I'm reminded of a "what if" scenario I once read about if the Earth and moon collided.

Scientists speculate if that were to happen, the moon would be pulled apart into asteroids and meteors before it ever reached the Earth. That's because the gravity holding the moon together is only one sixth of the gravity holding the Earth together.
