I also wanted to add background gradients to each new reference to give them an atmospheric feel, how their homeworld looks like. I will do the same for every previous reference too, some will receive a style overhaul to match the overall big picture. Sooner or later I will draw proper art for their homeworlds, though! It’s just… a lot, at the moment, and we’d like to finish developing all our sophonts in the get go. Hope you enjoy the space chickens!!
