Shane and Roxie had been hanging out a lot, and being soccer rivals meant that they'd practice plenty against each other. Things would start to get more serious between them, and eventually after both kids spending enough time at the others respective house, a family gathering was planned. Lucy spent the day making some wonderful food for the dinner party, and the girls got a little gussied up for the night. Roxie even wore her favorite leather jacket that Leon had gotten her.
The dinner was a rousing success, with sparkling wine for dinner with the adults talking about some more grown up drinks afterwards. The Brenson's were quite taken with the Boder's, loving hearing how their children were adopted.
"Here's to new friends, new loves, and to more fun times in the future!" Leon said, raising a champagne glass. A rousing cheer was heard around the table from both sides of the family, all while Roxie and Shane eyed each other. It seemed though that Layla had started to have some interest in Evalyn, an interest that was caught by Caithlyn at the end of the table. Stories would be told and interests discovered, some more interesting than others, and when the kids were talking, some more adult than others between the adults.
The dinner was filled with laughs and happiness, and the evening was just getting started. Lucy and Leon very happy to have new friends and seeing Roxie coming out of her shell with Shane around. The night was still young and the rest of the evening untold, but right now, everyone was having a fun evening and it would seem that everyone would want this new friendship to continue as long as possible.

I love how this came out so much, especially all the facial expressions. It's too cute for words honestly. Thank you Shane for collaborating with me, it's always a fun time!
