World Idea: Cats of War

So, for a while, I've had an idea in my head and I haven't gotten around to writing it down until now. There were faction flags I had to create with Flag Creator, and I have to pay a subscription to use them commercially and remove the watermarks. (I edited out the watermarks) But, since it's not yet commercial, I suppose I can post them here. This is a setting called Cats of War.

Origin:
The prologue starts with humanity in World War III. In the midst of the war, an alien armada arrived. Their planet had been lost to a tragedy and all on board those ships were the last of their kind. The aliens defeated mankind, and after doing so, used their technology to turn all of humanity into a feline servitor race; extinction without death.

For many years, the cats served their alien masters, until one day, they revolted. They may not have been human, but, their leftover human ingenuity combined with their new physiology, as well as their knowledge of the layout of Earth, gave them the upper hand and thus, they successfully overthrew the aliens. They then subjected the aliens to the same treatment they put humanity through, and the aliens joined the former humanity in felinehood. The former aliens were worried what their former servitors would do to them, but the former humans welcomed them with open arms, as there was no reason for them to look down upon their own kind, both humanity and that alien race were now extinct, replaced by a much better species, now they were even. They put them through technology that made everyone forget who used to be human and who used to be alien. They then sent the alien ships uncrewed on autopilot into the sun.

There was peace for quite a long while. All prejudices that had been present before in the age of humanity were long gone. However, with this new way of life came new disagreements. Eventually another war broke out, one that devastated the world. Soon, the planet was an ashen wasteland.

Time went on, and the planet was renamed Catris. Eventually, a new order came into play. A group called the High Council created a doctrine that involved an eternal war to keep society going. Each of the councilors represented one of the factions in the Eternal War while not outright leading them.

Era: 51st century

Society:
- Technology focuses on the dieselpunk aesthetic
- Civilians no longer exist. While it is possible to have a non-military job, it is always a side-gig next to military work.
- While it's a mostly grim future, not everyone is unhappy, as you can always have a good time with friends, squad, or family.
- War doesn't completely take up their existence, as there is always time set aside for troops to take a vacation should they receive authorization from their superiors. There are still plenty of attractions and landmarks one can visit. There are also many festivals, shows, and other events from time to time.
- There is a type of relationship that is closer than friendship, but not as close as family: squad. Squadmates are like auxiliary family in this world. They eat together, sleep together, have fun together, bathe together, and if need be, die together. Each squad had their own collective barracks building on the base that squad is assigned to.
- All soldiers in this world live off of a set of rules called The Rules of Engagement. It is the law for everyone to own a copy of this set of rules. The most basic rules include:
 * Thou shalt not surrender in battle. Thou shalt win or die.
 * Thou shalt not defect to any other faction other than thine own.
 * If thou art green, thou shalt not conquer or expand.
 * Thou shalt only question orders if thou art sure thy commander is unfit to give them or giveth orders that defy these rules.
 * Thou shalt not leave thine comrades behind to die, lest they doth giveth their own life to hold back the enemy.
(there's probably more rules, but those ones are all I can come up with right now.

Classes:
Each cat enters military service from age 5, but it is at age 12 that they choose a class. I mostly took inspiration from TF2 classes for them. They are as follows:
- Scout
- Trooper
- Skirmisher
- Heavy
- Officer
- Engineer
- Medic
- Sniper
- Spy

Factions (I'm certain you'll be able to tell which flag represents what faction):

Red Supremacy:
Capital City: Rexton
Head of Government: High Lord
Council Representative: Rubeus (pronounced roo-bee-uhs)
Bio: The Red Supremacy is the most powerful of all the factions, and is the most significant. Despite the reds being the most powerful, their win rate against the blues is still 50:50. They specialize in more brute-force tactics.

Blue Empire:
Capital City: Blandonburg
Head of Government: Emperor
Council Representative: Caeruleus (pronounced cah-rool-ee-uhs)
Bio: The Blue Empire is quite the terrifying war machine of a faction. Interrogating a blue POW is one of the hardest feats known to cat. That's because they themselves are masters of interrogation. Their tactics involve stealth, deception, misdirection, cunning, swiftness, and hit-and-run tactics.

Green Kingdom:
Capital City: Grantopolis
Head of Government: King
Council Representative: Viridis (pronounced vore-ih-duhs)
Bio: Where the Red Supremacy and Blue Empire are predators, the Green Kingdom is but prey. The Rules of Engagement prohibit them from going on the offensive in any way. They do not go to battle, battle comes to them. This is why all of their combat vehicles are bound to tracks around their base. All of their long distance vehicles are unarmed transports.

Yellow Nomads:
Capital City: None
Head of Government: None
Council Representative: Flavus (pronounced flah-vuhs)
Bio: The Yellow Nomads are a faction without a solid government, and live a nomadic lifestyle as mercenaries who take work from Red and Blue, and sometimes even Green, but yellows often find it boring working for Green, as it comes off as boring due to Green only being able to offer defensive jobs.

Black Hunter:
Capital City: None
Head of Government: Himself
Council Representative: Ater (pronounced ah-tair)
Bio: The Black Hunter is a one-cat faction, and the most recent faction. He used to serve the green kingdom, but grew tired of their semi-pacifism and struck out on his own. He knew he couldn't join another faction, so he became his own. He became the only mercenary to not be a yellow. Eventually, the council had no choice but to recognize him as the fifth faction, even going as far as to appoint his own representative on the council.

Cities:
There are only 5 cities on Catris, with three of them being the capitals of Red, Blue, and Green that were listed previously, as for the other two:

Stratagem City:
This city is where the council resides. It lies on one of the intersections of the border between the Red Supremacy, the Blue Empire, and the Green Kingdom, and while cats from all of those factions are present in the city, they are divided up by districts, with each factions respective district being on their side of the border, with yellows being The only ones permitted to travel between districts since they have no territory of their own and thus no district of their own. The council resides in the Citadel, a massive tower structure smack-dab in the middle of the city. The Citadel is heavily guarded and one needs the most special permission to enter lest they face the wrath of the Citadel Guard, who have the most advanced training of anyone on Catris.

Eden: This city is the only place where the war is not present, and cats from all of the factions, Red, Blue, Green, or Yellow, can coexist unsegregated. Even the Black Hunter is welcome in Eden and actually has visited. The only military presence in and right outside Eden is the amount which is necessary.

What I plan to make with this: Primarily a tabletop wargame (i.e. Warhammer), a toyline with action figures and vehicles (i.e. G.I. Joe, M.A.S.K., or Diaclone), an RTS (i.e. Command and Conquer), and a class-based deathmatch game (i.e. Team Fortress). I might make an animated show, but I'm not certain.

Wish me the best of luck! BTW, while typing this, I've been listening to an edit I made of Foo Fighters' Everlong that I use to immerse myself in the world of Cats of War. Have a listen here!: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gQSO64-m_xz7nNAuv4WEFL...

Got any plans of making any stories for this series (like lore) or is it shelved?
