepened their bond into something neither had expected. What began as protection became trust, and trust eventually became love. From that point on, they no longer walked as guardian and survivor, but as partners—growing, enduring, and facing the strange passage of time together.

Body
Eisato is small in stature, his body forever fixed at the size of a seven-year-old despite the centuries he has lived. His short height and softly rounded build give him a chubby, youthful appearance, making him seem far younger than the weight of his experience suggests. Though his expression often carries the seriousness of someone much older, his round cheeks and compact form give him an unexpectedly gentle, almost plush-like presence.
Eisato bears the unmistakable traits of a shark beast, with smooth purple skin that deepens along his limbs and back. Soft yellow markings appear at the end of his tail and across his belly, creating a natural contrast against the darker tones of his body. Yet beneath this youthful exterior lies something far more unsettling—an additional maw hidden along his belly, extra eyes set subtly into his cheeks, and the ability to unfurl tentacles from his back when needed. These features mark the presence of the creature fused to him, lending his small form a quiet, eerie otherworldliness that contrasts sharply with his disciplined demeanor.
Clothing
Eisato’s clothing reflects his strict upbringing and deep devotion to tradition. He is most often seen dressed in garments closely resembling old ceremonial miko attire, worn in the proper, old-fashioned way he insists upon. The layered robes, tied neatly and without excess decoration, emphasize his disciplined nature and reverence for ritual, making his small frame appear more formal and composed than one might expect.
Eisato prefers fabrics in muted shrine colors, carefully maintained and always kept orderly. His outfit is less about personal flair and more about honoring the customs he was raised in, giving him the presence of someone from another era. The traditional garments, paired with his youthful body and unusual features, create a striking contrast—like a relic of the past still walking in the present.
