OOF!

Looks like she went through the trouble of drawing and coloring this only to remember that ink bleeds. :P
Seems she was writing and editing a poem or something on the back. It has a lot of corrections and words scratched out. I won't attempt translating it here (the gist is the coyote is calling and waiting for something/-one). :P

Well, I said I'd be uploading some of my mother's art, so ...here's some? lol

My mother recently passed, leaving me with hundreds of drawings and poems and ...pocket books. :P
Anyway, the vast majority of her work will die along with she and I---these arts are just the ones I thought to share here.

Now, I know most who received this notification want to see MY art, not someone else's. That's fine, I guess ...again, I'll not upload TOO much of my mother's art---mostly I'll be uploading enough to get the trash I made pushed off my profile pages.

My mother's preferred medium was ink on parchment paper. Sometimes, she'd color with Sharpie and/or with Gel Pens, etc. Her talent, I think, was in her stippling.

A FAIR WARNING:

Unlike me, my mother liked to look at pictures from coloring books and redraw them. Some of the drawings here are many years old and I don't know the inspirations/derivations of their sources. Additionally, my mother took a literal translation to symbols and cultural artifacts. For example, though she was a Christian, she made use of the 'Peace' sign, taking it for what she thought it meant/represented (I won't upload anything of hers that used that symbol).

I have also removed my mother's signature from her work, mostly because she signed everything with her real name. :P
Additionally, my mother (like me) was autistic, so some of her grammar, spelling and poetry may read oddly. ^^

Last, she had a thing for Native American art and symbols, but (so far as I know) she knew nothing about them (I could be wrong, but I know my mother only recently discovered the internet, and even then, she mostly stuck to FaceBook---I don't think she ever visited Wikipedia).
So, if anything of hers that I upload here offends you, know the art and the person who made it came from a good place. Still don't like it and aren't mature enough to look away? Ok, cry to a moderator and not to me---I'll not take any of it down voluntarily (accept that any way you like).

The bleed detracts not one bit from her illustration, if anything it enhances it in my eyes
because it proves it was hand drawn. Also she had a keen eye for color and design.

All hand drawn (with arthritis, too! lol).

There are scribbles of hers going back to 1987, though the majority of what I have was made within the last 20 years or so.
