Mild spoilers for future books in the Legend of Ahya series. Read ahead at your own risk:

I always knew at some point, after Taylor becomes a mom, that her cubs would be in some sort of grave peril. Either they be kidnapped or exploited for who they are by some villain or another. It's a deep rooted parental fear and can unlock pure rage and desperation in the mother or father who experiences it. None of the details are set in stone other than that I want Taylor to engage with that sort of fear and use it to fuel her wrath against those who took away her babies. With the powers and abilities she has gained over the course of the series along with Ahya being a melee weapon in and of herself, I wanted to finally unleash the full combat potential Taylor was capable of by the end of the book series. I wanted her to be unrelenting in her assault and truly become a force to be reckoned with and not dive into the Mary Sue territory while I'm at it. I'd say losing her children and fighting to get them back is a hell of a motivator to let loose and not hold anything back. Wouldn't you agree?
This is correct. One of her trigger buttons is harming either her, her friends or her family. If it is a fight for survival, she'll let Ahya maul and maim. However, swallowing and digesting.... that's a whole other story and it really depends on her mood and how wrathful she is, but that occasion is even MORE rare. But in defense of her cubs? I'd say she'd be willing to make an exception. Any people consumed merely gives her more energy/stamina to fuel her rage.

she looks so fucking badass, i understand this feeling because I role-play something like this myself with an old friend of mine, as a mother, losing something you gave birth to only to be stolen by a bunch of thugs who want nothing more to gain criminal population just to increase there army and influence, very interesting this turned out to be. The art shows how much she cares about her children, it's a mother's unending rage to save her children from the grip of the enemy.
