When I first sketched her pose, the robe was open-- I had intended, first and foremost, to titillate. But... somewhere along the way, I ended up doing a somewhat serious exploration of one of my sexiest ladies instead :)

I'm really happy with this piece. I had been struggling with it and ended up shelving it for a couple of months, but that seemed to be the right call, as I've now managed to finish it into something that's worth putting in my gallery at least.

Sometimes, stepping back from a piece can be a big help. I often find that, if I'm struggling, the best thing to do isn't to keep beating my head against the wall, but to go do something else for a bit and let the muse have time to mull it over, as it were.

Anyway. I'm glad the break helped, and it turned out beautifully. I like the more serious mood of the piece. Even the sexiest bunny must sometimes have a morning where all she wants is her coffee, or hot drink of choice, and to have time to just kinda be. Whatever has gotten her in this mood, she still looks lovely, and the purple robe is really pretty on her. Plus the background looks great! I especially like the shrubbery in the foreground and the wind chimes behind her. The little wisp of steam coming up off of her cup is a nice touch as well. The texture on the wooden slats of the deck and the siding of the house looks so good as well. You can all but feel it just by looking at it. Great work all around!

Yeah, I was worried I'd end up abandoning more pieces by trying this method, but it's actually made me more productive in a way. I find myself remembering things that I've paused, and wanting to go back when I'm inspired with no real direction.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Especially about the background! I've been so scared of depicting them for the longest time, but now I'm actually starting to enjoy making them. lol

Seconding what Megan said. I'm all for sexy pictures of pretty bunnies, but it's interesting to see Matilda in a more somber mood. It kinda gives her a little more depth as a character, and makes for a really nice picture, too. The background is so good, especially the greenery and wind chime, and your coloring work on this is very nicely done. Shame you had to struggle with this one, but it turned out great!

Thank you! I really appreciate it :> Sometimes the struggle makes the finish all the sweeter, haha.

The wooden chimes must make such a lovely sound. She looks super cute in purple and with pink slippers. <3

I know it's morning and Tildy needs her batteries charged before the day, but she's still adorable!

I think we've all been there, in those moments when we wished it were a holiday and we could remain in bed all morning. A minister once told me, and I always remembered his words: ''There are no great lives that have been lived. Most lives consist of a lot of boring, shitty days. But what we do have is good moments, and we have to learn to savour those good moments when they come.''

I was going to say something about how her hair isn't long enough for that... and then I realized I somehow confused Romeo and Juliet with Rapunzel. What is wrong with me today. LOL
