It was once again Adam's Birthday July 9th. Adam set up a special birthday party and invited everyone he knew but no one came. Adam waited until dark to even bother bringing the cake out.
"Surely they must be home by now right?"
The hours drew on as Adam got progressively sadder. At 10pm he cut himself a slice, and lit it in the vain hope maybe someone would see the small light amid the dark room and surprise him. No one came.
"I can't believe it we got an entire multiverse of people who could have possibly been here, yet not one of them cares about me, not even my alternate universe counterparts..."
Slowly he ate his cake until the clock struck midnight and he cried himself to sleep that night.

Author's Notes: Despite this sad story this year's birthday has been my best in a long time so far. I just commissioned this piece earlier in the year to upload now for those who aren't so fortunate as me so they can feel represented. Happy Birthday if it is your birthday.
