Bolis Donovan.

"Everyone has a use, they just haven't discovered it." That was the first thing Darkwitt ever said to Bolis when they first met. Down on his luck after trying to move to the mainland, Bolis was caught attempting to break into Darkwitt's car. Instead of having him arrested, Darkwitt had lunch with him. Talking about his story and taking the time to better understand his ambitions and dreams. Bolis had sought job security, and the chance to make a name for himself. But sadly the only jobs that were on offer for a person of his skill set was retail. He grew bitter, and felt there was little else he could have done. He became a bit of a radical, taking what little opportunities he could to fight against the system that locked him into this lowly career path. Darkwitt offered him a chance at a new form of employment. paying for his training, in exchange for his service and an opportunity to get back at the system.

Not quite realizing Darkwitt was part of a system himself, Bolis agreed. Now working as a company infiltrator. Riling up unions and encouraging worker's rights in various businesses. It's suspicious that his arrest record is so clean, despite spending ample time in jail for rabble rousing. It's suspected by his employers that Bolis might have powerful friends, but they have insufficient evidence as to such.

Bolis has been in my life for well over a decade now. I've had the privilege to meet him in person, to see him find love and get married, even had them stay at my house for a little while. Our lives orbit from time to time, but every time I see him, it's like we didn't miss a beat.
