It's me as a puppet! As the title suggests, this image was inspired by the works of Gerry Anderson, particularly Fireball XL5, which I also happened to finish watching this morning.

Oh, you'll love this. The MeTV Toons channel that was introduced back in late June of this year has a block from 2 AM to 5 called "Known Strings Attached" that plays all these SuperMarionation shows like Thunder Birds, Super Car, Captain Scarlett, Fireball XL5 and Joe 90

Yes, that's where I was watching it at. Just finished Fireball XL5 this morning.

Cool, I like to have the shows playing on in the background while I do other stuff, but I do love watching the stuff like the Hanna Barbara cartoons like Jetsons, Flintstones, or my personal favorite, Top Cat. and the Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and many others.

Yes, it's a real miracle network after most of the dreck that's been on the air the past few decades, with some sporadic exceptions.

Some you're not too fond of, I take it?

My mother's a bit too fond of things like Ion, StartTV and ID... so basically most things that involve forensics, murders and very bad acting.

Well, I thought you were saying their was stuff on MeTV Toons that you didn't like when you said "sporadic exceptions"

Oh no, I was talking about the past few decades of cable and over-the-air. I like most all of MeTV Toons' content, save maybe Scooby and the content of cartoons that's considered too dated but still historically important (negative racial caricatures and the like).

Yea, I get ya. Not a whole lot on regular cable tv, last thing I watched was Qubo before Scripps removed it.

Never had Qubo beyond NBC's Saturday morning shows, back circa '07-'09, I think?

Yea, it started there and then got its own seperate 24/7 channel. I started watching it in the early to mid 2010s when it had the "Night Owl" block with shows like He-Man, She-Ra, BraveStarr, Filmations GhostBusters back when Universal had a stake in the company (they own those shows by Filmation)

I got to see parts of He-Man and She-Ra, back when MeTV proper was airing them Saturdays.

Huh, did not know they aired the shows on their channel. They should air them on MeTV Toons down the line.

Yeah, I think they were the remnants of a larger block that aired before I got the channel. Eventually they were both replaced by H.R. Pufnstuf and Land Of The Lost, before all kid's content was phased out until The Flintstones, The Jetsons and eventually Toon In With ME. Until just recently Thunderbirds aired early Sunday to close out their Super Sci Fi Saturdays block. I still don't know what replaced it.
