S: *its late at night at bowser's castle, everyone was up and doing some duties for Bowser as always, however bowser's son bowser Jr has been laid off easy, not having to do much work or more trying to avoid, that is until bowser called his son to their room, and Bowser Jr was scared of what could come, so he walks over to bowser's room, fidgeting his fingers a bit when he arrives*
"Ugh, what do you want Dad... can't you see I'm trying to relax here?!"
L: "Sorry about that, but this is important. Some maintenance needs to get done in the secret aquarium, and no one aquatic is available. You're the next best fit for it."
S: "Oh come on dad! I don't feel like going swimming! Besides...yknow I'm not the best at that stuff, so how could I be the next "best" huh?" *Bowser Jr rolls his eyes and groans*
L: "I'm not particularly good in water either, but you've always been better at swimming than I am. You don't have to do it alone if you don't want to, you can take your pick of anyone other than me to join you."
S: *Bowser Jr sighs then nods*
"Oh alright... I don't wanna be alone after all... guess I'll take my best friend the red Koopa then, haven't seen him all day tho..."
L: "He's around, I'll have him meet you at the entrance. Here's hoping it all goes well in the end, even if it's gonna be a pain."
S: "Oh its gonna be a pain! I'm likely gonna complain the whole time! Ugh!" *bowser Jr walks away shaking his head*
"Can't believe this!"
*later on, he gets to the entrance towards bowser's secret aquarium*
L: Sure enough, the red koopa is waiting there, looking a bit nervous, though he smiles a little when he sees Bowser Jr. "H-hey, Jr! This, um... This is gonna suck, huh?"
S: "Ugh... yes it will! I didn't plan on taking a swim... but now I gotta do maintenance work underwater?? I'm just a kid! I don't do that well in water, plus...it kinda freaks me out, I'm honestly glad your gonna be with me"
L: "I'm decent enough at swimming, and fairly good at holding my breath... Hopefully we'll be able to get this done with quick, I don't really like the secret aquarium."
S: "Between you and me, I don't either...in fact I still don't know why my dad has to have one...what's the point of it? Besides, I'm a terrible breath holder and swimmer... I basically taught myself how because I didn't wanna deal with my dad's intense swim lessons"
L: "I keep meaning to ask him why the aquarium is a thing... But yeah, he gets a bit brutal with swim lessons. They're at least effective, but still."
S: "Too much for this kid to handle that's for sure...oh well, the worst part is it's that been a good while since I submerged... I mean at least I can see ok down there, but still...the thoughts of being submerged really gets to me sometimes"
L: "Better we just get it over with, I suppose. The sooner it's done, the sooner we can just relax again..."
S: "Good point....ugh, I really don't wanna do this, but guess I've got no choice, let's go then..." *Jr sighs heavily*
L: "At least we'll be together for it, right?" The koopa starts walking to the entrance with Jr.
S: "I suppose so, you are my best friend after all..." *the duo eventually gets to the top of the aquarium, now looking down at the water below*
"Welp, this is it... better take this off so it won't get wet" *Jr takes off his makeshift mask and sets it aside, his fingers trembling with fear*
L: "Lucky I at least don't wear anything, heh... W-we're gonna be fine, even with this being so deep..." The koopa nervously climbs into the aquarium, swimming on the surface.
S: "Aw man...I forgot how deep this aquarium is...mama mia!" *Jr is really scared, but eventually he slowly climbs into the aquarium's waters too, swimming on its surface, his treading motions are at least very effective compared to actually swimming*
L: "Alright, um... Guess we should get ready..." The koopa starts taking deep breaths, both to calm himself down and prepare his lungs.
S: "R-right..." *Jr only takes a couple of deep breathes, his anxiety for going down in this deep aquarium is starting to get to him, but he tries to hide it for the moment*
L: Even when he's physically ready, the koopa hesitates for a few seconds... But he does go through with the dive, holding his breath and going underwater.
S: *Jr however, doesn't dive under at all, looking down at the water's surface as his koopa friend went down, but he can't seem to bring himself to go under, fear all over his face*
L: Once the koopa realizes Jr's not coming, he surfaces again. "Y-yeah, I kind of saw this coming..." He hugs them, hoping it'll help.
S: *Jr hugs his Koopa friend back, still very scared*
"I'm sorry bud, It's just that I've never been in waters this deep... i-i can't just bring myself to go down there! Why must this happen to me!?"
L: "It really sucks that Bowser picked you for this, but I doubt he would have if he had any other option..."
S: "I really hate it... and I don't wanna do this maintenance work down there! Ughhhh!!!! I don't get why he couldn't just pick my other brothers for this job... they can swim fine...but nope, he had to choose me... his own kid who's terrified of submerging in deep areas"
L: "Maybe it's to help toughen you up? Not that that makes it any better... He'll at least be proud of you if you go through with this, I know that for sure."
S: *Jr sighs*
"True, he would be pretty proud of me...but still, I don't think my anxiety could handle this..."
L: "We can't just not do this, and he told me it'd probably be a two-person job... At some point, we're just gonna have to get this done."
S: "N-no! I don't wanna!! I can't!" *Jr was clearly very scared, even his best friend isn't enough to help out*
L: "I'm not really sure what we can do, then..." The koopa sighs, and just hugs them again.
S: *Jr hugs back*
"Wish we had an audience thats looking through the glass door of the aquarium to like cheer us on...that actually might help me in this case, but there's no way that's gonna happen"
L: "An audience...? That'd be neat, but I'm not sure we'd be able to convince Bowser to have that many people leave whatever it is they're doing..."
S: "Your probably right... but then again, he's my dad...and shockingly he cares about me a ton, I'm sure if I could explain the Situation to him he might do it for me"
L: "I suppose it's worth a shot... Alright, if you think it'll help, let's head back and talk to him about it." The koopa climbs back out of the aquarium.
S: "Alright..." *Jr does the same, and together they walk back to bowser's room so they could talk to him*
L: Bowser: "You're back already? Oh, it didn't go well, did it?"
Koopa: "I'm afraid not, sir, Jr was too scared to submerge. But, he has something in mind he thinks will help."
S: "Y-yes dad, um... I was thinking maybe a group of people cheering us on from behind the glass of the aquarium would boost my confidence levels enough to submerge and do the job...c-could you...maybe do that for us?"
L: Bowser thinks to himself for a moment. "...I think I can have that happen. If you two could wait back at the aquarium, I'll see about having maybe... A dozen or so people come by. Does that sound good?"
S: "Yes dad that sounds great! Thank you!" *Jr gives his dad a hug, then walks away back to the aquarium with the koopa*
L: Koopa: "That worked out pretty well! Now we've just got to hang out until our audience shows up."
S: "Yep!"
*about 25 minutes later... it seems a group of folks has shown up behind the aquarium glass*
L: "Ah, here they are! Hi guys!" He waves to the group.
S: "Hi!!"
*the crowd looks at the duo and cheers, giving them words of encouragement, the crowd seems to consist of hammer bros, Goombas, and even a lakitu*
L: "Alright Jr, how do you feel with all these guys here?"
S: "Well, i definitely feel better knowing they believe in us"
L: "Hopefully that'll be enough that you're okay with diving now..." The koopa starts climbing into the aquarium again.
S: "I hope so too..." *Jr also climbs into the aquarium slowly... hoping that the crowds cheers will be enough*
L: The crowd applauds as Jr gets in the water.
Koopa: "Alright, let's not let them down..." He starts taking deep breaths.
S: "Right..." *Jr is a bit more calm this time knowing that crowd will cheer for him, taking some deep breathes to prepare his little lungs for the aquatic journey*
L: Once the koopa's ready, he goes underwater, hoping that Jr will do the same.
The crowd watches Jr prepare, quietly anticipating his dive.
S: *Jr was very very hesitant to go under just like last time, but hearing the crowd cheer and chant his name... he takes a final deep breath, plugs his little nose and finally submerges underwater*
L: Even underwater, Jr can hear the crowd erupt into cheering and applause at him finally having gone under. The koopa smiles at him as well, giving a thumbs-up.
S: *Jr smiles back a bit at hearing the crowd cheer, trying to keep calm as he swims down with Koopa, little do they know, the maintenance work is at the bottom of this deep aquarium*
L: The koopa looks around for whatever it is that needs work done, simply having been told he'd know it when he saw it. He gulps when he realizes it's all the way at the bottom...
S: *when Jr sees that the problem is at the bottom, he yelps out bubbles and starts to swim back to the surface in fear*
L: The koopa gives a bubbly sigh as he starts following Jr up, and the crowd is clearly disappointed as well.
S: *Jr gasps at the surface, kinda heavily as his face was already red*
"Oh heck no! I didn't think the problem was gonna be at the bottom of this deep aquarium! I'm not gonna survive down there! I told them I was a bad breath holder!"
L: "Bowser really should've told us that... I'm fairly good at holding my breath, so maybe I could give you air down there?"
S: "It doesn't matter Koopa, it's too deep even for me...I can't do this..."
L: Koopa hugs Jr again. After a few seconds, someone in the crowd starts chanting Jr's name. Gradually, more of them start joining in, until the whole crowd is doing it.
S: "Ohhhh....this is getting hard now...it's far too deep for me! I can't handle those depths!"
L: Koopa: "Come on, you can do it! Everyone here believes in you!"
S: *Jr now whimpers and looks down at the water below*
"I...can't!"
L: "I know you can! It's rough, yeah, but we've all been through worse in the past than just going deep underwater!"
S: "Yeah but this is different! I'm not used to doing this kind of stuff... it's too rough"
L: "Well, you're never gonna get used to it if you don't even try! Maybe we could just swim to the bottom and back up, so you'll have an idea of it?"
S: "No Koopa, I don't wanna...I can't handle this anymore! Even a crowd cheering isn't gonna get me down to those deep depths!"
L: Koopa sighs. "Bowser's gonna be mad if we don't do this, especially after getting so many people to cheer you on..."
S: "I know I know... I just thought my fears would melt away easily from the cheers, but I was wrong..." *Jr sighs sadly* "What do I do..."
L: "I'm... Really not sure what to do either..." The chanting of Jr's name trails off as the crowd starts to think the dive isn't going to happen.
S: "I'm sorry but I'm not doing this..." *Jr climbs out of the aquarium, taking a seat beside it as he starts crying a bit*
L: Koopa leaves the aquarium too, sitting next to Jr and hugging them. "We'll figure something out... It might be a while, but we will."
S: *Jr looks up at his koopa friend with teary eyes... he shakes his head*
"I don't think it's gonna happen...I'm just too scared, not even a crowd cheering for me is helping..." *Jr looks down at the crowd below* "Im so sorry guys..."
L: Someone in the crowd says "We were told to tell Bowser if you didn't end up going through with this..."
S: "Oh come on don't tell on me! That's just gonna make my dad more upset...least I hope not honestly... ughhhh!!!" *Jr gets frustrated and sad at the same time... the crowd of people alone isn't helping his case, but secretly...Jr likes pokemon, his all time favorite is the loveable mew, but he hasn't told anyone that and nobody knows, well except his best friend, if he had mew... Jr might finally pull this off*
L: Koopa: "Maybe... Hm... Think I know someone that might help. Could you wait here a little while?"
S: "What are you up to..." *Jr looks at the koopa curiously, wondering what the koopa is gonna do, and fun fact...Jr has never actually met mew in real life*
L: "Just trust me on this, I promise you're gonna like it." The koopa gets up and leaves. A few minutes later, he returns, with Mew floating next to him!
S: *Jr's eyes go wide at his favorite pokemon mew floating right next to his friend*
"W-w-wha?!!?! Is this real life?!" *he rubs his eyes, making sure he's not dreaming*
L: Mew: "Yep, this is real! I've been told you're a fan of me...~" Mew floats over to Jr.
Koopa: "Mew just happens to be a friend of mine, figured I'd call in a favor with them."
S: *Jr looks at his koopa friend in disbelief*
"How come you never told me that!? Omg..." *he turns back to mew* "Y-y-you...have no idea how much I really like you... your so adorable!"
L: The koopa shrugs. "Figured I'd save that for something special."
Mew: "You're pretty cute too! Your friend's told me about you before, it's good to finally meet you!"
S: *Jr blushes heavily at his favorite pokemon calling him cute, and smiles happily*
"Its really good to meet you too mew!"
L: Mew: "So... I've been told you need some convincing to have the courage to do some kind of job in that aquarium there."
S: *Jr sighs*
"Yeah...me and my koopa friend were assigned do this task, its at the bottom of this very deep aquarium, and I'm very scared to go all the way down there"
L: Koopa: "Haven't been able to convince him to go all the way down there."
Mew: "I can come with you if that'll help!"
S: "...are you sure you'll be able to do that for me? I didn't think you could handle water honestly..."
L: Mew: "I'm decent at underwater stuff, and I've been to the bottom of that aquarium before, so I'll be fine. Plus, I like swimming!"
S: *Jr sighs again*
"Mew combined with the crowds cheers might just be enough to help... I didn't think a real mew would be here right now, im still so shocked!" *Jr reaches up with his tiny arms, wanting to give mew a hug*
L: Mew floats down to hug Jr, the crowd applauding as the two hug.
Koopa: "Really glad we're gonna finally be able to do this!"
S: *Jr happily hugs mew back, he's never ever felt this happy*
"I'm ready this time..."
L: The koopa is clearly relieved at that. "It's gonna be good to get this over with..." He climbs back into the aquarium.
Mew: "That's the spirit, Jr! Come on, let's go get ready with your friend."
S: "Ok..." *still nervous, Jr climbs back into the aquarium, staring at the waters below him*
L: Mew follows them in. "Don't worry, I'll stay right next to you the whole time." He and the koopa start taking deep breaths.
S: *Jr tries to brave this time, taking deep breathes too*
"Thank you..."
L: The koopa eventually holds his breath and dives under, and once again, the crowd starts chanting Jr's name. Mew stays with Jr, wanting to go under at the same time they do.
S: *once again Jr was very hesitate to go back under*
"Mew....I don't know about this...."
L: Mew: "It's gonna be alright, your friend and I will do everything we can if something happens."
Seeing that Jr is hesitating again, the koopa resurfaces. "Are you okay?"
S: "It's just that im hesitating again... this is just so hard for me..." *Jr looks at both mew and koopa with a cute innocent look*
L: Mew: "How about we all go under at the same time? Maybe that'll help you some."
Koopa: "I feel like that'd be a good idea!"
S: "Ok...willing to try anything to help..."
L: Mew: "Alright, we'll give it a shot." After everyone does some more deep breathing, Mew does a countdown. "3...2...1..." He and the koopa both dive underwater, hoping that Jr will be doing the same.
S: "Come on!!!" *Jr with a determined look took a final deep breath, plugged his nose again and submerged underwater at the same time as the others*
L: The crowd cheers even more than the first time as Jr finally goes underwater again. Mew and the koopa both smile at him, and Mew gives him a hug.
S: *Jr is whimpering slightly at being submerged again but tries to stay brave, hugging mew back with his free arm*
L: The koopa points toward the bottom of the aquarium, wanting to get started on swimming there and getting the work done. Neither he nor Mew go anywhere yet, planning on staying with Jr the whole time.
S: *Jr wants to feel brave, really brave...so he nods his head, then with a blush on his face he holds mew's tiny little hand and then he takes his hand off his nose and holds his friend's hand, wanting to really make sure to they stick together throughout the journey*
L: Mew and the koopa both swim deeper with Jr, heading toward the section of the aquarium that needs fixing.
S: *Jr whimpers a bit more loudly as he starting to get scared the deeper down they dive, blowing out some bubbles*
L: Mew pats Jr's shoulder and gives them a reassuring smile as the group continues deeper.
S: *the gentle pat from mew was enough to calm him down, smiling back a bit at the mew as his cheeks slightly puff up, he nuzzles the mew and his koopa friend as the group was getting closer to the bottom now...*
L: Soon enough, the group reaches the bottom of the aquarium, right next to the damaged part. The koopa lets himself sink to stand on the bottom instead of swimming.
S: *Jr also sinks down to stand on the bottom too, his face is already completely red tho, and he gets rather nervous*
L: Mew stays next to Jr, as he doesn't seem to know anything about maintenance and needs to be ready to give Jr air if he needs to, while the koopa points to what needs to be fixed first.
S: *Jr nods and grunts slightly from the need for air, worry all over his face as he look at what needs fixed*
L: The koopa gets to work, even as a slight blush starts forming on their face. Mew gestures to his mouth while looking at Jr, asking if they want air.
S: *as Jr helps out the koopa and looks up at mew, he immediately nods his head, he definitely wanted air and didn't wanna drown so soon*
L: With a blush from a bit of embarrassment, Mew kisses Jr to give him some air. There's an "Aww..." from the crowd as he does so.
S: *Jr blushes happily and kisses mew back, his face returns to normal...that kiss made Jr feel extra brave now*
L: Mew pats Jr's shoulder after the kiss, staying next to them as the work continues.
S: *he continues to work on the problem*
L: Over time, the koopa's blush gradually gets bigger, and one appears on Mew as well. The koopa just keeps working, trying to ignore his need for air.
S: *Jr starts getting really desperate, he stops working and looks up pleasingly at the far surface above him, whimpering*
L: Noticing Jr getting restless, the koopa pauses to give them a hug, Mew joining in as well.
S: *Jr shakes his head, he can't handle the amount of anxiety he's feeling about being down here so long*
L: With a nod, the two start swimming up with Jr, each having a mix of happiness that they'll get to breathe and disappointment that Jr's too nervous again.
S: *all 3 of them swim up together, the work down there was half way complete, it took a while but eventually the trio surfaced, Jr gasping in air*
L: Mew and the koopa gasp as well, the latter a bit more heavily.
Koopa: "At least we're about halfway there..."
Mew: "Even me being here isn't enough any more?"
S: "I don't know, I'm still very scared! I don't know why!"
"This is just so difficult for me...."
L: Mew: "It's alright, we'll figure something out..."
Koopa: "We got you down there before, we can do it again."
S: *Jr whimpers*
"Cant I just end this right now?! I don't wanna do this anymore! I don't wanna go back underwater!"
L: Koopa: "I wish you didn't have to, but I'm still going to need your help with what's left to do down there..."
Mew: "Yeah, I don't know a thing about what you guys were doing..."
S: "Ughhhhhhh!!!!! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!!!" *he frowns*
L: Koopa: "I, um... Don't really have any ideas on how to help..."
Mew: "Hang on, when I gave you that air kiss earlier, I felt you relax some... Might've just been from getting to breathe, but..." After a moment of hesitation, Mew gives Jr a quick kiss.
S: *Jr immediately blushes and returns the kiss happily*
"I think...that helps!"
L: Mew: "Then, as kinda weird as it feels, that's what we'll do to keep you calm while we're down there!"
Koopa: "Hopefully it won't end up TOO distracting."
S: "Occasionally kissing? Well I don't mind that at all... I do really like you mew, I guess we can try that then... see how it goes"
L: Mew: "Alright, let's get ready again, hopefully for the last time!" He and the koopa start breathing deeply again.
S: *Jr hugs mew and start his deep breathing too, hoping this will be the last time*
L: After a little while, Mew does another countdown just in case it'll help again, and he and the koopa dive at the end of it.
S: *Jr took a deep breath and held it, still hugging mew as they dive back down*
L: There's another round of applause at the dive, and this time Mew and the koopa don't hesitate in starting to swim deeper with Jr.
S: *Jr is getting scared but is a lot more calmer*
L: Mew keeps an eye on Jr as the group keeps going down, ready to give them another kiss if needed.
S: *as they get close to the bottom of the aquarium again, Jr let's out some bubbles in fear, his cheeks already red*
L: Motioning for the koopa to stop, Mew pauses to give Jr a kiss, hoping it'll be just as helpful as before.
S: *and it does actually help him, hes a lot more calmer as he returns the kiss*
L: After that, Mew smiles at Jr, not quite as embarrassed about kissing him this time. They resume swimming down, soon returning to the bottom.
S: *Jr smiles a little at being back and immediately returns to work*
L: The koopa resumes their work as well, with Mew watching him and Jr.
S: *Jr's cheeks puff up with air as he tries to pay attention to the work rather then the anxiety he's currently feeling*
L: Mew continues to keep an eye on Jr as they and the koopa work, ready to give them air or just a kiss whenever they need either.
S: *as Jr keeps working, his anxiety keeps building little by little and he stops working suddenly, wanting another kiss from mew*
L: Already understanding what to do, Mew moves in to kiss Jr, taking the opportunity to give him some air as well in case he needs some.
S: *Jr hugged the mew and kissed back, getting the air he needed as well, he smiles a tad and continues to work*
L: The work is going a bit faster than before, since Jr isn't as nervous as he'd been. Just as the koopa is starting to blush a little, it's pretty much done!
S: *Jr happily bubbles out some air as they see the work done, now knowing it's over and a slight blush on his face he was ready to leave*
L: Mew gives Jr a hug as the koopa smiles at the two, before they all start swimming back up together.
S: *Jr swims up a little faster then everyone else, wanting to get outta here asap*
L: Mew and the koopa follow him up, everyone getting to the surface without issue and catching their breath.
S: *Jr catches his breath too, then puts his fist into the air triumphantly and said*
"YES! I DID IT!!!!"
L: The crowd cheers for Jr, and Mew and the koopa both hug him again.
Mew: "I knew you could do it!"
Koopa: "Just took a bit of time for us to figure out how!"
S: "It's finally all done! Now I gotta tell my dad that we're all done too!"
L: Koopa: "I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that we managed it after all!"
Mew: "I'll come with you guys, need to let him know I was involved."
S: "Okie!!" *Jr quickly climbs out of the aquarium, grabs his makeshift mask and puts it back on, then runs to bowser's room*
L: When they all return to Bowser's room, he smiles as he notices them. "You all seem happy, did it go better?"
Koopa: "Just the audience wasn't quite enough, but Mew managed to make the difference!"
Mew: "Hope you don't mind me having joined in on that!"
S: "I did it dad! I fixed the problem in the aquarium finally! Ugh, going underwater is hard work in its self!"
L: Bowser: "Atta boy! I knew you had it in you! Hopefully now you'll at least be a little more comfortable with water, right?"
S: "I mean, a little bit...but not by much... I still need to work on holding my breath longer..."
L: Bowser: "Get some practice with holding your breath, that'll help you keep calm underwater."
Mew: "If it's alright with you, can I help him with that?"
Bowser: "I don't see why not, sure."
S: "Awww thanks mew, although right now I need a break...my lungs are sore and I'm super tired..."
L: Koopa: "Yeah, you've been through kind of a lot... Plus, it's still pretty late! We've gotta get to bed!"
Bowser: "Go ahead, all of you. Haven't got anything else I need doing right now."
S: *...but little do they know, there's gonna be another watery problem for them to deal with soon...*
"Ok dad! Thanks!"
L: Bowser: "Goodnight, everyone! I'm probably gonna be heading to bed myself soon..."
Koopa: "Goodnight, sir! And you too, Jr!" Everyone leaves Bowser's room.
S: "Goodnight koopa!" *as koopa left to go to his room, Jr quietly approaches mew*
"Hey mew, would you like to sleep with me tonight?" *he asked, blushing*
L: Mew: "Yeah, sure! I wouldn't mind that!"
S: "Thanks!" *Jr hugs mew then leads them to his room, getting onto his bed and yawning*
*however little does he know, aquatic work underwater will have to be done even when it's 2am in the morning, and Jr is the only one capable of doing it... and yes even when Jr is so tired he will have to suffer again*
L: He and Mew fall asleep together... Eventually, Jr is awoken by Bowser. "Hey, um... Sorry to wake you, but something's come up..."
S: *Jr yawns and slowly looks at bowser*
"What is it dad? It's still late, why are you waking me up?"
L: "Well, there's..." He sighs. "There's another underwater thing I need you to take care of."
S: *Jr's eyes immediately go wide*
"WHAT?!?! No...no no no no...not another one!!! What is it this time?! Did we not proper fix the dang aquarium!?"
L: Jr's outburst immediately startles Mew awake. "Ah! Wh-what's going on?"
Bowser: "Oh, sorry, should've had Jr leave the room first." He looks at Jr again. "You did do it right, it's something else..."
S: "Ugh! What is it this time?! And why can't this wait till morning at least?!"
L: "You know that lagoon of mine, right? Found out a few minutes ago that the pipe that leads to it is damaged, and that's kind of an important one. Plus, the fish in the lagoon need feeding."
S: "....are you serious right now?! I'm gonna have to be submerged twice in one day??!?! No...I'm sorry dad but I don't wanna do do that! I've suffered through enough already!"
L: "I know, and I wouldn't have asked you if there was anyone else that could do it. It has to be you."
S: "Whyyyyyy!!!!!!" *Jr looks at mew with a frustrated expression* "I don't wannnnnaaaaa!!!!!"
L: Mew: "I'll at least still come with you if I can."
Bowser: "I don't see a reason why you couldn't, so I'm fine with it."
S: "Ughhh!!!! I'm not doing it! And that's final!" *Jr growls a bit and tears up in frustration*
L: Bowser sighs. "Look, this is something that has to be done, and it can't wait. I hate to get forceful with you, but you're not giving me much choice. Please at least don't make me carry you there..."
S: "Dad...don't carry me in front of my future date...uhhh i-i-i mean mew!" *Jr blushes heavily after he said that, turning his head away from Bowser and mew*
L: Mew blushes quite a bit at having been called that. "...Date...?"
Bowser: "Then please, just get up and go to the lagoon."
S: *Jr rolls his eyes*
"UGHHHHH!!!!! FINE!!!! I'll do it.... but I won't like it" *Jr gets up, still blushing after calling mew his date*
L: Bowser: "Thank you... I don't expect you to enjoy this. Again, I'm sorry. At least you'll have a friend with you, right?"
Mew: "Yep, I'll try to help him in the same way I did earlier."
S: "Heh heh...wait a minute... if I have to do this, then my koopa friend has to as well! He's not gonna get away scot free!"
L: Mew: "That's probably a good idea, it took both of us last time."
Bowser: "If it'll help, I'll go get him. Like before, I'll have him meet you two there."
S: "Alright.... well mew, let's go then" *Jr sighs sadly and makes his way to the pipe that leads to bowser's lagoon with mew*
L: Mew: "So... I'm your future date, huh? I think I'd be down for that..."
S: "Sorry if I just said that randomly but I do truly like you and I would love to go on a date with you sometime" *Jr smiles a bit and they make it to the pipe*
L: Mew: "Yeah, we should do that sometime!"
When they get to the pipe that needs fixing, the koopa is there again. "Hey guys. This... REALLY sucks, huh?"
S: "Sucks doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling right now, I really didn't wanna do this in the middle of the night and submerge again! Ugh!"
L: Koopa: "I know, it couldn't even at least be during the day!"
Mew: "Hopefully it'll get done with quick, then we can get back to bed."
S: "Yeah I guess so" *Jr looks at the pipe* "Guess this is what we have to do..."
L: Mew: "Yep... At least it's not as deep this time..."
Koopa: "Hopefully those fish aren't gonna bother us too much."
S: "Yeah..." *Jr looked scared again* "I really don't wanna deal with water again..."
L: Koopa: "Neither do I, I want to go to bed. But, orders are orders..."
Mew: "Even having chosen this, I'm not looking forward to it..."
S: "Ugh this is gonna be worst!! And besides I hate going through pipes..."
L: Mew: "I at least kinda like the pipes, but I can see why someone wouldn't."
Koopa: "As much as I don't want to do this, just talking about it isn't going to really help..."
S: "You've got a point, I'm just delaying the inevitable..." *Jr sighs*
L: Koopa: "Yeah, better to just get on with it..."
Mew: "We'll be right with you the whole time." He and the koopa enter the water.
S: *but when they do, Jr starts to sneak away from the scene, not wanting to deal with this*
L: Mew: "Alright Jr, let's... Wait, what?" He quickly looks around for Jr, finding them before too long and floating over to them. "Where exactly are you going?"
S: *Jr stops walking and freezes before turning to mew*
"Uhhhh heh heh.... darn it..." *he shakes his head*
L: "You know Bowser's gonna be really mad if this doesn't get done... It's probably gonna end up being even worse than just doing the work."
S: "Ugh!!! Come on! I really don't wanna go in water again! This so ridiculous! But at the same time I don't want my dad to be mad..."
L: "Plus, he asked us to feed the fish too, and that especially can't just not be done, right?"
S: "I mean I guess, but it's not like I care about his fish....whatever" *Jr returned to the water and slowly hopped in, swimming on its surface*
L: Mew floats into the water as well.
Koopa: "Glad we're gonna get this over with soon... Well, I hope we will, at least."
Mew: "Same here... We're probably not gonna be getting an audience again..."
S: "Great...just great" *Jr rolls his eyes, then looks down at the water below worringly*
L: Mew and the koopa both hug Jr.
Mew: "It's gonna be fine, just like last time."
Koopa: "As soon as we get everything done here, we'll let Bowser know, and we can finally put this night behind us."
S: "I guess, but ugh...I don't wanna hold my breath underwater again! My lungs are still sore from last time!"
L: Koopa: "It's at least not as far this time, and we're still going to be giving you air whenever you need it."
Mew: "Yep, I don't mind doing that for you."
S: "I guess kissing mew again would be nice...but I'm still not happy about it!"
L: Mew: "I'll see about convincing Bowser to not force you to do water-related stuff in the future once we're done here."
Koopa: "Same here, I hate seeing you like this..."
S: "Please, do whatever you have to do to not force me underwater... I hate it!" *Jr rolls his eyes again and groans*
L: Koopa: "We've still got to do this one, but we'll do everything we can to make sure this'll be the last time."
Mew: "We should probably get on with this at some point..."
S: "Alright alright! Fine, let's just go" *Jr takes some deep breathes to prepare*
L: Mew and the koopa start doing some deep breathing as well.
S: *Jr keeps deeply breathing for a bit, then it was time to submerge... mew and koopa went under, however as soon as they do, Jr took that moment to run away, jumping out of the water and running back to the castle, managing to get there before the koopa and mew notice him not there, apparently this was Jr's plan the whole time*
L: Eventually, Mew and the koopa can be heard calling for Jr, still fairly distant for now.
S: *but there was no answer, Jr has already gone inside the castle and back up into his bedroom*
"Phew, home free"
L: After a little while, the door to Jr's room opens, Bowser looking inside. He looks a bit worried at first, then frustrated. "There you are! Your friends told me you went missing!"
S: "Ugh darn it dad! You weren't supposed to come in here!"
L: "And you weren't supposed to be back here so soon. People could get hurt if you don't do maintenance, does that not bother you?"
S: "It wouldn't bother me so much if said maintenance wasn't underwater, I've made my decision dad, I'm not going out there again! I refuse! And nothing you can say or do will change my mind"
L: "...How about this, then; I know how much Mew means to you. If you don't get this job done, I'll be forbidding you from talking to him again."
S: *Jr gasps*
"Dad you wouldn't do that to your own son!! That's crazy you can't do that! I love mew more then anyone else!"
L: "Do you want to test whether I'll make good on that, or do you want to do what I've already told you to do?"
S: "No...i-i find that too hard to believe, you can't ban mew for something like this! I refuse to believe this!"
L: "He certainly wouldn't take it too well either, and I'd be sure to let him know exactly what the reason he couldn't be with you any more would be..."
S: "No!!! Ugh!! FINE!!! I'll do the job, for real... I don't wanna lose mew already!"
L: "There you go. Make sure the job's done before you come back this time, okay?"
S: "Yes dad..." *Jr rolls his eyes and makes his way back to the lagoon where the koopa and mew were waiting*
L: Both of them are relieved to see Jr.
Mew: "We were worried about you, Jr!"
Koopa: "Where did you even go?"
S: "I went back to the castle to try and avoid this thing again, but my dad caught me...and even threatened that if I don't do this job, I won't ever talk to mew ever again! And I cannot let that happen! So here I am again...for real this time I'm gonna do this"
L: Mew: "O-oh jeez, that's a pretty good reason to come back!"
Koopa: "Yeah, better we don't find out whether he's bluffing..."
S: "I'm just not even gonna think about it" *Jr enters the water* "Let's just do this...I don't wanna lose my future date!"
L: Mew and the koopa once again get in the water.
Mew: "I don't want to lose you either... I can't believe he'd involve someone else in a punishment like that!"
Koopa: "Yeah, even for him, that's really mean..."
S: "Yeah...really mean...can't believe my dad would do something like that... but then again, it doesn't really surprise me..." *Jr takes some calming breathes to prepare himself*
L: Mew and the koopa get ready again as well, staying close to Jr to hopefully help him stay calm.
S: *Jr wraps both of his arms around mew and his koopa friend, this time determined to stay relaxed*
L: Eventually, Mew does the usual countdown, and he and the koopa both submerge, hoping to bring Jr with them.
S: *after taking a last deep breath, Jr finally submerges with them, his cheeks puffing up and trying to put on a brave face*
L: Both Jr's friends smile at him, then they all start heading toward the damaged section of the pipe together.
S: *Jr let's out some bubbles as they swim to the pipe, anxiety slowly building up within him*
L: Just as expected, it's not as long of a swim as before to get them to where they need to be. The koopa looks over the damage to get an idea of how to fix it, before getting started on that.
S: *Jr pitches in and helps koopa fix the problem, a constant stream of bubbles escaping his little nose, making his face already turn red*
L: Seeing Jr starting to strain, Mew gives them a kiss both to calm them down and share some air.
S: *Jr kisses back and let's the air flow into his lungs, his face returning to normal then resumes the work, it didn't take long for the pipe to finally get fixed*
L: Mew and the koopa smile at how much faster this work was than with the aquarium. All that's left now is to feed the fish, who do look a little restless.
S: *as Jr turns around and sees the restless fish, he rolls his eyes*
"Uhbl ohbl..."
L: The koopa does his best to talk clearly. "Itbl'll ble fiblne, thblis wobln't tablke loblng..."
S: "Ugblh..." *Jr's face is red again, clearly not looking forward to feeding the fish*
L: The koopa swims toward the fish, opening the food container he'd been given and holding it at arm's length. Immediately, the fish dart to him to start eating from the container, only about half of them able to get at it, making it clear that Jr will need to do the same as the koopa.
S: "Ohbl nobl..." *Jr groans out some bubbles and opens his food container and holds it at arm's length, closing his eyes afterwards*
L: In the same way as they had for the koopa, the remaining fish rush to Jr's container and start eating out of it as well. Mew stays next to Jr and watches, surprised at how frenzied the fish are.
S: "Donblt eblat...mebl..." *Jr starts to strain again, his whole face turning red*
L: Thankfully, the fish seem to have no interest in Jr himself. Despite having a blush himself, Mew gives Jr another air kiss, wanting to do everything he can to keep Jr comfortable.
S: *Jr accepts the air kiss, his blush a bit less now, but is still visable as he feeds the fish*
L: The fish getting food from the koopa are soon satisfied, swimming away from him, and before long the same happens with the ones with Jr.
S: *as soon as Jr's fish are done, he immediately pushes his way up and swims to the surface*
L: Mew and the koopa surface not long after him, both gasping.
Mew: "M-man, those fish were super hungry!"
Koopa: "They always get like that when they haven't been fed in a while... But hey, we're finally done!"
S: *Jr gasps in air and immediately gets out of the water*
"Good grief I'm so glad that's over! I'm outta here!" *Jr runs back inside the castle*
L: Mew and the koopa chuckle a little as they watch Jr take off.
Back in the castle, Jr happens across Bowser again.
Bowser: "So, you're back. You got your job done, right?"
S: "Yes I did! It's all done! Finally..." *he chuckles a bit*
L: Bowser smiles. "And I can tell that's the truth, too. Good work, Jr, and again, sorry for putting you through all that." He pats Jr's head.
S: "Heh heh... thanks dad...just, try not to let me do that stuff for a while...anyways, I'm finally gonna go to sleep...I'm exhausted" *Jr yawns and makes his way to his bedroom, he was so tired that immediately after he got in bed, he fell right asleep*
L: When Mew and the koopa return to the castle, the koopa goes to their room to sleep, while Mew joins Jr, carefully getting into their bed to avoid waking them, cuddling them as he slowly falls asleep too.
S: *Jr smiles in his sleep and cuddles back with mew, lightly kissing them as they sleep together*
