"Luck-based defense"
Swimming through an underwater temple in search of treasure, a lizard found something strange - A fairly big structure with a crank and opening with a little basin below it on the front, a glass ball filled with colored orbs on top. Somehow, for a reason he didn't know, the temple had... A gachapon machine? Ahead was a door he could already tell was locked, and next to the machine was a diagram with a picture of bubbles and one of a key. Next to each of those were what he knew to be numbers in the written language of those that had lived here - dots meaning one, plus-signs meaning ten. They were probabilities... The bubbles one was one in ten, while the key was one in a hundred!
The lizard cranked the machine, the orbs inside floating about before one rolled from the opening. When it came to a rest, it turned into a bubble, which he grabbed and inhaled. Then, he did more cranking, getting out a dozen orbs, two dozen... The novelty was quickly wearing off, the lizard growing frustrated with this extremely strange locking mechanism.
