Hello everyone! It's already that time of year again! OWOP will start on Sunday (0600 UTC, 0100 CDT)! I hope everyone is ready!
If you are participating then this post will be very helpful to you! I hope you have your submission for the event ready to go! If you do, please read the Participant Posting Instructions section for a refresher on what to do!

Participant Posting Instructions
1. Post any day between Sunday (June 30th) and Saturday (July 6th) a. Recommended posting time is between 0600 UTC (0100 CDT) and 2100 UTC (1600 CDT) i. The official close for posting is 2100 UTC (1600 CDT) on Sunday b. If you are in a comm with others, please let them know when to post as well! c. See note about Thursday in Throwback Thursday section. 2. When tagging your post, please include owop (preferred) and/or one_week_one_piece (see the tags on this post) so that people can find your post now and in the future! I will also use this to find your post, but also... a. If you would like to make sure I don't derp (it's happened before!) and catch your post, please send me a PM or DM with a link to your submission
From there, your post will appear in the Featured section of an appropriate showcase either that day, or on a following day. I try to give the feature to only one person, but depending on how many posts there are and when, you may be featured alongside others.

Throwback Thursday
Thursday Showcases are Throwback Showcases, this means:
1. The Featured Section will contain only Features from previous showcases 2. The Found Section will primarily consist of entries from the Found Section of previous showcases; but this may also contain pictures that have not been included in OWOP yet. 3. The Personal Section will primarily contain entries from the Personal Section of previous showcases, or other personal pictures that may not have been included in OWOP yet.

I wanted to participate, but I missed posting during the event!
The intention is to post during the week of the event, however I understand that sometimes things don't go as planned. If you missed posting during the event for whatever reason, you have two options:
1. Post your picture the same way you would during the period of the event before 2100 UTC (1600 CDT) on July 31st. a. If I see your post or you notify me, your post will be featured in an "After-Party" Showcase of the appropriate type on July 31st. 2. Save your picture and wait until next year! This is an annual event so you'll just be ahead of the game for the next one.

Are there any special / themed showcases this year?
Some of you may remember that for OWOP 2022 there were Gris Swimsuit themed showcases. There are no special or themed showcases planned for this year (aside from Throwback Thursday).

What happens if a group picture has others that post late / and you [Lemmy] missed my post?
If you are in a group picture and you posted yours after it was already featured in a showcase, or if I just flopped and missed your post somehow, the original showcase will be updated to include your post and a mention as well.
