Basically mittens explaining how she loves the rabbit girl that is taller than him, it's like a 'motherly' gift he's been given. Probably also my reasoning for drawing her, too. I don't blame him for liking Kelly, even as having her as a love interest. A little goof is, I almost always forget to draw her boobs; which is often on accident (or maybe is easier like this too)
